    Salt your pasta water! You don't need to add oil, but the water should be salty like the sea! The pasta absorbs the salt while it cooks and it makes such a huge diffrence. Also, reserving some of that pasta water to add to the sauce can really level it up.

    Very Cool, Thankyou GregO. Looks Awesome. Definitely trying this soon instead of my Tuna Pasta Salad dish. Have you seen the video of "The Dad" eating pasta with a pair of scissors in hand? He puts pasta in mouth than whatever is hanging out of mouth gets cut with scissors, amazing. HaHaHa. All the Best. Cheers

    Grego mate!! You should wash that yummy pasta dish down with several glasses of white wine!! Chardonnay perhaps or a classic white. Perfect finish to a great meal Grego!!

    This looks like a cracking recipe. Aussie bacon looks amazing. Back bacon and streaky all in one slice. Still going to have a go with pom bacon.

    For the crispiest bacon Greg .
    Sprinkle the bacon with pepper, salt and sugar. Put the bacon in a cold cold pan with any oil ya like .
    Cook on medium with baking paper over the top of the bacon as this acts like parchment paper and stops oil from spitting on you. Cook for 5 mins each side or until it’s crispy enough for you . 🔥

    I do one with zachinni, garlic, parmesan with pasta water eldente heaps of olive oil, and ham, bacon optional because it's taste so good

    Those other cups attached to the green one probably include a third of a cup and a half of a cup. With 4 rashers of bacon and a shit ton of butter, you should probably have a difribrilator on stand by. (edit - and it looks delicious)

    Good stuff, Greg, that looks awesome.
    Oddly enough, I have a ceramic topped electric hob that I would like to be able to cook with a wok on, what are your thoughts on that?
    I've heard there are "adapters" you can get for a wok, are they any good?
    I'm sick of not being able to cook Chinese food at home.

    Grego you're supposed to throw the pasta against the wall to see if it's cooked. Also if you put a touch of oil in it will stop the butter from burning.

    Capers are disgusting, but the end result looked absolutely AMAZING! I'll definitely be trying this without the capers. So glad you didn't add capsicum, because that stuff is the spawn of the devil! You can't go wrong with pasta. Greatest thing ever invented. Even if it's just pasta, butter and cheese. Yummmo!

    ive been adding olive oil to my pasta water for years, but i recently saw an italian chef from a famous brand pasta and spaghetti company in USA, say not to add olive oil as it prevents the sauce sticking to the spaghetti. i mention it for what its worth.
    2 hours later - bloody hell. just watched marco pierre white (one of the top chefs in the world) and he adds olive oil to his pasta water. his mother was italian so he must know something about boiling pasta. i guess its six of one and half a dozen of the other lol. i give up.

      Damned if you do. Damned if you don't.
      Do whatever you feels right.
      Personally I don't add oil to boiling water because it ruins the oil and changes the flavour bitter which the pasta picks up.
      I oil my pasta before serving.

    Alternatively replace the capers with green pepper corns and add 1/2 cup of cooking cream.
    Use the sauce for pasta, chicken, red meat.

    There's a British version of Greg on UA-cam who does food reviews called "Stevens Allsorts". Kind of blew me away, absolute mirror image of Greg and his style but with a Brit accent.

    Since you were using chicken stock powder, just use the powder straight into the butter without the water. Then you wouldn’t have to reduce it for so long

    Great recipe. Would add salt to the pasta water at the beginning then use a few tablespoons of the water at the end over the pasta/sauce mix to help emulsify the sauce and make it even creamier.
