As a high school coach I can't thank you enough for sharing this! I refuse to stop reminding my athletes that they are strong, smart and capable. We can do hard things and we can teach people to #seemygame
Started following for your Haikyuu videos but glad I’m seeing your other content. The message in the video is moving and shouldn’t need to be a conversation but unfortunately is. Love the videos and content!
This is really inspiring, so many people struggle with this and you help so many people with these videos 💖💖 Especially with sports a lot of people struggle with feeling like they need the perfect body with their sports. Thank you for making these videos!!
I’ve never really had a role model, and never really have expected me to have one. I could never find one that fit me. But I have one now, and I’m proud to say it’s you. I want to play volleyball in college just like you AND before I even heard of you, I had the same number as you. I’ve always been #4 and always will be. I think it’s a sign 😅😅
I got teary eyed watching this. Thank you for sharing, this is SO IMPORTANT for women, young and old, athletes or not. It’s very eye opening not only for those who never thought about it but also very important to people like me who have to be reminded that every body is a body and can do amazing things.
I love this so much, it seriously needs to be talked about! As female athletes we get pressure and it's easy to think things like "I practice every day, why don't I have abs? Or " I need to change my body so I look better in my spandex", those kinds of things. Loving your body is a journey, and I am so happy to hear the girls in these videos saying how they accepted themselves, because they really are strong, incredible, beautiful women. And that needs to celebrated!
You really inspire me! I haven't been feeling very comfortable in my body lately but after binge watching your videos and social media I feel MUCH better about myself! Thank you so much!💖
Different sports require different body types and different forms of fitness, but don't take it to the point where being "healthy" starts to become unhealthy.
I never thought that female athletes also have insecurities with how amazing you all are in the court. What's more amazing to see though is the indomitable spirit that you all have and how you don't let those insecurities define you on the court ❤️
As someone who's been overweight all their life I've never thought about women athletes having body image issues. Its interesting how the societal narrative of a "perfect" body effects everyone so negatively. Nice video.
I used to be an athlete and used to think that I “thick thighs” but for me I never rlly cared abt whether guys found my body attractive or not. In fact, a lot of guys used to say I had thick thighs and was thick as compliments but they always felt more like insults to me cus back then I thought that being “thick” was bad. It was just more of how I thought of myself and was comparing myself to other skinnier girls in my school than having men like my body or not yk?
@@arianas6957 i get you, but this just shows again that it is other females who cause you to have insecurities about yourself. But i'm surenyou look fine.
@@ElDragow yea fs I definitely agree and it was also the fact that some of the girls always body shamed other girls and called them whores for being “thick” but yea that was years ago and I’ve gotten a lot more comfortable in my body then I did in middle school
Nice serve at the end Vic~ Is so important to talk about topics like this. As an spectator is so easy to praise athletes when they're performing well, and, turn around criticize/blame when things go awry. Ppl often forget that to perform well and at a high lvl you not only have to take care of your physical, but, also of your mental health. In certain aspects I believe that women athletes have it worse than male athletes just simply because women are held much more to this crazy damaging beauty standards.
True, yes you have to be healthy but there's a difference between Literally starving yourself to death because people want you to be this type of this or that type of way just be yourself there's no point in trying to fit in with what societies trying to make you,I'm in middle school,And around this is the time that's when they starts to judge you more than they do i love hearing the stories of woman athletes Showing *GIRLPOWER* 🥳🥳
Hi Victoria! so like i’m in middle school and i’ve been having a tough time during this club season rn. My coach is a super tough coach and he’s been threatening to kick me off the team if i don’t step it up. can you make a video on dealing with the pressure and stress as an athlete?? also any tips on being a better passer???? thx and plzzz reply!
I doesn't matter what people say. Do whatever you want to do , live whatever however you want to live. That's the only way you can be happy. Only problem with our society is they are constantly thinking of social status and what will people think of us well chuck it , live life to your terms that's what I believe
I know you probably won’t answer this, but for my school newspaper I am writing a feature on the effect of athletics on mental health. I was hoping to score an interview with you? Just a few quick questions about your opinions and experiences! My Instagram is @julie.chenot 💝💖
When did society start teaching women that you should be super slim? Females are supposed to have a higher body fat percentage than men and what society teaches women about what their bodies should look like is COMPLETELY not natural. And yes, there are different body types and some women are naturally smaller and some are bigger, but It's gotten to the point where women who are completely healthy are told that they're "too big" or "too small" when in reality they are perfect the way they are. I'm a track athlete myself and I find myself judging my body when It's, for the most part, how it should look. It's the fact that we're told that we need to have a low body fat percentage, have a flat stomach and a narrow waist that make women think they need to change themselves in order to fit the standards when those standards are not even realistic.
Because she’s been making reaction videos to a volleyball anime 😂😂 you do anime reaction videos and you obtain an instant army of viewers and commenters lol
I’m sorry ik this supposed to be serious but she said “I don’t think most girls have a healthy relationship with food” but I’m over here downing some spaghetti
If I'm gonna choose a girl I'll marry..... I'd rather have an athletic wife.... Because the average good looking women don't have the strength to lift me.... Wife description: *Athletic *Can lift me (170 pounds) *Can watch anime with *Can make me happy..
“Don’t just look at my body, see my game.” New favorite quote!
Yes, so inspiring! And "I feel like a badass and I feel beautiful when I'm in the weight room!"
Remember: everytime you say it, you always have to follow by scoring an ace.

Girls portrait a body type that us guya never wanned. And then make us like the body's types they think is the best 😑

How can you have a 'unhealthy' body if you are an Athlete? Seems like an oxymoron.
