There is no possible way to have a productive conversation about body image in a video format like this. It is inherently degrading, and therefore is only fighting itself.
she almost said verbatim what I read about a supermodel who said the exact same thing. As she got older she became invisible. Like people who used to gawk at her when she walked into a room didn't even glance these days. Father time is undefeated
It's something that they will get used to. Although it's a different lifestyle, there's actually a lot of advantages to being ignored. You can think and focus on daily life without having to constantly be anxious about people engaging with you. You can sit in a park and people watch without guys thinking you're waiting to be approached or even caring that you're listening to their conversation. People generally don't care what you have to say, so you can listen more and engage in deeper philosophy. No reason to spend a fortune on makeup, nails, or a fancy haircut and clothes anymore. Really you do see women get a lot wiser and more tranquil as they age... And when they grow with their appearance instead of fighting against it, that tranquility and wisdom they gain IS beautiful. There's a huge portion of men who go from beginning to end without that attention. Although some of them let it weigh them down too, a portion would have a great deal of wisdom on dealing with the lack of societal love.
@@mirrors8913Tell me you've never talked for more than two minutes with a woman without telling me you've never talked for more than two minutes with a woman. The situation you're describing is far removed from the average woman's experience, unless she's incredibly attractive and/or beautiful (or has attractive features) or, alternatively, is either very self-conscious (and thus fears that people are looking at her) or too confident (and thus interprets everything as flirting). What is much more concerning to most of us is the fear that our partner will lose his attraction towards us as we age and that we'll spend our days resenting younger women and girls for still having what once was ours, while we're desperately trying to escape the reality of ageing and dying. Just to clarify that I'm saying this as a woman who is on the "pretty" side of average or slightly above if I put in enough effort, as are most of my female friends with whom I've discussed this topic. When a woman is talking about getting so much attention from men, she's often lying, prone to misinterpreting or actively dressing provocatively.

I thought the same lol, especially because a small waist is one of the main things that’s considered attractive and Sandi’s was way smaller. So if it “makes sense” for Wisall to be at the top it would make even more sense for her. But the entire experiment is weird tbh

I believe in equality between the sexes but comments like this make me question if that's true. Are women really so mentally fragile that this video "ruins" them? When I was a child and saw a ripped dude I thought wow I should work out. I'm 25 now and my reaction is the same
There is a difference between being cocky and confident. It's the fact that she kept going on about herself and claiming "that people would buy her body"...that's kind of crossing a line.
This is incredibly uncomfortable. Like, "Ladies I know you feel confident in your bodies, but I need 11 more of you to leave now, please lower you self-image and get out now."
If that's how you read it. You don't need to lower your self image to recognise 10 other girls in the room have a more attractive body. Like you can be insanely attractive and still think someone is just a bit more attractive than you
if you have to put yourself down or lower your self image to acknowledge that someone else is attractive or may even be more attractive than you, you may not be very confident or have a very high self image to begin with
I totally get Heniya. She might never see my comment but I just want to tell her that I’m so proud of her for doing dance. That is a way to connect with your body and your soul. I was also assaulted and the disconnect with my body is something I feel everyday. I went to a dance class that had sensual movement and I remember just breaking down during it. You are so strong Heniya and you inspire me! I want to try dance to connect with my body again.
Heniya's experience and how she expressed her relationship with her body moved me to tears. I love that she said she focused on nurturing her soul while she worked on reclaiming her body in her own way.
That girl in cargo jeans that was the 55th person to leave just pissed me off😭😭 she’s definitely top 10, close to sandisiwes body type. Why would sheeee

I genuinely just want to see how the group of men act around each other because it definitely wouldn't be so much love going around as there was in this video. girls hype each other up even in this awful situation lol, I'm so happy to see their interactions more than anything else
I think men tend to be more openly critical of eachother and would try to be objective about the perfect body type without the worry of hurting any feelings.
I don’t see how this experiment is beneficial to anybody. Yes the girls who were voted in the top ten may have gained confidence, but it probably just diminished everyone else’s. All of the women is this video were beautiful, but many of them said they have problems and had relationship with their body and this video probably made it worse.
This whole 100 concept is set up weird, too. Because it's not them deciding anything on any episode as a group. They just chat a bit and self eliminate. This is especially bad but the format overall needs help if they want to keep doing it
Does it need to be beneficial? And no, not all of the women in the video are beautiful. Some make decisions that negatively effect their body. That should not be seen as beautiful, but as something to avoid or improve upon.
@@nicolhelbichova984 who are you to say whether I can judge anybody or not? And besides, some people think I am unattractive, and that's fine. Then why sign up for it? Why agree to audition and be on video on a platform that has 8.5 million subscribers? They knew what the video was about and there's existing videos of this same format, too. No one had them at gunpoint to do this.
This felt really sinister to watch… I get that they all knew what they were signing up for and knew they could leave, but to literally place women’s attention solely on the value of their bodies in a society that already does that to us 24/7 just feels so objectifying.
I’m sure most of them came to realize that their value didn’t rely solely on their looks while participating. If that’s the oly thing you got from that video, the problem is on you
I think for me as a participant is... Yeah value isn't solely on appearance. But also we can discuss appearance clinically and neutrally without it being a mental health crisis, just like we can discuss "who is the tallest" and "who has perfect pitch" and "who has no rhythm" without it being a crisis, and without it diminshing ones own self worth 🙏 not everyone is beautiful AND that's OKAY

But hey, keep swimming in that shallow pool of superficiality, while I swim on the deeper end of self-worth.
It seems like Wissal isn't self aware enough to know the difference between the body type that she thinks is best, and what the general consensus in society may be. A fit, strong and toned body like she has is beautiful, and no doubt what she defines as beautiful. However, the ideal type for a woman is often described as soft and curvy. She couldn't take a step back from her achievements and her ambitions to see that while she may be the fittest body, her body type isn't the one that most closely resembles the ideal woman.
I already knew that Wissal is not even top 10. She have very small bre@st and she does not have that curve around waist even, it is just straight. Sandisiwe is easily my number 1 when it already come down to top 10 diacussion. She have everything about making a great body for women.

Was it really that weird though 😅maybe I’m just awful but I didn’t think much of what she said or how she conducted herself was ‘bad’ like she was literally voted #1 by the people in the room and honestly if she’d given some self deprecating like oh I have no idea why anyone would pick me first, that would’ve been seen badly as well no?
@@Elinlundkvistt oh no I didn’t think you were saying that! I was just going off of what I’ve seen from other comments and what the girl in the videos reaction suggested. There’s a lot of ‘she needs to be humbled’ going around and I was just genuinely confused at what her big transgression was :)
I want to hug all of these women. This video must’ve been so hard to film since it was so hard to watch. They’re all so beautiful and deserving of love and confidence, I hate the focus that we have to have on our bodies

@@mirrors8913that‘s so wise

@@whateverwhatever4026yeah exactly its women’s month my are we making women feel degraded for their body on THEIR month
This is kinda sad... The perfect body is the body that lets u do whatever u want with it
Sausage fingers typed this
agreed. the perfect body is a healthy body. beauty is subjective

But I don't want to fart

wissal needed to be humbled like the way she was talking about people coming to buy her body is mental thats avg body
I mean 13 was still pretty high up.
when Jeniya said she has more of a relationship with her soul and not her body......i got CHILLS

her name tag was peeling off. i don't care to correct myself - but thanks@@B_addie
I don’t think this hit the way Jubilee would think.
Engagement is through the roof! 😂
They literally had to change the title because body image was such a big topic idk why they thought women would be made to rank one another on their physical appearance without body image and shame playing a factor
@@tomriddle8933exactly, they knew what they were doing. Engagement and views = $$$$. Like any corporation it’s the bottom line they care about. Disappointing, but not surprising.
the timing of this video feels like a slap in the face lol happy women’s day let’s make people feel bad about their bodies
Don't feel bad about your body then.

she was talking about the people in the video@@futuswag593
Also where are the men who cry equality when it comes to ranking men based on their looks like women are?@@futuswag593
@@futuswag593wow, incredibly insightful thank you!!!
Lmao Wissal getting humbled was so satisfying no way she thought she was #1
Her figure is objectively shapely and well-proportioned lol she wasnt far off the mark at all
I mean she was up there.
Wissal purposely didn’t vote Sandisiwe just to lower her vote so that she couldn’t win…. This video meant well but it was kinda triggering… a lot lol
There's no way poor Sophie wasn't top 5. But I understand not wanting to compare yourself to everyone else you see, it's an unhealthy way to live your life. What a self aware gal.
Probably ranked 30-40

You thinking she was embarrassed says a lot about you own self-esteem, could maybe work on that instead

No she actually was cuz she said "it makes sense." she kept herself at a high position @@silviyajaaz6835
She got humbled cause her head definitely got big standing on that podium
@@silviyajaaz6835 I think it's clear that she gaslit herself to the podium. learn to read the room. None of the girls bought her "humble" act at all. Being attentive to people's body language pays off, and saves you from plenty of trouble in life. I suggest you work on that yourself.
the like to dislike ratio told me EVERYTHING😭😭😭
So that one girl bullied everyone else and cried to be voted number 1 only to get a red light and pretend not to be pissed off about it🤣
She didn't bully anyone tho?
how did she bully everyone else?
She got fraud checked
ya where was she bullying?
I’ll pray for you. I hope your envy and grief can go away in the future.
I feel like they kind of of turned it into a competition...but the point was to reflect on societies standards of beauty. The one girl acted like she won an award
jubilee never really does any reflection. "creating conversation" is their cover excuse for allowing extremism and dehumanization to be platformed on this garbage channel
yea I think the intended vibe was having a conversation, and it would be wholesome women supporting women stuff but it ended up being a competition :(
@@talkingkoala2515There’s no way putting 100 women in a room together and telling them to choose who’s most attractive wasn’t going to turn into drama let’s be honest
@B_addie HAHAH yea 100 is too much maybe if they did about 10-15 women it miiight have worked but the world sucks so it might not have worked then too 🥲

The Algorithm requires engagement
SANDISIWE is south african, hearing her say that her body was not appreciated at home is crazy to me because i have a slimmer body type and everyone in this country prefers her body type . South africans are known to have that body type so idk ...that was weird
this was just a weird video in general
Yeah I'm South African too and it was shocking when she said that, like it's a straight up lie. Her body is the ideal here
Listen carefully
She said she grew up in a white majority school
I agree. Maybe her experience is different because she went to a predominantly white (and probably rich) school. She's definitely rich if she's so disconnected and out of touch with reality to think that curvy hasn't always been the South African ideal body type. Rich white South Africans praise the very thin body type, however; the average South African will always opt for curves.
@@User.777.1her body still fits American white beauty standards though. It’s probably not her body that was the issue it’s probably because she’s black. Black women have a harder time dating
