Quit kissing ass, every time Brian does an "impression" it's an insult to the wrestlers because A(He does it horrible each time he does it and B) it's disrespectful to the wrestlers themselves.
The thing that really sticks with me about Daniel Bryan's victory in the main event is that one of the very first things he did after the match was over was walk over to Connor Michalek, the young boy suffering from cancer that for the previous year and a half had gotten himself familiar with the WWE roster and company brass, which all started because he wanted to meet Bryan, his favorite wrestler. Bryan, this child's personal hero, greeting Connor right after winning and telling him that he wouldn't have been able to do it without Connor's support, gets me in the heart every time I think about it, especially knowing Connor died only 19 days later. I will always respect Bryan for making his moment Connor's moment too.
Shows how big Bryan's heart is and it's what made his AEW win at Wembley even sweeter knowing his family was ringside, screaming "l love you so much" to them as he was hulking up while getting kicked to hell, and having his daughter be the one who got "his" last question at the press conference (of course by his request). Dude almost went into the Peace Corps but decided to continue wrestling ... a person with a big heart is easy to love
Lesnar proceeded to stay with the company for nine years, hold most of his world titles, and return to Wrestlemania main event four times after this PPV. He was used to crown Seth, Roman, Drew, and Cody as top guys, keeping all of his credibility after each loss. I don't think they would have kept the finish the same, knowing that Taker wouldn't retire for six years, but there was much more upside to giving the win to Brock than people thought at the time.
And now Taker's streak potentially was ended by a dude involved in a shocking, vile sex controversy and time will tell but his part in it may have even been criminal.

There needs to be a "Don't Try This At Home" ad for the Davey Boy Smith Chinlock, the Savio Vega Nerve Pinch, and the General Adnan Back Rake. These three moves can end careers in an instant.
Fascinating conclusion there. I would argue that Wyatt vs Cena at WM30 going the way it did is vital for their Firefly Funhouse match years later. Without that one-sided match, we don't get Wyatt's magnum opus. Taker vs Lesnar was sad to watch at the time, and the moment when Taker becomes concussed is so easy to spot too. You could tell that Lesnar hadn't really a plan and they were just hurtling towards the finish.
I was there in New Orleans that night for this. It was my first WrestleMania I’ve ever been to. I was with two friends and together, we were living our dream. I can’t believe it’s been 10 years since it happened.
Thanks for giving this show the proper classic PPV review treatment - this was the last WM I missed before I got back into wrestling properly with WM 31. Hard to believe it was ten years ago!
You reviewed 18 and 30. One certain WrestleMania I was hoping you'd review was 24. Kind of a missed opportunity, you review three WrestleManias, 6 years apart from each other. But I enjoyed your WM 2 review. I know you'll get to 24 someday.
I admittedly thought that this show was the best Wrestlemania after I watched it ten years ago, and while I agree with your final assessment, I maintain that this may have been the most powerful Wrestlemania ever, in terms of emotion.
I love how you still have your home star runner action figures in the background!! I named my first band, which was a ska band, fatty’s big chance!! After the teen girl squad episode, the battle of the bands one, just thought about that. I haven’t checked the website in so long, but those few years, they were killing it! I bought the strong bad and friends album back then, but I wish wish wish I would have bought the action figures!! Dunno why I’m ranting, but just wanted to say I miss that series and appreciate your series and that you have always had those figures in the background!! Thank you! About to start watching wrestlemania XL!
Remember when TNA tried to ride off this event by repackaging Eric Young as an underdog babyface, and having him become number one contender and win the world title all within a day?
I love this video cuz it kindof plays into how long you've been doing the UA-cam stuff man. Enjoy wrestlemania weekend Zane! Can't wait for your review on it! Thank you for everything!
A day removed from WM40's craziness, I'm surprised they didn't go through similarly pulling out all the stops for odds for Cody to overcome, though I suppose the No DQ "Bloodline Rules" was enough.
The first time I met Jerry Lawler, we had a conversation for a few minutes. One of the questions I asked him was if he was the only announcer to actually drink the Mountain Dew. He confirmed that he would occasionally but the others never touched the bottles.
The fact they gave us a second version of the ending of emotional moment of Benoit and Eddie Guerrero hugging and celebrating after WrestleMania 20 main event to have it with Daniel Bryan winning heck Benoit and Bryan won a triple threat main event with a submission move
We're about to get a fourth version of the emotional babyface win to cap of a Wrestlemania ending at "0". Bret at 10, Benoit (yeah, I know...) at 20, Bryan at 30.... Cody at 40?
Thank you so much, this was the first wrestlemania I ever attended and always wanted to go to another one. Words can explain how much it felt for me looking at the stage in person and not on t.v I actually shed a tear knowing the one of few things I ever wanted to do I was able to do it. Thank you for posting this review and bringing back those memories for me.
I do agree Bret vs Owen and Triple H vs Daniel Bryan were some great opening matches in Wrestlemania history however Eddie vs Rey at Mania 21 was a classic. Very good opener.
Wrestlemania 30 was probably the last time i was actually emotionally invested in a wrestling event. It was entirely due to the story with Daniel Bryan, as he had been my favorite indie wrestler for about a decade up to that point and I really wanted to see him get that moment.
When I first discovered the channel back in late 2015, I actually ran across the WrestleMania XXX review on Dailymotion while scouring various video sites for more WWW content. (Fun fact: that's also where I found all of the old blocked videos that were edited or not on UA-cam at the time.) All these years later, I'm glad it's receiving the Classic PPV Review treatment since this year marks the tenth anniversary. With that said, my hope now is that the various Manias Brian has been able to attend live and in person will also become a part of this segment in the future.
A personal favorite moment in this show was Jerry yelling "Special Moment" during the Hogan, Austin, Rock segment. Just felt very funny how he delivered it.
16:00 I've gotta ask Brian, was your voice change, during the Tilt a Whirl , a reference to one of our shared, favorite moments?? 'Get ready for the Big Swing!!!' -Ivory LOL There something so, out of left field about it. It's hilarious and a bit sad, because she gets no reaction! Poor Tina Moriartti. Maybe She thought she was back at the Riviera: Hotel and casino, filming a G.L.O.W. Match. Regardless. I appreciate her effort. Cheers 'Ivory' & Godspeed.
Insane that Divas match was considered to be in death spot and in 2024 at WM 40, Bayley vs Iyo Sky was at the same spot. However it ended up being a top 3 match of the weekend and crowd popped big for Bayley.
Lesnar and Vince went to the Hospital after the Taker match apparently. The Streak ending so meekly was sad.....it deserved a better ending than Taker barely able to work.
We have all as wrestling fans had a crazy few years. Let's all come together tonight to relish in the first papa H wrestlemania. If this is anything like the business that's been going on, we might be in for one of the best wrestlemanias of all time! Thank you for the upload Mr. Z!
I think the main issue with Cena vs Wyatt is the fact at this point the crowd was resigned about Cena's character. They knew he would never change and he would win even if it doesn't make sense. Also the story with Wyatt pushing Cena to the "dark side" was already tried with Kane in 2012 ("Embrace the hate") and we all know how it turned out... So of course they weren't as invested as WWE wanted to. Which is too bad because Bray's character at the time was a breath of fresh air and Cena actually sold fear and concern pretty well during the build-up of this match (and great promo package too). At the time I really enjoyed the match (minus the finish of course) because it was more storytelling than wrestling moves and Bray was so captivating to watch. Maybe I should rewatch it, I didn't expect you would reject it ^^
I think if the result had Bray taking advantage of Cena's indecision and pulling off the win, forcing Cena to re-evaluate himself to a point where we do briefly see "The Dark Side of the Cenation" for like a couple of weeks or so until Cena inevitably rises above it to blow off the feud with Bray.
I can always say I was there when the streak ended, bad match but amazing moment after the match. Stunned silence. I was also at WM 34, and remember meeting you at the wrestlecon before hand. I was star struck lol
When I found out that the strike was over! I found out the next day right before school! I was completely shocked at school that Monday! When I told my friends no one believed me!
WM30 was my first Mania I attended and when Brock pinned Taker, it really went dead silent in the Superdome until they showed the 21-1 graphic and the crowd collectively groaned in unison when that graphic popped up. Thank goodness Daniel Bryan's win at the end of the night helped the crowd celebrate on Bourbon Street afterwards. That was one memorable night
To think that this Wrestlemania is now 10 years old is mind blowing, to see where I was at 13 years old versus now at 23 years old is mind blowing and little did I realize that at the point this would be my peak of being a WWE fan before taking a break for a couple of years and then returning around 2016 and now being a bigger fan and now having friends who love WWE just like me, it’s truly crazy to look back at this WM and not just how amazing it was but where I was in my life

35:20 nice reference, you’re on fire today Brian! I especially liked “Ricky Steamboat comes in and is some karate.”
But Ricky Steamboat is not part of Cobra Kai or part of the Steve Blackman Dojo
Trainers, EMTs, Referees down. Nice callback to the Dont try this at home ad 😅
There needs to be a "Don't Try This At Home" ad for the Davey Boy Smith Chinlock, the Savio Vega Nerve Pinch, and the General Adnan Back Rake.
These three moves can end careers in an instant.
I had a bone that fragmented into my spinal column
I've had surgery five times in my left knee
Fascinating conclusion there. I would argue that Wyatt vs Cena at WM30 going the way it did is vital for their Firefly Funhouse match years later. Without that one-sided match, we don't get Wyatt's magnum opus.
Taker vs Lesnar was sad to watch at the time, and the moment when Taker becomes concussed is so easy to spot too. You could tell that Lesnar hadn't really a plan and they were just hurtling towards the finish.
Crazy to know Wrestlemania 30 is worthy of a classic review, time flies 😢
Ikr
It's been one of the most insane weeks for wrestling, and it isn't even over
Sweet Jeezus
I was there in New Orleans that night for this. It was my first WrestleMania I’ve ever been to. I was with two friends and together, we were living our dream. I can’t believe it’s been 10 years since it happened.
Funny part is wwes best moments are always the ones they had no intention of doing
I piss my pants after every impression you did lmao I never saw em coming everytime
Wasn't that IRS's finisher "The Write Off" @18:16 ???
As a Michigan native I loved hearing The Silverdome
Paul Heyman: Superdome, Hogan. Not Silverdome
The fact that a Wrestlemania that is 10 years old a Classic review blows my mind.
Well this is a nice surprise to see you upload this!
“Trainers, EMTs, Referees down” has my dying, I just hear the “I ruptured a disc which fragmented into my spinal column” 😂
26:32 "Goes for the Last Ri.....huh huh huh that's not it" was so funny 😂
Worth it just for the Lawler and JBL impressions. Fun video.
Thanks for giving this show the proper classic PPV review treatment - this was the last WM I missed before I got back into wrestling properly with WM 31. Hard to believe it was ten years ago!
There were 3 certain WrestleManias I was kind of hoping you'd review this year, and you reviewed two of them.
26:32 Last ri...😥😢😢😭😭
After a long time, I laughed loud but also felt sad at the same time.
Lol
The network was pretty cool. Just turn the channel on in the background and get your housework done
31:38 I entirely forgot that Orndorff was in that segment looking bizarrely spiffing.
Flopped harder than the Daniel Bryan title reign 😔
I love this video cuz it kindof plays into how long you've been doing the UA-cam stuff man. Enjoy wrestlemania weekend Zane! Can't wait for your review on it! Thank you for everything!
Zane's JBL imitation was hilariously spot on.
I, too, remember laughing when the trainers came out after DB went through the announce table. "Let's just pile it on!"
A day removed from WM40's craziness, I'm surprised they didn't go through similarly pulling out all the stops for odds for Cody to overcome, though I suppose the No DQ "Bloodline Rules" was enough.
Happy Mania weekend Brian. Thanks for all you do for our entertainment!
Wrestling With Wregret…YEAH
The first time I met Jerry Lawler, we had a conversation for a few minutes. One of the questions I asked him was if he was the only announcer to actually drink the Mountain Dew. He confirmed that he would occasionally but the others never touched the bottles.
9:54 lol That Triple H impression is so funny lol. The uh is so good
I'M IN THIS VIDEO! I was a part of the Occupy Raw segment! D-Bry is one of the nicest people you'll ever meet.
It looked fun to be with Bryan
The fact they gave us a second version of the ending of emotional moment of Benoit and Eddie Guerrero hugging and celebrating after WrestleMania 20 main event to have it with Daniel Bryan winning heck Benoit and Bryan won a triple threat main event with a submission move
I’ll never forget that moment from 20 with Eddie and Steven Richards….i get emotional just thinking about it
We're about to get a fourth version of the emotional babyface win to cap of a Wrestlemania ending at "0". Bret at 10, Benoit (yeah, I know...) at 20, Bryan at 30.... Cody at 40?
@@DasNordlicht91 i really hope so
@@DasNordlicht91nah lol 😂
@@MrAjking808welp it happened
Thank you so much, this was the first wrestlemania I ever attended and always wanted to go to another one. Words can explain how much it felt for me looking at the stage in person and not on t.v I actually shed a tear knowing the one of few things I ever wanted to do I was able to do it. Thank you for posting this review and bringing back those memories for me.
I do agree Bret vs Owen and Triple H vs Daniel Bryan were some great opening matches in Wrestlemania history however Eddie vs Rey at Mania 21 was a classic. Very good opener.
I truly miss the WWE Network stateside but this brings back memories of watching this Mania on it! Thanks for sharing this review, Brian. ❤
Wrestling With Wregret- The first night of 'WWE WrestleMania 40' is tonight.
I hope you enjoy it.
I hope everybody else enjoys it, as well...
Enjoy brother!
The dark part of me only wishes to see how the event would've went had they went through with the original card, ESPECIALLY Batista/Orton in the main.
I also have this DVD box set so it holds a special place in my heart along with 29 in East Rutherford
Love another one of these redo-reuploads! Fantastic work sir! Thank you for this!
Yes Bryan, we really need a video on the best hype packages of all time. I need to you how you rank My Way, Monster and Runnjng up the hill!
A personal favorite moment in this show was Jerry yelling "Special Moment" during the Hogan, Austin, Rock segment. Just felt very funny how he delivered it.
"I love him, chokeslammed me through a limo. A legend."
16:00
I've gotta ask Brian, was your voice change, during the Tilt a Whirl , a reference to one of our shared, favorite moments??
'Get ready for the Big Swing!!!'
-Ivory
LOL There something so, out of left field about it. It's hilarious and a bit sad,
because she gets no reaction! Poor Tina Moriartti. Maybe She thought she was back at the Riviera: Hotel and casino, filming a G.L.O.W.
Match.
Regardless. I appreciate her effort. Cheers 'Ivory'
& Godspeed.
Being the match right after the end of the Streak was the ultimate Wrestlemania death spot.
Insane that Divas match was considered to be in death spot and in 2024 at WM 40, Bayley vs Iyo Sky was at the same spot. However it ended up being a top 3 match of the weekend and crowd popped big for Bayley.
Taker being tanned would get Eric Bishoff's approval.
How many WWE pay per views have you not reviewed? you are literally the GOAT of ppv reviews.
i love how you pick up on all the small things like the spanish guy pointing at the french guy.
Happy WrestleMania Day 1!
That may literally be the greatest JBL impersonation I've ever heard in my entire life.
Oh the Miracle on Bourbon Street! Yes Yes Yes!! Great review as always!
Never laughed so hard during one of your reviews. Loved this one 😅
I had a feeling at the beginning of the year that he was gonna review Mania 30 during Mania season and it finally came true
Bigger moments and a sad moment for this WrestleMania, cool review as always Brian 💯
Fun W3 fact: this is the first classic pay per view review where the event took place AFTER the creation of the channel.
I popped for ‘1885 Hill Valley’ 😂
😂😂😂 Yo bro you kill me wit the Jerry Lawlor impersonations LMFAO.
Brian: If WWE doesn't listen to fans for the main event, what would that even look like?
Me: WM 32, basically.
Me: Potentially, WM40 if Cody doesn't win on Sunday.
I can always say I was there when the streak ended, bad match but amazing moment after the match. Stunned silence. I was also at WM 34, and remember meeting you at the wrestlecon before hand. I was star struck lol
2014 - now … Crown Royal track suit STAY strong !! 👍🏾👍🏾
I was there live!!! Such a cool experience, from the Hall of Fame to Wrestlemania itself!
When I found out that the strike was over! I found out the next day right before school! I was completely shocked at school that Monday! When I told my friends no one believed me!
That JBL commentary reenactment by Brian was fantastic. 😂
Be amusing if a WrestleMania gets scheduled in Salt Lake City, UT or Sturgis, SD for a biker theme.
