Great vids, thanks for sharing 👍🏻
Thanks for watching
I'm very interested to hear your experience with the lava rock in the reef tank, looking forward for it 👍
Thanks, so far so good
Nice one get a piece of gutter that will sort out those dips
Great idea
Looks great Ross! I was going to ask about the temperature and insulation, glad you spoke about it at the end 👌
Thanks 🤗
Beautiful prawns I want to have them, for turtles I have CST and alligator snapping turtle Greetings, a new friend from Indonesia, I like your videos
Thanks and welcome
@@EverydayAquarist ok bro
The fish house is coming on great mate. Enjoyed the update.
That is a puzzle about the shrimp. I know they can panic molt if they're stressed but if they've been in there for a good while it's more a sign of conditions are right for them hey. Really odd one. Will definitely be interested in an update when you get to the bottom of it
Thanks, someone mentioned pH so I must check it out. I was hoping for millions of babies by now lol
That’s not a map turtle. It’s one of the North American turtles of the genus Pseudemys, commonly called “cooters.”
Thanks it was sold to me as a map so I didn't look any further for identity.
Use expanding foam or insulation foam spray to fill the gaps and you can even cover the beams with it that will stop alot of the condensation. Also by adding a dehumidifier you will prevent the moisture collecting.
Nice ideas
Nice setups there cheers and thanks for the share
Thanks for watching
@@EverydayAquarist cheers friend 👍🏻👍🏻
@@EverydayAquarist cheers
Wicked
Glad you think so
@@EverydayAquarist defo love your videos need to pop some more on 😂
Hello, watching your video this fluval aquarium caught my attention. Do you think it is easy to adapt an eheim filter? I have a 2178 with a built-in heater. Good videos.
Inspirarional. Doing stuff with your own hands. Running experiments. Not much of the expensive overspecialized LFS stuff
Thanks. I'm enjoying my hobby!
where did you manage to purchase the large blue tub from for your sump as i have tried everywhere i can think of ? cheers
I got it made by a plastics company
Any plans to do a turtle specific video?
Might do a turtle pond next spring
Yeah with the crystals just make sure the pH is under 6 and kh is 0
Why don't you use some Celotex strips and silver tape to box in the bare metal beams on the roof this will stop the condensation hitting a cold surface and dripping.
The humid air is hitting the roof behind the celotex and dripping onto the beams so I'm not sure that would help. It's not a big problem as it doesn't drip on anything and is common in metal sheds. Thanks for the suggestion though
Had the same problem with Crystal Reds and black Crystal ,
3 months no babies 6 months nothing ! Wasn't until I made sure the PH stayed at 6 Or as close
To that as I could im not one for chasing PH I thought almond leaves and soil was enough 🙃
Guess not I finally see babies l
Thanks I'll check my pH
That isn't a Map turtle
Yeah I have been educated
You're going to have mold issues. Anything above 50% humidity will grow mold.
I'll be making lids for all the tanks
@@EverydayAquarist they help however it doesn't make up for the 1k gallons of water you're running in a ten by ten shed. You're going to have to step it up with a dehumidfier.
I'm not so sure, my wooden one hasn't suffered from mold and it's pretty much always at around 60% humidity for the last 2 years. I'll see how it goes. (also its 15x12 😉)
