Someone said in a comment that he got fired. Don't know if that's true or not? He doesn't respond to his emails and why would he have his email address in his bio section of UA-cam stating if you want to contact him to use his email if he doesn't respond to them? Would love to hear from him letting us know if there's anything wrong. I hope he's ok, because I loved his videos.
Stagecoach is now owned by DWS which is part of the German Bank group. They brought Stage coach for £600 million. National Express just lost out by a last minute bid by DWS . When this last video was uploaded It was around the time DWS took over perhaps new rules came in regarding filming. Another reason maybe Taylor just lost interest in doing these videos.
What are the exact rules regarding compulsory (known as white stops in my day) and request stops these days. What are you told in training is the official way you must work them. When I was driving (1974 to 1999) you had to stop at every compulsory stop whether there were passengers wanting to get on or off or not, it was a rule in the rule book that you had to adhere to. For request stops, passengers had to put their hand out to get on or ring the bell to alight. If no one did this you did not stop. I got reported a couple of times by a roadside inspector for not stopping (known then as bumping) at a compulsory stop. Thanks Taylor, all the best.
Here in NZ we don’t have separate compulsory and request stops passengers must ring bell if they wanna alight or signal the driver to stop if they want the bus to pick them up, oh and if there on there cell phones and expect me to alert them that a bus is approaching then tough luck, what’s more important the bus or your cellphone 😆😆
I had a lady stand up but not press the bell until I went past and she shouted stop then! I said did you press the bell and she actually said well I'm stood up 🤣🤣 like I can predict when she wanted the stop
That's strange? Someone replied to my comment about wondering if he's ok because he hadn't done a video in a long time and they said that he doesn't drive anymore; that he got fired. I asked them how they knew, and they never told me. If you did see him driving, then that individual was wrong. I do hope he's ok. I miss his videos.
Typically bring a packed lunch and no I have my lunch at the garage but that will change as I’m going on the 161s and the route doesn’t pass the garage so it all depends how long my break is
Hi great videos, I have just started as a bus driver and I have noticed that some buses feel really fast even tho its only doing 30mph and some feel really slow, do you know why they feel like this? Thanks
Hiya Mate Love The Videos I herd Someone Said That The 180s Will Be ReRouted To North Greenwhich for Elizabeth Line is that true and it will no longer go Lewisham
No I won’t be doing Amazon as that’s part of the 177 rota and yeah pretty much I think the 122s have taken the 2’s think some people call the 422s double 2’s or 22’s
I hope he's ok too. I sent him a couple of emails that I got from his UA-cam description and he hasn't replied. I keep thinking that maybe he's so busy with work that he hasn't had time to reply, or that he's got lots of emails and he hasn't gotten to mine yet? Maybe he's taking a break from UA-cam? Either way, I pray that he's ok.
I have a question. I know you haven't driven for as long as other drivers, but do you ever get bothered by people who stick their arm out for ages to get the bus to stop? I know it's not always easy for you to indicate straight away in certain situations, but sometimes I worry that I aggrivate drivers by keeping my arm out for over 5 seconds because I can't see the indicator light yet. I've also had the opposite happen, where I stuck my arm out but then the driver indicated instantly - except he wasn't indicating for me so he almost missed me and got agitated. (Also, those 198××s are those 12reg, aren't they? They seem to be notorious)
It’s more annoying when you’ve indicated but they keep their arm out just makes out that bus drivers are blind it’s really insulting when I’ve shown I’ve seen them
@@TaylorStraub Yeah, I know what you mean by that. I see a lot of people mistreat drivers, but I appreciate the work you guys put in every week. I'm autistic so there's kind of a social barrier between me and everyone else, but I try to make sure I don't do anything that might cause a driver trouble. I really appreciate the insight you give.
Where have you gone Taylor, please post an update again bud?
just came across your videos and really great insight thank you
Just subbed. Love using the bus and am Rey grateful to the drivers. Keep it up!
I really enjoy your videos. Someday I would love to visit the uk and when I do, I hope I get to ride your bus and possibly meet you.
i reckon taylor has been told not to film like lots of bus companies tell drivers

0707 is always late by Bexleyheath Station approaching Clock Tower
Hello! I think I saw you driving the 161 earlier today, the bus fleetcode was 12434. Anyway, I hope you have a good day today :)
Hallo Taylor, I am the new bus driver who greeted you this morning in Peckham
Was good to meet you!
Going through the process of starting this journey becoming a bus driver. Thanks for the videos. Are you still working?
Are early and middle duties more common than late duties as it seems they always give you early and middles
i would say so i normally get 2 weeks of earlies a month
Depends on the rota
@@TaylorStraub do you have a spare jumper large stagecoach

Centre doors are almost uniquely a London thing, very rare to see dual door buses outside the capital
There are some in Brighton
Where have you gone
I saw you today on the 96

Have you quit the buses now ?
How did your driving 422 go
What type of foods do you eat on your break? Where do you eat, is it in the bus or at the stations?

Do you ever have to worry about toilet facilities on the routes in your Garage??
Of course everyone does we all have a right to go to the toilet there should be more dedicated toilets for bus drivers
@@TaylorStraub definitely 💯

161 is bad
better than 472 where you always creep at 15mph or less due to a super high frequency
Why is the 161 bad? Gotta be much better than the 177.
