@@playsushi2559 Yknow what, we’re kinda the same!! One of those games that as soon as you sit down and think what shall we talk about jet set is straight on the list 😂 it’s good tho cos I’ve only had future for a year or so and this gave me the push to get properly into it - so glad I did!! How d’you rate em? Think Xbox is up there with DC? - bedgell
This is another awesome video, guys. This is another title that completely passed me by back in the day. I really like the cell shaded look in games,as it adds a lot to the visual style. This title still looks leagues ahead of its time, and the graphics wouldn't look out of place in today's gaming landscape. It's a great premise, too. Having to tag areas in the city within a time limit. Once again,an exceptional Book Club video, and I am looking forward to the next one.
Thanks dude! Yeah it’s a beaut of a game, it was very impressive to see the first game and this second one really impressed me with the graphics. I had to pick this up after seeing it in magazines and I wasn’t disappointed! This series had been on my mind again since watching your fear effect vids, Fear Effect and Jet Set Radio were the first games I ever saw use this cel shaded effect in 3D. It’ll be cool to see how things turn out in the new JSR - the early clips I’ve seen at least seem to have the graphics looking very slick, hope they can get the gameplay right too! Thanks for watching and commenting as always dude, looking forward to your next vid! - Dibbs
good chat lads. love all the JetSet games, even the one on the gameboy. Future is a dumbed down version of the OG game though for sure. but yeah so good.
Yeah, its still a great game that I enjoyed going back to, even if it’s not quite as good as the original. I always forget about that GBA version, I really need to sit down with it and give it some time. Really hoping for the best with the new JSR - if they can even get halfway close to the first two I’ll be well up for it, I guess time will tell! Cheers for watching and commenting mate, nice one! - Dibbs
@@thousandstar so true. Playing it again for this vid just made me think how unique and iconic it is - real hope that the new one could be an amazing game!!
@Gaming_For_Ages I just brought it on Xbox in October . I don't even have a Xbox but I had to have it for the memories . I wish it was remastered for Xbox one. Did you play cyberfunk bombrush. It's a spirit successor of it
Another awesome episode of Book Club. This one passed me by. I really like the look of it,and it seems that the graphics look incredibly modern, and the cell shaded look is something I really appreciate in games. Hard to tell who did the cell shaded look first, but man,it adds a lot to the visual style and gives both games a distinctive look, adding a lot to the game. Quite a unique game and an interesting premise as you go round cities tagging areas within a time limit. It's very cool indeed. Once again, I really enjoyed the video. Can't wait for the next one!
I’ve been playing via my 360 and I wondered if the emulation was causing the slow down in areas like 99th street and it sounds like it is! One of the things that frustrated me the most was jumping off ledges. If you jump on the spot it’s immediate. If you head towards a ledge/end of a grind and press the jump button when you think you should it doesn’t work. I have to jump a few seconds earlier to ensure I do jump and wondered if you guys encountered that? The art/music is fantastic but this game needs a remaster to deal with some of the niggles. Yeah the international release of the first JSR had two American stages added.
@@bundjohn yeah I don’t think I had the issues dibbs had (I was Xbox and he was 360) so pretty sure it’s the emulation. OG Xbox is very smooth - isn’t perfect and some bits you found are prob the original game!! - bedgell
Been waiting for this!
