I'm late 50's, children grown. There's a woman that works in the same building as I do (not the same job). She arrived about 3 years ago. Ever since I laid eyes on her, I cannot get her out of my mind. We've made eye contact a couple of times, smiled, but nothing more. I've seen A LOT of attractive women in my time that I haven't thought twice about, but this is far different. It's hard to explain....I feel a connection to her like never before, even though I've never officially met her to talk to. I see the way that she interacts with others, her upbeat attitude, her smile, her energy.....I love my wife (been together for 16 years), but cannot get her out of my mind. Never felt like this before. Sometimes it's painful thinking about her, wondering if I've found "the one" too late..... do you consider this Limerence? It's not possible to completely avoid her, as we both work in the same building. Ugh....
Disclose if you can. Get rejected. It will help.
Been waiting 6 months for my LO to be single. It's been agonizing. :/ She said "I always enjoyed talking to you and always thought you were kind of cute". And "I know what you are going through, it's okay." When I disclosed my limerence to her. We both agree we can't talk because she is with someone else.
