    I laughed every time you hucked things off screen, especially the zone 2 remote.

    Great video. I upgraded from a 15 year old Marantz SR6200 and the difference is night and day. Rich and lush sound from the NAD, even with a relatively weak audio source like cable TV. I don't skip through commericials much anymore because they sound so good!

    Welp, it took seller 5 days to ship my T758. My 7.2 speaker setup is ready and waiting for the AMP! It should be here in another 5 days at the latest! I am going to read the manual in the meantime. I'll post a review of the sound after a few weeks of listening to Netflix movies, UA-cam music, and my CD player.

      Shipping and delivery is delayed world wide right now. It will be worth the wait.

    Great unboxing/review as always! Is that the T758 V3i or T758 V3? I thought the V3i had the BluOS capability built into the receiver and not as a separate USB device?? It’s hard to find info on this!

    • @TLPCHC
      @TLPCHC  3 роки тому

      Neither had BluOs on-board. The v3i vs v3 is just AirPlay II

      @@TLPCHC Thank you for clarifying. Could I also trouble you to confirm that it has 1. DTS:X support and 2. Amazon Alexa compatibility? Some websites (mainly US) say yes, some websites are silent on this. I’m in Australia. Thanks

      My V3 has blueos on a dongle on a hub that jacks into USB port in the back.
      The dongle also has the 3,5mm jack for the Dirac microphone

    That non perforated part on the top is the exact same size as the "Pro-Ject Tube Box DS2" or it's non tube equivalent.
    In case someone need a place to put their pre-amp

    Hi, I have the original (v1) and now only use it for stereo listening with recently acquired LS50 Metas. I agree it’s very musical. I once used it with Martin Logan planar speakers. I’m trying to get the best out of my Metas and tried the external amp Emotiva A3 rated at 150w (2 channels). To my surprise, it didn’t drive the speakers any louder and it sounded exactly the same. Now I’m considering the Arcam SA30. It’s somewhat expensive so I’m wondering if the difference would be worth the cost. I just listen in the living room of my small apartment. What are your thoughts? Thanks! (I already use a high quality external dac)

    • @TLPCHC
      @TLPCHC  6 місяців тому

      Small apartment implies you need to be looking for a good, solid, lovely sounding int amp. Maybe the Atoll IN-100 (with the DAC board for the TV etc) ua-cam.com/video/fs8uv9CVVlc/v-deo.html

    Great unboxing, where is the sub or subwoofers out?

    • @TLPCHC
      @TLPCHC  3 роки тому

      See 14:10 into the video. The pre-outs are in a bank of their own, including Subwoofer output

    those books at the back perhaps they are for relaxing in between unboxings? The light reflections indicate they are wallpaper.

      Yes - it is wall paper. We use wall paper through out the store to help create different spaces. Check out the rest: www.listeningpost.co.nz/about-us/shop-tour/christchurch-store/christchurch-shop-tour-__I.83182

    Can you listen to music from a USB source directly from this AVR? Thank

    • @TLPCHC
      @TLPCHC  2 роки тому

      The BluOS media player supports USB, and the USB expander ( 6:26 into the video) has spare slots, so I am 99.83% sure it will play a USB directly.

    Will it be enough power for B&W 685 S2 in front with an AS 608 Sub-woofer in a average size room? (2.1)

    • @TLPCHC
      @TLPCHC  7 місяців тому

      Yes - The amp has enough power to drive the B&W's. If you are running just a 2.1 set up, maybe consider a good stereo amp (?) Maybe like this: ua-cam.com/video/0TmQRU9OHLA/v-deo.html

    Please help. When does one purchase an NAD C658 or M33 type unit vs. an NAD 758V3 or 777V3? I am starting with a great set of B&W 804 Diamond speakers and looking for power, I already own an T787 that is a few years old. BTW is there anything I can do to upgrade my older T 787 to get the latest enhancements?

    • @TLPCHC
      @TLPCHC  3 роки тому +1

      Firstly, you can upgrade your T-787 with NAD's MDC upgrade boards. You can see some of them at the bottom of this page (and an 8k HDMI board is comming soon: www.listeningpost.co.nz/brands/nad/nad-__I.27183__C.346229

    • @TLPCHC
      @TLPCHC  3 роки тому +1

      Secondly, you are asking the age old question "Stereo vs Theatre". Stereo is stereo, and can not be a home theatre...while Home Theatre is multi channel and can (at a certain quality point) do Stereo. So which do you need?

      @@TLPCHC Great question! Truly I am not a huge movie watcher but I do watch movies/Netflix. Music is much more important to me...so stereo. Head in that direction?! You are very kind to respond thank you. Steve

      OK - So the M33 woudl be a superb option. Or the C-388 and a BluOs modual (and / or and HDMI audio modual)
