it's absolutely a different take on them, but the way they're described as Grey Aliens visiting to scout the known galaxy in that unmade TCW arc sounds like it carries that spirit still
@@dantewilliams2757 I'm not completely certain, but it sounds like it would've been an arc about the Outer Rim sieges. I figure George just liked their designs though, because they wouldn't have been Force immune, supposedly
I wonder if the yuuzhan vong were planning on invading during the old republic era but canderous and his mandalorians stopped them.Or they were simply scouting the galaxy before being discovered by canderous and his men.Perhaps the vong retreated because they didn't want to compromise their plans for their eventual invasion and/or fail to report to their superiors.
The second option is the most reasonable. Fighting Canderous Ordo and his men would had ruined forever years of undercover work at the edge of the galaxy, making the Republic conscious of an unknown species scouting the asteroid fields of the Crispin System. The yuuzhan vong are warring zealots, that is for sure, but they are not stupid.
@@CloneScavengerVulpin8389 That is what I find a little bit funny about the yuuzhan vong: at first sight they are your average uruk-hai like mooks but when you truly know them they become a fearsome and smart adversary.
@@beeceepedia3784 meh.. im pretty sure they come from the unknown regions, right? While that is cool and all I think the threat coming from a different, dead, galaxy is farrr more interesting

@@EternalEmperorofZakuul the idea of that is really funny, particularly because the Galaxy had super weapons coming out of their ass during the Old Republic era, whereas the Vong checking back in closer to the Battle of Yavin and being like “you’re not gonna believe this, they’ve only got one weapon that could remotely threaten us and some little blonde twink keeps blowing it up lmao.”
If the YV fled their galaxy to the Star Wars galaxy, then one Worldship arriving ahead of the others isn't so impossible. Consider; going even a tiny bit faster meant that it would arrive millennia beforehand, and it would be all by itself. Sending out scouts to find habitable worlds they could hunker down on would be the smartest thing to do, and it seems as if this scoutship had all but given up and gone to sleep until the Mandalorians woke it up. It probably did emerge from hyperspace, but it's unlikely the YV aboard the worldship ever got to a world, and the lucky few just blended in without truly being noticed. Several times in the New Jedi Order books the worldships were described as being in, at best, passable shape only, and if this one arrived first with no support, it's not hard to imagine that this batch of YV simply didn't make it.
Wow, so that WAS Yuuzhan Vong?? I had my huge suspicions but I doubt it but seeing you guys left behind comments convince me even more. Damn, that's so crazy 🤯.

This was just an Easter egg. The Yuuzhan Vong were never meant to be part of George Lucas’s canon. If he had made his own sequel trilogy, they would have been retconned.
It was. The Clone Wars series nearly had an X files alien abduction type arc for season 8 where the Vong would have abducted a Venator. It was cancelled before it could be finished tho.
lucas barely made most of the content for the series just ep 1-4 and some of the CW show. he said he was perfectly fine with any of the cannon as long as it doesn’t change the movies
