An explanation and demonstration Alex of the 3 basic steps for an effortless golf swing! Something that I will be looking into and trying! Well Done Alex! Always look forward to your videos!
Hi Alex love you're lessons I'm struggling a little with the exxit of the shot I feel like I'm not exiting left enough but can on remedy this with a less deep back swing so pulling a lot of shot I deepen the back swing for a little draw and because the swing is 1 arc or plane feels like I'm swinging to much to the right or very straight. Almost like I need to flatten off my plane but that seems like I'm not over the ball compressing it. Am I missing something or am I just not rotating the hips quick enough b4 my arms overtake
One think I noticed by myself (and you kind of mention here) is how a fully square to the ball and target does not feel very athletic and conducive to power. If you want to throw a baseball, your body is way more diagonal to the target. I've been experimenting with opening my body more to the target, meaning, flaring not only my left foot but also my hips and shoulders (very slightly). Head is also more diagonal allowing my right dominant eye to look directly over the ball. I can still swing up but I get more power and precision on the downswing. The only negative I noticed is a tendency to generate a pull, so I had to adjust ball position a bit further back and make sure I push my follow through forward, instead of letting it naturally rotate to the left.
The hands don’t press forward in that sense. It may look it. The key is to have the lead arm hanging from shoulder… that’s where you hold with lead hand. Bring the club to that more or less
It's funny that UA-cam always seems to know exactly what's going on with me in golf. I seem mentally and physically incapable of creating a repeatable swing. This video helps a lot. Thank you. How do you coach a player like me who wants to have a nice fluid repeatable swing but is incapable of hitting the seven iron over a hundred yards?
I feel your frustration. I am also struggling to develop a repeatable swing. I have a mental issue with trying to smash a ball the way I used to a couple of decades ago. The more online instructors I watch the worse I get. I try to remember all of the tips they provide. Alex Fortey is the best I've seen so far though. I'm trying to do some practice exercises to ingrain who he has stressed
Try not being able to hit anything aviet 40 yards 😂 Every club, no matter what just scuffs along the ground Front of stance, back of stance, middle of stance doesn't matter Everything just topped along the grass
That's an interesting point but not many golfers need that cue to incorporating more chest sway into the swing. It often leads to too much. But it can work well for sure.
I prefer the momentum of hip rotation to initiate the backswing. Then the backswing becomes compact and I can initiate the downswing by turning my hips. I hope you agree with me on that.

Well that is greatly appreciated. Chuffed it resonates and thanks for sharing 💪👍🏌🏽
I was trying to find my best swing again for the past week and this helped me get back my sweet spot.
Thk u so much for the tips

Looks like a nice simple routine will be trying this...
That’s the goal. Let us know how it goes!
I like that, I'll give it a try. 👏👍👏👍
Great vid, thanks 👍

I like this lesson, and "Back and Forth " lesson.
Great lesson ... As always KISS is best
Too easy to forget that though! We all need reminding at times 😊🏌🏽⛳️
Nice video
Does the head tilt direction affect how far the hands are pressed foreward?

With that tilt, wouldn't it be better to have "chest sway" away from target before you start the swing, and rotate the ribcage?
