I am very confident .I’am already consistent with my wedges and my short irons but I’am less consistent with my hybrid and fairway woods. With my driver will I have to place my ball a bit back in my stance ?
It's great that you're already consistent with your wedges and short irons! As for your hybrid, fairway woods, and driver, it's always a good idea to experiment with ball placement in your stance to find what works best for you. But Driver usually responds best being in line with lead foot heel Keep practicing and you'll improve!

What the need for different length shafts?
Distance and to keep launch lower
I struggle with the concept when the irons are different lengths anyway. I mean, how much more can you be "over" the ball with a short iron? Unless you are saying all clubs are better balanced when you grip down on them? If this works why doesn't everyone just buy shorter clubs? Just trying to understand.
