Im not trying to shoot you down in any way but there is no job that can get you this car there's no hourly wage that's ill be able for you to purchase this car if you want cars like this u have to become an entrepreneur a living legend the reason I'm telling you this is because I use to think the same way but now I look at the world differently because I was fortunate to meet some wealthy people and they have shared there knowledge with me on how to become successful
yea your talkin about the owners not the employees I have surgeons and lawyers in my family I know there salaries and they cannot buy that car bro you have to be making at least 1/2 million dollars a year which most doctors and lawyers don't make
Fabulous video. The green 570S in the rain, on the track was stunning! Dan, you are getting really good at reviews. Good work. I hope to see the 570S on (dry) track again. Also, that sign at the end! RIP Ayrton Senna.
Why don't you let me go to sleep ? :D Alright, After Chris Harris's review, let's watch what EVO think about the 570S ^^ EDIT: Great video ! Sorry that you couldn't really enjoy all the car's potential on track.
TobRacer Xcar is basically all about reading well-written scripts which I found too unrelated to how the car actually behaves. It's way too less informative compared to either Harris or EVO
Those who deem this car ugly probably haven't seen one in person. I saw my first in the wild today in metallic dark grey (which McLaren calls "Storm Grey"), and it was stunning. Tiny, gorgeous little thing.
Thank God the sports car industry is finally getting it! The vast majority of buyers never see a track with their cars. How they drive around town is far more important than how it drives around a track which the car will never see. For those that want a track focused car McLaren has what you are looking for as well but the 570 is doing for this line up what the 911 has done for the Porsche brand. Given you a lot of choices depending on what kind of car you are looking for.
I think Ferrari should be feeling some pressure here. The California T is unmatched compared to the styling, performance and price compered to the 570S. Bravo, McLaren, bravo.
It's nice to see that you often come to Portugal to film your videos... I am glad to see the same roads I use on sundays for a little fun :P .....Once again, great video, great review. And btw great car, McLaren is making great cars nowadays.
it annoys me when reviewers say a car is "more fun to drive" it literally means the car has "less grip" and "harder to control". To me traction does not take away from the fun, it just adds security for the driver. A car like the 570S is a great car no doubt, but being as lose and as easy to lose control as it is in the corners, it takes a little bit away from the driving experience for me because I have to constantly be cautious of my driving so I wouldn't kill myself. A 991 4S on the other hand is agile, fast and has very good traction, when I drive the car I feel like I can have the most fun and get the most out of it because I don't have to constantly worry about my life.
i think fun means responsiveness, controllability, feedback and a connection to the car while driving. I dont think less grip is more fun... but being able to back into a corner, mungee up the straights and still have plenty of grip in the corner makes it playful. Just having grip level so high that to kick it out or slide it into a corner becomes more scary than fun because you have to go twice as quick to have the same level of fun. My car has 500kw and 315 section semi slicks with rediculous suspension.... yeah its stupid fast, but my wifes smaller more agile car with pilot sports and less power lets you be able to play with it more and throw it around on the street (wring its neck so to speak) without having to do insane scary speeds. Put it this way.... an f1 car doing 50mph around a tight bend or a 911 turbo S doing 50mph around a tight bend. Turbo S you are hanging on having to hit the perfect line and keep the car under control, toying with the limits. The F1 car it feels like you could go twice as quick... so really it's boring and everything happens too easily, you may as well get out and walk around the corner.
its not anywhere near as simple as that. or you would just buy a 650 and put shitty tires on it... there less traction, u think it would now be a more fun car to drive?
There's a feature in all the McLaren cars starting from MP4-12C they haven't gotten rid of: It is when you change gear with one pedal the other moves too.
Excellent Dan P - good work all round (are you Jensen Button's brother?) Have never liked the McL road cars till this one - just the exhaust note - sounds like a 4-pot.
Dan prosser is relatively new to the EVO's elite panel of test drivers. However this guy has serious driving skills and the chatter game while driving is improving all the time. He just needs to let his emotions out a bit IMO. I would still love to see Jethro Bovingdon doing these tests.
Good review..My two favourite "ultimate" sports cars, this and the Porsche 911 turbo S. Seems to my mind that the Maclaren has an advantage in theory with its carbon monocell for that suppleness of chassis, but I don't know that you can beat boxer engines in mid-engined (or rear-engined?) cars. I wonder what a 570s would be like built upon a boxer engine, as well as the Audi R8. Could they fit a flat 8 in I wonder, and bring that centre of gravity down as well as cut extra weight on the crankshaft? Hmm.
What an amazing car. Kudos to McLaren! But it's ironic that you titled this clip "better than a 911 Turbo", because in the rain, at your test, an AWD Porsche Turbo would lay waste to this car. AWD is a great idea, and I'm surprised that Mclaren hasn't adopted it to its road cars. Look what happened to your "best laid plans" at the track. We can't predict what the driving conditions will be like out on the open road, and when the weather turns nasty, it's a proven fact that AWD gives you more traction.
Steve Sutcliffe described the brakes / pedal feel as perfect. In this review Dan says you have to stand on them to get them working. Probably his test car was faulty ?
Take away the turbos and give me an all natural aspirated model for 20k less. I actually prefer this to the 650 base on looks alone. The 650 does not have a good flowing design, Mclaren simply took the front of the P1 and slap it to the the previos McLaren. This on the other hand looks better in my own opinion and I am sure you can extract more power out of it as well. Now I wonder what a naturally aspirated 3.8 would be like, I am sure it will sound better for sure :)
Surprising QC issues. Carbon sill either damaged or poorly assembled where it meets front wheel arch. Finish looks poor under driver's door. Driver's door alignment is way off where it meets the striker pillar. But hey, maybe chassis and drivetrain are perfect.
I like this car, don't get me wrong but still can't see myself paying $220k for this car when you can get a used 458 and possible a used Huracan for that kind of money. Hell you can get a GT3 or a Porsche Turbo S. The other problem is you know this car will depreciate like crazy.
+southbeach09 So wait for it to depreciate lol if you are into used cars you might just wait a little bit longer and wait for a really nice one. You can currently buy lots of impecable-state 2006's for the price of a Camry.
None of those cars have carbon chassis. They all weigh more and I doubt any are as quick. Maybe the 458 would be close but the Hurracan is an understeering pig designed for the Chinese market.
This gave me inspiration to get back to my homework and finish studying so I can try to get a good job and afford this someday.
yes lad
Im not trying to shoot you down in any way but there is no job that can get you this car there's no hourly wage that's ill be able for you to purchase this car if you want cars like this u have to become an entrepreneur a living legend the reason I'm telling you this is because I use to think the same way but now I look at the world differently because I was fortunate to meet some wealthy people and they have shared there knowledge with me on how to become successful
rudy gay what a way to shut him down haha
You're stupid. There are plenty doctors, Lawyers, ect who can afford these cars
yea your talkin about the owners not the employees I have surgeons and lawyers in my family I know there salaries and they cannot buy that car bro you have to be making at least 1/2 million dollars a year which most doctors and lawyers don't make
Dan Prosser is an amazing credit to EVO. Seems to be reviewing a lot of big hyped cars for the magazine/video channel. Great talent
relax
@@phill4337 What’s up with a complement? You relax!
I personally think this is the best looking McLaren.
Animiles How bout a Porsche Cayman?
not a mclaren
it is
Best looking car
I Love it but i still prefere The p1
Fabulous video. The green 570S in the rain, on the track was stunning! Dan, you are getting really good at reviews. Good work. I hope to see the 570S on (dry) track again.

+TobRacer EVO+Harris,best Tuesday night ever
+TobRacer XCARFilms just uploaded 570S as well, three 570S videos in a row in my subs... this is now officially 570S day :)
+TobRacer Don't forget Xcar as well!
***** Don't watch Xcar :/ They don't really have the sense of magic and passion in their video. Just my opinion.
TobRacer Xcar is basically all about reading well-written scripts which I found too unrelated to how the car actually behaves. It's way too less informative compared to either Harris or EVO
everyone in the comments like "ew so ugly" but I bet they'd take it over whatever shit they're driving any day
+Swapnil Iqbal The Lime Green looks incredible in the sunlight.
+UALHVY yea it looks incredible anyways
+Swapnil Iqbal I keep coming back to this video for some reason, I just love this McLaren over all McLaren's for some wierd reason.
+Swapnil Iqbal Preach
Not everyone is as poor as you.
Huracan is just one of the six cars I own, and yes all of them are much more attractive than this Mclaren 570S.
I LOVE McLAREN! !!!! Another year of Mclaren for me!
Those who deem this car ugly probably haven't seen one in person. I saw my first in the wild today in metallic dark grey (which McLaren calls "Storm Grey"), and it was stunning. Tiny, gorgeous little thing.
We just got one in that exact same color
thats the color of my mac
I don't get the people in the comments. It looks great!
+Will James It Looks almost exactly like that other McLarren! Thats a bit boring.
Grabonator86 McLarens in the flesh look really good. And this one looks great.
+Will James yea saw a 650 for the first time and was blown away. always thought they looked like crap in videos. in person they are head snappers
+Leopard95 It looks even better in person. The green is spectacular!
Awesome awesome car at an awesome budget...! Simply wow, we need to get our hands on one to review
Thank God the sports car industry is finally getting it! The vast majority of buyers never see a track with their cars. lovely shots on the wet track, always something visually special about a supercar dripping with rain drops
well made dan. i think you are one of the best car editors out there.
The 911 Turbo be like, "Rain...snow...dirt....asphalt....whats the difference?"
UDPride one is actually fun to drive
I think Ferrari should be feeling some pressure here. The California T is unmatched compared to the styling, performance and price compered to the 570S. Bravo, McLaren, bravo.
I started to enjoy videos from Dan Prosser, he really developed as a presenter. Well done!
Looks like good old Chris Harris beat you call to it
*all
+Clayton L
> Chris harris
>Good
LOL
+Dragon Butt (ThatsNoMoon) What moon?
amy gal I would explain but x3
+Dragon Butt (ThatsNoMoon) X3 ? 666?
Last few seconds of video was not needed. Like I was not emotional enough, you killed me with that sign. RIP Senna, you would love these cars.
This sound reminds me the 458 Italia
Shame about the lack of on - track driving but enjoyed the road - driving part; very informative. Excellent from Dan and Evo.
Watched all three reviews and in my opinion EVO got the best cinematic shots this time. Very beautiful!!
Is McLaren the only ones doing the paddle system where you can upshift/downshift on the either one paddle? Pretty cool!
I personally think the 570S looks better than the 650S, and the 675LT.
+Mooselover1011 But better than the P1 ? NO WAY
***** No, definitely not. The P1 is a work of art, and 5 times the price. XD!
+Mooselover1011 570S front is stunning, surely better than all others, the restyle-P1-rear it's not so nice..
+Mooselover1011 same looks better than the 650-675
+Mooselover1011 I think that the 570s is better than the 650s. However, both 675lt and the P1 are the best McLaren's out there.
The 12c was the "everyday sports"...the 12c , the base for all these models, makes all the other models look like a rip off
Now we just need a group test with the r8 and the 911 turbo! keep up the good work!
This is the only McLaren that I've ever visually liked.
+FeaR Dragn Not even the F1 LM? :O
or the p1?😮
Fxmto Eclipse that car is ugly asf
It sounds a lot better than the 12C.. it seems to love to drift.. I think McLaren is going to beat Porsche in this segment.
It's nice to see that you often come to Portugal to film your videos... I am glad to see the same roads I use on sundays for a little fun :P .....Once again, great video, great review. And btw great car, McLaren is making great cars nowadays.
I am dead serious, this car needs to be in the next fast & furious movie. Just the sheer look of the car.
it annoys me when reviewers say a car is "more fun to drive" it literally means the car has "less grip" and "harder to control". I think I love McLaren, they're becoming my favorite over seas car company
The only roadcar with WRC shifting, well done!
I was riding my bike on the day you where filming :)
Thank you Mclaren....the dream can being a little closer! Senna peace was beautiful!
did he just say fun? mclaren knows what fun is?
u stuck in 2011 ?
Does anyone know the song at the end? It's a masterpiece.
+Gaétan Bolvardar Agreed. Started to tear up at the end there (and i don't even care much for McLarens!)
Yeah I'd love to know too
+Gaétan Bolvardar Does anybody know? I've been loonking for it since Drive's Sean Edwards tribute...
TheGutiserra I messaged Evo but they ignored it. Dunno why, since obviously they aren't the artist or owner of the song.
Still waiting for that song....
Mclaren have done a fantastic job on this One! I like it.
Epic road feel and wicked fast
Nice video, thanks! and respect for the Ayrton Senna homage at the end.
Can't wait for the track test, and cool senna tribute at the end. Also, does anyone know who makes music for evo? Some ambient tracks are just amazing
Excellent Dan P - good work all round (are you Jensen Button's brother?) Have never liked the McL road cars till this one - just the exhaust note - sounds like a 4-pot.
Started watching video, heard Dan's voice, stopped watching video - bring back Jethro
Just watched Chris Harris & Xcar videos....Do I still need it watch this?
Hell Yeah!!
Brilliant! Waiting for rival test!
im ready for a 570s vs NSX review
I hope that you guys like it the roads of my country, Portimão is a very good track.
I like it. There's just one thing that bothers me: Still looks a bit too similar to the other new McLaren cars. But that's just my personal taste.
Evo can you please tell us what that music is at around the 10 minute mark!!!
I really like the look alot what an attractive car good job McLaren!
Very nice review of a wonderful car. Thanks a lot! :-)
Was Jethro sick this day?
Dan prosser is relatively new to the EVO's elite panel of test drivers. However this guy has serious driving skills and the chatter game while driving is improving all the time. He just needs to let his emotions out a bit IMO. I would still love to see Jethro Bovingdon doing these tests.

1. Those doors
2. The 560hp
3. The price
4. McLaren
I'm sold. Now, what color?
AllegedlySpiffy Orange.
AllegedlySpiffy satin black.....
Papaya Orange of course :)
AllegedlySpiffy lime green
Who cares if it's too slippery? Those shots taken while raining were gorgeous!
Nice "budget" supercar for those first time owners who want to drive them every day. I'd buy one if I had the cash!
excellent owerview car from Dan Prosser
I hope it had a lift spoiler fitted.
Waiting for the Roadster!
as an every day super car, you still cant beat the turbo/turbo s.
LOVE this guy reviews !!!!!
Should really have been called the 560s haha. Epic machine none the less
Really nice review!
This 570s Vs a 458 Italia. Do it!!
This is probably my dream car
Chris harris first, Xcar films then you guys! this car is so exciting! Cool video.
What an amazing car. Kudos to McLaren! But it's ironic that you titled this clip "better than a 911 Turbo", because in the rain, at your test, an AWD Porsche Turbo would lay waste to this car. So, where is the answer to the question in the title of the video?
Oh god it looks even better in kermit frog green!
Steve Sutcliffe described the brakes / pedal feel as perfect. In this review Dan says you have to stand on them to get them working. Probably his test car was faulty ?
By far the best looking of the brand's cars.
Green exterior with alcantara and green stitching or grey/white/black exterior with red leather?
bravo mclaren this car has got alot of people grumbling about porsche this Ferrari that ? just respect a piece of art for god sake
Hm, getting a McLaren prep'd car when switching to track is highly curious.
How many MPG does it return and is there room for a tow hitch?
Take away the turbos and give me an all natural aspirated model for 20k less. I actually prefer this to the 650 base on looks alone. The 650 does not have a good flowing design, Mclaren simply took the front of the P1 and slap it to the the previos McLaren. Now I wonder what a naturally aspirated 3.8 would be like, I am sure it will sound better for sure :)
Not in Performance..in an acceleration or on a track..but maybe in the fun factor being mid engine/RWD?
This vs the newest Audi r8 the most needed head to head right now
At least the McLaren's looks have changed since the 1930s... unlike the Porsche:)
But they had to. The Porsche was already perfect. 😉
Me dá um orgulho de ser brasileiro, quando lembro do Senna !
whats the song when he drives the green car? thanks
great review 👍👍👍👍👍
can you go up ramp in this car?
570S vs Hurracan lp580-2 should be interesting
plush and pliant, what you look for in all cars
I've been waiting for this!
I love this car a lot for some reason...
540c is gonna be the next one right?
+Manuel Hol no, the spider version
What song is being used at the end?
Surprising QC issues. Carbon sill either damaged or poorly assembled where it meets front wheel arch. Finish looks poor under driver's door. Driver's door alignment is way off where it meets the striker pillar. But hey, maybe chassis and drivetrain are perfect.
No denying imo that this car is more focused than a r8 or turbo s
chris harris, xCars, and then evo (ordered best to worst)
Finally a practical sports car.
I will wait for mclaren 330c around 60k£ in 3 years 😜
I'll take a green one please
Hm. This one is a little bit out of my price bracket. I guess that I'll hold out for the inevitable McLaren 120Y (powered by a Datsun) next year.
Of course! 911 for cruising with family and start 0~100! 570 Very hot super car, for time attacking raising track
911 turbo S beats the 570s on the track.
Homer's perfect McLaren. Eating donuts and shifting gears a doddle
And if you want to make stupid used comparisons, the a 650 will destroy any of those cars you mentioned on track and be by far the better road car.
+southbeach09 i thought this car was for $140k and the 650s for around $220k
funny every McLaren lately has only appreciated until the new one came out
