guess 66 nah hè tellin the truth. This event was the end of the first half of the ruthless aggression. Everything after this until late 2005 was a transitional period to the second half...
The ending to Wrestlemania 20 is my personal favorite Mania ending. The emotion, Chris Benoit and Eddie holding their respective titles up high. It's simply amazing. If anyone disagrees, come at me. Also, 50 minutes?? This will be good.

The controversy with Benoit and hbk was that Benoit was a smackdown wrestler when he won the royal rumble so he was the first to use the loop hole of challenging for the world heavyweight championship instead of the expected WWE title on his show. After that was where WWE made the point of including the rumble winners decision on which title they go for.
To think: 'WWE 2K14' has the Brock Lesnar/Goldberg match from 'WWE WrestleMania 20' as one of the many classics you play through in '30 Years Of WrestleMania' mode... I was embarrassed to have gone through that match, again--even though it was in a video game.

Somewhere out there there is a new wrestling fan who has enough knowledge of wrestling history to know who Austin, Lesner and Goldberg are, but isn't aware of this match. They are going to be so disappointed.
John Riley - True. Let’s just hope it is back in MSG again some day. It’s a shame they don’t go there as much now. Any show in MSG just has a special feel to it
My first pay per view, and wrestling event I watched live. I missed the attitude era. But watched all of that after I got into the ruthless aggression era. Eddie and Chris celebrating together with the belts. Still crazy what happen...
Wrestling With Wregret- What did Bryan Zane say about the WWE around 26:06-26:09 about Goldberg & Brock Lesnar, again?... "This left the WWE in a bit of an odd--" what?...
Both the Angle/Guerrero and Triple H/Shawn Michaels/Chris Benoit matches were amazing! The ending with Chris and Eddie was both epic and emotional. It’s really sad to look back on that moment now since both guys have passed away. And it’s an even bigger shame in the case of Benoit as well. Guerrero has legendary status in the WWE, but Benoit has been permanently erased from the history books forever. If he hadn’t of killed his family, WWE would have been more than happy to keep his whole legacy behind him.
at that point, benoit was the best wrestler in the world. he outclassed even guys like angle and guerrero, though he wasn't nearly as well rounded with the rest of his skills as they were. if he had just killed himself, he would be considered one the greatest of all time.
@@TheRealDustinNunn Well, it's great they kept some of his legacy by showing his matches on the Network. That's ok. If the die hard wrestling fans who both knew and watched Chris Benoit, they would want to remember him not for what happened during those 3 days in June, but for his wrestling. In my eyes, he was and still is one of the best.
HBK v HHH v [REDACTED] was amazing, Guerrero v Angle was also pretty decent, but Lesnar v Goldberg was horrendous, ironically, it reminds me a lot of recent Lesnar matches lmao...
Its too bad WWE won't do MSG, or similar arenas. I loved when the hard cam faced the side entrance like they did with some of the older shows and even some of the RR matches of the same era. Its so intimate and close up. Those smaller venues with a great crowd is far better than 100,000 fans that you can't really see or hear.
I don’t think he should ever review episodes of raw or smack down no matter what circumstances because stupid fans will think he’s gonna review any raw or smack down episode
Just to let you know, Zane,.Rikishi and Scotty would drop the SmackDown Tag-Team Titles to the odd couple of Charlie Haas and Rico Constantiano the following month because Rikishi wouldn't lose weight and got shit-canned from WWE, post-haste.

This one was a special Wrestlemania for me. It was the last year of out Monday Night Raw get together's with myself and my group of wrestling fans (two of which ran the indy circuit for a very short bit). Angle and taker were on smackdown as well. Cena wasn’t ready yet. Benoit had already beaten HHH and HBK. Nowadays, Benoit would’ve been champion a lot more.
@@Deathpool_04 I feel like the one thing missing from his reign was a proper program with HBK because there had never before been a good feud between the two of them (just one title match on Raw iirc)
Booka Ki If it’s just those two, yeah, I wish they did. Two of the greatest in ring performers in the business, of all time, also the two only winners who won a rumble from number 1, having a real feud. They still had great matches but man, I think they could’ve done a lot more.
Another good feud Benoit could’ve had with the title, would be Chris Jericho too. I don’t know why they didn’t do this.

How so?
@@thealjohnsonshow2188 I watched the show as the ending of a lot of guys I used to like when I was a child.
And the culmination of two "underdogs" capturing the gold at the biggest stage, it was a real feel good moment, see Eddie and Chris celebrating, hugging each other, the confetti, the tears, I liked that moment, to me, is the perfect pay off to the career of both guys, watching them from WCW, jumping ship to WWF, then going back and fort on the midcard to finally win against the best performer the company had at the moment (Angle) and two of the biggest name in the industry (but personal opinion, way too overrated) do the job to a little canadian guy who got inserted in the main event, was shocking, was good, was as Bryan said, a cathartic moment.
I like to think about WM XX like that, everything that came after is fun and shaped WWE to the company that we watch today, but that moment was good, was watching two of my boys achieving something really important
😂😂😂 what? The WWF's been switched in nearly two years and if you're talking about "The Feeling of WWF" well than the last Wrestlemania to have that feeling was 18 since 19 had HHH and his reign of Terror, Lesnar being the next big thing, and for 20 it was Cena's, Orton's and Batista's first Wrestlemanias and those three guys along with Edge represented the Ruthless Aggression Era

Thomas Jenkins Yeah. If he only killed himself, WWE would have kept all his matches and bios, which is sad because a lot of them were extraordinary.
