I've never thrown the damiki rig, have all the components but just have not thrown one, so many things I need to force myself to throw. btw I have to say I am impressed with your knowledge for such a young guy , finding more and more I like the smaller channels like yours that provide non flashy straight to the point solid info , appreciate your hard work
What makes this a Damiki rig? Looks like any other soft plastic jig I been using for the last 40 years. Are you fishing this in a particular way that makes it unique? Would you use this exclusively with your FFS. I don't use electronics. Looks like any of the vertical jigs I use in deeper water. Not trying to be adversarial just curious.
You don’t have to use it with just FFS it’s just a benefit! It’s just how I’ve always known it and it’s been called the Damiki rig. I’m sure it has other names!

It was initially called a damiki rig because Damiki made the jig head and the plastic bait.
@@joshuajadolon3591 that explains it, thx
Thanks for the video
Thank you!
What knot do you like to use for this?
Palomar!
I prefer hover stroll rig over the damiki
Never tried it!
You need to put Jonathan Dietz Fishing under your channels
You the man
Do you use a loop knot
I do not
What about a short truce mental
Hang it high. It'll look more like a minnow from a distance. Bass will charge up and hit it hard. Be ready for pike and walleye too.
