Jimmy was joined by Pikachu for a live question themed on Pokémon. The mystery guests were two actors and a dog who had appeared in various John Lewis Christmas adverts during the decade. Recorded guest questions were provided by Jourdan Dunn, Scarlett Moffatt, Bear Grylls, Sophia the Robot, Peter Crouch, Oti Mabuse, and McFly. Jon Snow provided the song lyric as a news story segment, reporting on "Get Lucky". Charles Dance gave readings of online reviews of films. The children of Mitchell Brook Primary School made an appearance acting out the rescue of the Chilean miners.
The final question was asked by Charlotte Crosby, dressed as Miley Cyrus in the Wrecking Ball video.
Original Broadcast Date: 26 December 2020

As someone from the United States, it has taken me years of watching this, 8 out of 10 cats, and 8 out of 10 cats does countdown to realize that Ed Miliband is a person and not the Ed Miller Band.
I learned it off Last Leg when they were talking about Millifans.
It took me a while to realize that Ant and Dec are two people, and not Anton Deck.

"Well, your own, for starters."
😂😂😂 Savage, Jimmy. Absolutely brutal.
When he licks his lips just before the punchline knowing its going to be tasty
So it turns out Will Smith wasn't the first to go up and slap a comedian for making a joke about their wife on TV. Joe Lycett did it first.
I know. It was crazy to see
Joe could probably flatten Jimmy, he's a big lad. Would be quite odd to see it though. 👍 😂
Funny! Well done.
@@jimmyusee and he’s very masculine. And very right wing.

The audience is correct: the set-up for Jimmy’s tax scandal joke was much funnier than the punchline.

Tbh that's very similar to how people say it in North America! I've never actually thought to ask an Italian speaker 😬
Alan Carr's suggestion that "Grinders and Mincers" could be their team name was quite possibly the funniest thing I've ever heard him say. Brilliant.
Alan can be a bit much at times but he's got some absolute classics on his resume.
I don't know him much but, if that's the funniest thing he ever said, I imagine he is not that funny then.

Obviously rehearsed.
There was another episode of big fat quiz where Jonathan brought along some dogs that he claimed to be dog sitting. 🤣
Rehearsed or not, she's still an amazing woman.

‘A nutribullet with a fringe’ 😂😂😂😂
Okay. Now I know what I really need in this world is a series in which Jimmy Carr and Pikachu investigate crimes.
Alan’s joke: what straight people do in their bedrooms was the most clever I heard in a long while.
It's funny how Jimmy's tax scandal is going to follow him around for the rest of his life, and it's always going to be funny even before he does his joke about it
I absolutely love how he embraces it too, even if he has his own views on the subject he doesn’t defend it.
Man just goes along with the joke and even adds to it most of the time.

And it really wasn't even his fault, he had no way of knowing he had dodgy accountants.. but it comes to something when the head of your country in a meeting with heads of other countries pauses the important meeting with other world leaders to turn to the camera and say "that guy needs to pay his blanking taxes"

Yeah, exactly how hard would it have been for them to get someone Icelandic to pronounce it? Icelanders aren't exactly unicorns :Þ It sounds like they got someone Indian to pronounce it. Jonathan mangled the "ll" and the vowels, but at least he got the emphasis and number of syllables right.

yeah not really the full episode with so much missing.
Oh Stacey... Bless your heart.
The start of this show, foreshadowed Chris Rock and Will Smith. 1:30. The difference being , Jimmy could deflect nicely here, poor Chris couldn't. I love how everyone in this Quiz could stay professional through it all. Another great Watch, I loved it and everyone involved.
Literally just discovered this show as an American days ago, been binging this channel. Lucky I wasn’t the American guest on this show because I would have absolutely LOST IT when the MONSTER showed up in the Christmas advent or whatever the limey hell that was 😂😂😂 I laughed so hard
I love how usually Jimmy is stingy on "just give it to 'em" points, but he does it for the Olympics answer. Probably because he realizes everyone either gets it or doesn't, so it doesn't mean a crap if he gives it.
"You're like a NutriBullet with a fringe" killed me haha
I love how when Jimmy asks Stacey if 'they' have an answer, Stacey replies with some bubbly, yet randomly asinine factoid..and that's when Jonathan leans forward obligingly and says "Jimmy, *we thought..."* and proceeds with the correct answer. So wonderfully charming (albeit enabling 🤭).

Oh wow. I've only ever seen this episode before in low resolution on UA-cam so I never noticed Ross's plaid shirt was actually sparkling as well. He really looks like a lumberjack that likes to press wild flowers and put on women's clothes.
That's okay.

I'm a complete nerd for wanting to correct Jonathan Ross when he said Charmander evolves into Charizard. Charmander evolves into Charmeleon! It doesn't go directly from Charmander to Charizard!
Bet ya he's the one that came up with the original question in Blaine's Gym of 'Does Caterpie evolve into Butterfree?'

Fair to assume he meant it'd eventually evolve into Charizard.
From living in England I know that women like Stacey are actually smart as fuck and are infact providing social cohesion by taking the role they do.
When she went on her small rant about the unjustness of the point allocation I could see exactly what you mean
yes, don't compete with dudes trying to oneup each other
There's many forms of intelligence after all. Stacey might not be a master of trivia but social intelligence will come up a lot more in life.
I'm not so sure! Does she need to disguise herself so thoroughly as a cretin (the hat business)? Are people really diverted by morons? I had hoped that Savile was an exception.

You and me have different definitions of FULL EPISODE.
hey! thanks!
Why are all the clips cut out, they are very relevant to the jokes and humour that follows.
It can't be copyright issues as other channels have no problem showing clips?
Probably to do with monetization.
Videos that show clips which aren't their property can't get monetized by UA-cam.
This channel wants the money, others aren't that bothered.
@@Paddy.C
I appreciate you taking time to read my comment and reply. You are probably right. I don't know much about the workings of UA-cam but have heard the word 'monitization' bandied about.
I was thinking that if the original show included the clips there's be no issue, but if the show got proper licensing but not the subsequent UA-cam channel, they might well cut the clips out to avoid hassles.
All the best and thanks for expanding my knowledge base.
@@LaHermitess Hey no worries.
Yeah, UA-cam can be a weird place, and a lot of it is run by automated systems.
So, as you say, even if the TV show had licenced the clips, the UA-cam bots would pick up on them being shown on a source that wasn't their original channel, and just automatically demonetize the video, so they don't get any revenue from the ads.
I hope you continue to upload episodes. It's nice to finally watch them in high quality!
edit: nevermind, you cut out the video clips they watched on the very first question... going back to low quality reuploads...
Why did they cut out John Snow dancing??
I guess copyright from the music!
Alan was a basil brush tribute act, but Joe was a Lewis Capaldi tribute act.
Why would you remove the pictures and videos?
Copyright rules on UA-cam, probably
Anyone else pick up on Stacey saying younger Jonathan looked like Lauren Llewelynce-Bowen?
Stacey might not be the sharpest but she's so charming and adorable.
Omg 11:59 he looks incredibly like a grown up Jack-Jack from The Incredibles when he blurts "IT'S LAZOŇYA"

Stop taking out the video clips please, there's no context to the questions or answers otherwise
While I very much agree with you, it's almost *certainly* due to legal/copyright issues. Similarly how music will often be cut/replaced.
@kyleerikson4971
Most likely yes, ah lawyers.. they're a fun-loving bunch aren't they 🙂
Yeah, youtube will detect it and give them a copyright strike. Pretty obnoxious.
Hopefully in the future they get this figured out, when even major networks have to cut around all music and film clips, something is broken.
One minute in and Jimmy gets the Will Smith treatment.

In America for some weird reason The Hokey Kokey is called The Hokey Pokey, I do not know why
I always thought the Hokey Pokey was a play on Hocus Pocus and was a racially-charged mockery of indigenous peoples' fire dances.
We call it the hokey pokey in NZ too
@@johnhuffman9533 it is a play on hocus pocus, although modified to mock Catholics in the UK, which then switched back to Hockey Pockey in other countries when the context of mocking Catholics was removed. However, that is just the most likely origin as there are a few theories around. I think they were mocking the Catholic magical doctrine of bread and wine becoming the flesh and blood of Christ. Edit, also it's hockey *cockey. Edit 2, just googled, and earliest reference here in the UK is 1826, an earlier reference could change it's origins.
