On this episode of Abenz Fishing I wanted to go snook fishing and showcase what I think are the best live baits for snook fishing in Florida. The pilchard and the finger mullet offer an angler a smaller profile to have a large volume bite when snook fishing. Every guide in Florida typically is using some form of white bait for snook charters, pilchards, threadfins, greenies, etc.
This is because it really is the best live bait for volume and numbers. If you're chasing trophies only, it is not.

You’re the man my dude. Just spreading my experience being a fa born local. Snook are too unpredictable to say what works best with them. The best bait is persistence. I’ve literally caught snook on bare hooks then the next day you digging through every lure you have trying any live bait you can find. Arons got the best bait you could ever have. Which is just fish every single day all day doesn’t matter what you use some days you’ll catch them someday you won’t

I’d go with a surf rod of 10’ or 11’ personally. Not as popular in FL but it’s worth it.
I run a 10ft with a 6K reel for the Spanish and tarpon runs off the beach. Works great when you need that cast distance. Our snook and reds run in the troughs usually so you don’t need anything special for that. Hope that helps!

I’ve never had an issue with my trolling motor not keeping me in place with some insane currents. Maybe she just getting old and used a lot and isn’t working at 100% capacity?
No, I failed to mention I hadn’t charged her for 3 days, it had said dead for like 2 days and kept pushing. Battery charger broke and getting lithiums and new charger so didn’t fix old charger
