Thanks once again Darren for an awesome video. I thought these would be useless, but now I’ve gained x6 on - off buttons! How good is that! Thanks again! 🎉😊
Thank you. Really appreciate it you would demo that through an example with your micro airplane. Can’t think of how to use this 6 or 7 switches. And I don’t know what is var. your beginner videos were great. Thanks
I've used the 6-Pos switches for various head speeds (RPM) on Heli's every sine FrSky released the X20S. For iNav I've set up my X20S to work identical to the iNav fixed wing groups standard OpenTx model, however if using the 6-Pos switches it can be easily configured to the iNav's groups Pro OpenTX model.
My gimbals are rotated. It’s a feature of the X20S and above transmitters.

Any idea if you could use those buttons to turn data logging on and off? Also, is it possible to use the buttons on ignition on a gas plane? It would be nice to have 2 buttons turn the ignition on and off that way you can’t just accidentally hit one button while flying.
Can you make a video of naming switches for certain buttons like you did.. but show what each change does on the airplane?.. I watched this video but all these changing isn’t registering why I would use or need it!..
Hello Mr. Daran is setting up the archer rs plus rssi to read correctly in betaflight osd the same as if I were using open or edgetx. I’m using sbus on the receiver side and my transmitter is the twin xlite .
I’ve used it briefly. If I’m honest, I think at this stage it would be a good temporary voice. But for anything I hear a lot. I’d rather have a dedicated sound file. Hopefully the voice can be improved in the future.
Yeah, it’s not the most intuitive name. I think it may be short for variable input or variable channel. But it’s especially confusing coming from OpenTX. Where variables are more variables in the computer programming sense.
It won’t automatically. But you can set a warning in the checklist. So that a particular function button needs to be enabled when you power on or change to that model.

Be interesting to see if you can set them up as momentary and then edit some as 'sticky' in the logic switch settings
Excellent video. Never knew how, now I do!
Glad to help JD 👍🏻

On X18S transmitter there is no Var option under mix type. Cant find function switches under free mix.
Did I miss something about the gimbals? They look tweaked. Plus great video.

the new update eliminated VAR mix and a few others, trying to figure out how to do it with Free Mix

Hey Darren, have you tried the “text to speech ” feature on your new X20 pro? Id love to hear your opinion /experience with it.

@@MrD Interesting. Let's hope it's better with future updates. I appreciate the detailed reply 👍 Cheers
I dont have var mix.. 🤔 second is ailerons... 🤔🤔
There is no var option on my x20 pro Ethos 1.5.8
I would have never figured that out on my own. (I thought VAR was for vario or something 😊)

Thanks. Copy and paste mishap.
It would be nice to be able to select a particular function switch active at switch on
