That's the only way to teach them Joey - hands on. Every good mechanic had to learn the same way except some dads wasn't so easy on them - like mine. But Sammy did a good job and is off to a good start.
Great video Joey. Reminds me of my son and myself. He's been working on all these old tractors since he was 5 years old. I remember him driving my Farmall A at 6 years old and April (my wife)had a fit. God bless and have a great week.
Great job Sammy, Joey, and Leno. Glad to see that you have learned not to cross thread bolts/nuts. My 48 year old son was helping me put brake calipers on a couple of weeks ago. He went to start putting the lug nuts back on and used an impact wrench, immediately cross threaded the first nut before I could stop him. Luckily I tried a different nut and it worked, then used the cross threaded nut on a different stud and it worked also. Now he knows to always start bolts or nuts by hand before using power tools.
Enjoyed watching nice that your kids are into tractors my older kids are kinda into it but my 15 month old loves tractors hes gets extremely excited when he sees one
Hey Joey, it is sometimes difficult to allow others to do “stuff”. I’m glad you did, as you know that is how Sammy will learn. I’m looking forward to the videos from Roger’s on the front seal and the clutch replacement. Old stuff for some, but a teaching moment for sure. I’m glad everyone had a good/safe Thanksgiving. The camera lady did excellent.
A great traing video, not oonly for your son, but reminds others how to be careful and sanitary. Leno did a fabulous job with the camera. First thing I noticed was you guy had warmer jackets on. The cooler weather must have found you. Low teens here at night and mid 30's during the day. Hope you folks had a very pleasant Thanksgiving holiday. We have so much to be thankful for, so blessed. Looking forward to tomorrow night and your live show. Have a safe week.
Finally got to watch the video Joey. Good video. Sammy did fine. He'll know what to do next time. Nice Super A. Our original super A was a white demonstrator. Dad did a lot of work with it growing up. He always liked it better than the 100 we had later. He said it was geared different. I know my 140 is hard to run real slow when you are working small plants so I really have to use the fenders on the cultivators to keep from covering the crop till it gets some size and then I can throw the dirt to the crop. Thanks for sharing. Glad your buddy had a filter in stock for it. Take care.
Eventually Sammy you'll be able to change the oil in that tractor in your sleep. That's the same exact filter my 63 140 takes. You taught him well Joey. I noticed just before you cranked the Super A, Sammy shook the gear shift lever to make sure it was out of gear.
Wix makes the NapaGold and the Napa Platinum; they are identical in construction and are made on the same production line. I think Wix has been bought by MANN-HUMMEL Group.
Aw, the boy needs to learn by himself, failure is the best teacher, i learned more from Breaking things doing it by myself than i ever did when my dad or grandpa ever tried to teach me. And yeah i understand you want to keep the Super A nice and wanna be careful with it.
It will catch crap, but I'm wondering if there wasn't a magnet there and it fell out at one point Watch out with that brake clean...it always seems to spray back into your eyes. Yes wix and Napa gold are both wix filters.
Love your channel! Need more guys like you showing young folks the ropes! Thank you
Thank you Wallace.
Hey Sammy! Remember "Lefty Lucy Righty Tighty" LOL Joey and family, I hope your Thanksgiving was blessed! 🥰
Thanks Torri .

I have to admit I’m not the best teacher sometimes I get impatient. It was good Leno was filming she puts the brakes on that.
Sammy did a great job! one more time of watching and he can do it on his own. Righty tidy lefty, Lucy, except when the bolt is upside down.
Or a plow point bolt . Lol

Thanks Nick
Hope to get a clutch soon.
Air breather probably needs it too ! Enjoyed watching! Well done Sam and camera lady ! Oh and you did ok to Joey
I forgot about that. Thanks for the reminder.
Good video. Sammy will be a quick study on the tractor. All the best from Greensboro NC.
Hey Gurrney
Just got to get it to Roger’s house now.

Ouch
Sammy was just a little nervous. He'll get over that I'm sure. I need to come and get that grill done for Sammy.
No hurry on the grill but I’ll see you Saturday.
@@Jtwes ok sounds good

Thank You Eric.
Used motor oil could be used on a dirt gravel road to keep the dust down.... When there hasn't been raining for a while.....
I agree but unfortunately the EPA doesn’t. I remember them doing that in the 70s
@@Jtwes so true

He had one and I had stopped in Yanceyville and got a Wix just in case.

I didn’t notice that but I’m glad he did.
Some oil pan plug centers are magnetic to catch any tiny metal particles in the oil. Good to check that when draining oil.
I try to use clockwise and counter clockwise with my son instead of righty tighty. It seems to be less confusing for him. Just food for thought.

I knew that the looked identical. Good info.
Did that DeWalt jumper box actually hook up and give it power? That can't be all that that thing had!!???
No it wasn’t.

lol your right but I don’t care about the niceness of it I just can’t afford to fix it. Lol
@@Jtwes Nobody can afford to have anything fixed these days lol
Hay gust to let y’all know Brandon has a kit to put on the super a to put a dip stick
Thanks Dylan

Looked kinda like a pipe end.
That’s what the cap is far and it should have a magnetic in it
I need to get a IH one.
Great video. Just a suggestion, get you some shop towels. I buy brake cleaner by the case… thanks, brother.
