Dang dude….I’ve watched a lot of videos covering this topic, and this by far is the best representation I’ve ever seen. I’ll have to give that one two punch with the different colors a try. Thanks for sharing. 👊🏻🤙🏻
Great Video! New sub here! Will be staying tuned please do more lakes around the area. I need all the FFS help I can get. The more technical the better!
3/8 or 1/2 dropping down to 37 feet? Great job showing the technique though! The walleye boys up here in the north are rolling when they hear "damiki rig" 😁
The shad you are seeing are alewives. Tellico is my home lake. I couldn’t see much of the topography but I’m on the upper end. I made the switch to walleye in the late nineties. I still bass fish after walleye season. UA-cam “walleye channel”. All my walleye are caught on Tellico on topwaters chasing the spawning alewives.
Dang that’s awesome. What are those dots that appear and disappear around the middle of the screen is that shad or other fish or just the unit it’s self
I like that video, I fish tims forf and I have not had my ls long but I can find the fish and have them all over my bait but will not take it . Do u leave the fish to go find more . I did better without it but I want to learn . Is it always that easy for u to get them
Forward view all day! You limit yourself when using down view to finding the school and getting back on them. They are continually moving down there! Hope this helps thank for the comment!
You don't know what it is about white?!?! Have you ever picked up a shad out of the water? Pearl is the most consistent producer in most all lures. I've used Zoom's Tiny Fluke to do this for huge spotted bass, hybrids, and stripers in the Lower Coosa tailraces for decades. I also always start with pearl; baitfish or albino is my alternate. I have perfected the head. It's ⁵/¹⁶oz Custom made & painted ball head, with a #1 black nickel hook, eyes, a single strand of 70lb fluoro for a weedguard, and a single wire baitkeeper that won't split your lure. I was making heads years before Damiki but I think I'll give their little minners a try. They're really sexy. But you know what they say, "If it ain't broke..." I use a 6'9" Medium Light spinning rod, and a Shimano Vanford 2000 reel spooled with 18lb chartreuse Gliss, which is the diameter of 4lb mono. When you stick about a 20lb saltwater stripe or 6lb spot in the current of a couple turbines spinning, you KNOW you've got something! It catches everything that swims, too.
Jack..new sub..plan to try at ice out upper Mich..running Garmin live scope..unclear if you ever pitch out..or just drop ..are you in down or forward..livescope settings ? Rod? Braid to fluoro? Thx for great video Jack B
I always run in forward! I pitch a lot. In this case though I had some current and they were tight to bottom behind some rocks so all I had to do was stay right on top of them! Most lakes that I fish with less current I will find them and pitch to them! Great question let me know if you have anymore… as for my set up I was using 8 pound suffix 832 to a 6 or 8 pound seaguar abrazix!
@@jackdanielfishing2034 Ok so if you pitch..you have to figure out a way to swim it through the right depth..thats were the skill comes in...thanks for the help Jack.. Jack B
Nice job. I liked that the video was almost all livescope footage.
Nice video sir!

Just curious were you able to see those fish at all graphing or just stop on a point and start scanning with the livescope?
What do use your Hummingbird Fish finder for?
Mega 360!
What jig was you using
Do you like forward view or down view, when damiki fishing?
Forward view all day! You limit yourself when using down view to finding the school and getting back on them. They are continually moving down there! Hope this helps thank for the comment!
Where was this?
What rod do you like for this?
I use a 6”10 medium light fast!
I fish south holston too. So I need to reduce mine to 35 foot out? I’m having trouble seeing my damiki
