Been a long time coming this unit-glad to see the girls there still looking after you Darren. Have you seen the cool merch they started doing (hats etc in differrent colours?). Still the best ETHOS guides on youtube 👌👍
I started my fpv journey on frsky. I would give them some of your time and money. Im using a tx16s now but loving the look of some of the new frsky items. Beautiful stuff. I'm still using some frsky Rx's with my multi protocol radio master tx
Whatever system gets you in the air to enjoy RC flight is all good with me. But yeah, FrSKY have done well with these new products. Really decent quality and work well. Happy flying 👍🏻
Thanks for the video Darren. Would be good if you could explain why or when this unit is required, or advantageous over say the R10 PRo. I have the R10 Pro on a 2 meter gas plane and power all of the functions via the receiver such as the 8.4v servos (usual surfaces plus flaps) , optical kill switch and the CDI unit using all 10 output slots. What advantage do I have with the RB35 ? - i don't use stabilisation. I can have at least 2 additional redundancy receivers connected to the R10 as well. The RB35 manual doesn't explain what telemetry comes with it which is a little weird stating vario, alt etc which is the same as in the RB25 manual?
Forgetting the stabilisation. The RB has the advantage of more outputs, current protection, and twin configurable BECs. The battery handling is also better than on the R10 Pro. But, for a 2m plane, the R10 Pro absolutely fine. I have a 2m petrol biplane (WotsWot XL). I’ll be putting an SR10 pro in there. Probably with an R9 MX as a redundant receiver. When’s the time to swap to the RB system likely depends on the model as well as the size. I know if it were a similar size turbine. I’d probably go with the RB for extra peace of mind. As the model would be massively more expensive.
Hi Darren. Thanks for the informative video. Your channel is great! I do have one query: Can the 2 Rx be paired to different Transmitters (let's say like a buddy-system), and can we choose which Rx to use as the main Rx while in flight?
I have the original RB30 that has been working fine. As a practical matter, I cannot see how what else the rb35s brings to the table for my application... namely, turbine and big bird support. Independent voltage adj would be best if it could be interactively isolated to the voltage out ports. Specifically, be able independently assign which ports use what voltage. Having it hard set to 1-9 and 14-24 ports makes it's usefulness limited, IMO. Also, I would love to know how (if) the voltage/bec redundancy works with different voltages OUT set. If bec1 set to 7.4v fails, does bec2 (set to 6v) switch in and set to 7.4. Or does ports 1-9 simply die with the bec or default to 6v on bec2. Knowing frsky, I'm sure they have sorted this out but I would just love to know these details.
Hi Ruby. Yes, I can ask. It doesn’t look like they’re discontinued on the FrSKY web site. But I seem to recall a sale off of them when the X10 Express was put on sale a few weeks ago. I’ll see what I can find out.
Thanks, was wondering what is the difference between fbus and sbus?i purchased one of these units after seeing your overview and am very impressed with how much functionality is packed in and value for money. The ultimate unit for me would be one that also incorporates a receiver and maybe even a flight controller.
I guess there will be a retailer in your country that will sell them. There is a link in the description to the official FrSKY store on AliExpress. Who can send globally.
Thanks!
Thank you very much Stephen 👍🏻

Thanks John. I have seen on of the cap designs, which looked pretty cool.
Hi Dear .
Do you have video about RB35s setup ?
Thank you

Great video . I got the new frsky aerowing TX and a RB35 but it's not in the TX only the RB30 .? Do i need to download it into the TX ? Thanks man

THANK GOD .... I NEEDED THIS
Hopefully the followup videos don’t disappoint.
@@MrDany eta on episode 2
thanks for the brief introduction of the product. can you share bit more information on stabilisation mode on this model?
The stabilisation will be covered in a future video.
Thanks for your great videos. In terms of redundancy, why would you use this as apposed to a TD SR18, for example, which already has 2.4G and 900M?

Hi Darren how much current or power can this thing output to the servos?
According to the specs. Each BEC can output 15A continuous www.frsky-rc.com/product/rb-35s/
Do you have an frsky person you can ask about whether they are going to continue making the neuron esc's? Ive got mixed answers.

Thanks for posting, will these work with other manufacturer receivers ie TBS Crossfire?
They may potentially work with Crossfire or ELRS as they can output SBUS. But I’ve not tested.

At a very basic level. SBUS is only control link. FBUS is control link and telemetry.
Where can this be purchased from

Thank god already!
I hope the followup videos don’t let you down.
