#London #LondonBusDriver #Bus #BusDriver #Buses I have compiled a couple of days worth of footage into one video! If you did enjoy please leave a like and subscribe for more!
I just passed my medical so I can start training with stagecoach and been watching ur vids and they’ve been a really big help, have seen you haven’t uploaded in a while just wanted to know if your well and thanks as ur vids have helped me build confidence when I start driving a bus. Would like to see u uploading all the best
I like the Constant uploading, it's nice to have bus driver videos. Any chance u could do some opinions on certain buses. So enviro 400, reasons why you like it etc
It depends on what you’re coming coming into the job for if it’s for the love of buses then yeah you’re gonna love it if you’re just in it for the driving you’ll enjoy that part but not the rest of it
Thank you for subscribing! I’ll drive the electric buses as we all have to learn how they work etc but I’m not too sure if I’ll do the 180s if they revise the route to be from North Greenwich to Erith then I will consider doing it
I wonder have you driven the Scania's yet? Also do you know why the same Scania seems to have different sounds when on the 96 compared to the 177 and 472 routes. Thanks
@@TaylorStraub Ah thanks for the fast response and Example when you have time is Version 1: ua-cam.com/video/jCKYN3Dh-xc/v-deo.html Seems like either a turbo mode or something the cooling fan seems louder and that version is often on the 96 route, same N230UD engine. Version 2: ua-cam.com/video/ZKTvvWWylOY/v-deo.html Was used on 122 and 53 routes but mainly 177 and 472 had them. Maybe its my ears but the ones that seemed to have a ton of hills like the 99 and 96 seemed to have the version 1 sound. Wondering if its some mode the drivers can turn on or off. Sorry for the long post I'd check plumstead Depot myself but there isn't an open day Im aware of due to covid.
Ik I'm about 4 weeks late but was there any chance you drove 12347 SN64OGW on the 472 at around 10-11pm last night? If you did, I was the kid that got on at Woolwich Market😂😂
It depends because there at our company there is a rota where drivers only work Monday to Friday but it's extremely hard to get onto it and not very likely to get onto it but you do normally get 2 sundays off a month which in my opinion is really good but it ultimately depends on the rota they put you on
@@TaylorStraub Thanks for response. Is it possible to swap lates to just do earlies instead? I used to work for Stagecoach in the North East, they’re were quite flexible. Although we mostly operated local routes. And had lots of different rotas for flexible working.
While I commend your enthusiasm perhaps you should tell everyone what's really like working for slavecoach with them only paying driving hours not tod I worked at Rainham working 62 hours in a 5 day period and only getting paid for 45
I’m so sorry to hear this is your experience! Unfortunately I can only go off what I have experienced and I have never experienced anything like that I have been treated very well where I am.
@@TaylorStraub so do you get paid sign on to sign off or are you on a 12 week average paid rota either 38 or 45 hours a week do you get paid the same amount every week
Nice to know the worldly knowledge of buses and bus routes love watching your videos as I'm a bus enthusiast and bus user keep them coming. 👍👋
Thank you for another good video Taylor very enjoyable. I’m like you not really a fan on the hot weather. Colder the better for me.

Is bus driving a good job? Like is the pay good. We need more vids too👍

Very true about warning lights, shouldn't be ignored. Out of interest why does the 161 nearly always have MMCs while other PD routes have a variety?
Probably because they bought MMC's specifically for that route not sure if that is the actual reason tho
The 67 plate was bought for the 161
Hiya Taylor Mate Subscribed Will u drive the 180s when they go Electric
Thank you for subscribing! I’ll drive the electric buses as we all have to learn how they work etc but I’m not too sure if I’ll do the 180s if they revise the route to be from North Greenwich to Erith then I will consider doing it
have an interview with stagecoach next week, is it possible to apply to just do evening shifts once you’re started?
It depends on the garage as you will be put on the spare list to start with and you'll be covering duties that need to be covered
When you next uploading been waiting for a new vid
When I want to upload I will upload.
@@TaylorStraub fair enough we will stay waiting…
On Stagecoach MMCs, is there an exhaust push button you press every few minutes
No
@@TaylorStraub Cool. Do you think Stagecoach should try buying Arriva again?
I wonder have you driven the Scania's yet? Also do you know why the same Scania seems to have different sounds when on the 96 compared to the 177 and 472 routes. Thanks
Yes I have driven the Scania's and I'm not sure what you mean a lot of the Scania's we have don't sound the same

@@TaylorStraub it’s cool! Thanks I was so excited and nervous lol
Also do you mind if I ask do you receive a yearly salary increase?
We receive an increase for the first 5 years of service then we are capped

Is it possible to have most Sundays off, or work the same number of Sundays you have off?

Is it easy to live in London on a bus driver' s salary ?
For a 20 year old yes it's so easy
I thought you looked young! I' ve also learned that bus drivers don' t need to be 21 to have PSV.
Yeah you only need to be 18
Have you heard of an old comedy TV series called On The Buses ?
Yes I watched bits of it when I was a kid
