You might remember the old Volvo B10M & Volvo Citybus basically same vehicle’s with same Chassis etc. They very rarely broke down as they just ran for the whole time. Best vehicle’s I worked on in my lifetime. Far better than the rubbish you get nowadays.
When the 51 was at plumstead stagecoach about 5 years ago it broke down and the I bus was flinching and lights were flashing destination stopped working madness I went to a scrap yard and I saw the bus it was waiting for refurbishment and to go to a new operator Bye taylor
I'm sorry that your Bus broke down😥. I know how that feels. I drive a School Bus in the U.S. and on my route my Bus broke down and I still had kids on my Bus. Not a fun thing to happen, especially when you got screaming kids to deal with. I have a question that I've been wondering about? Do those double decker Buses feel like you're going to tip over when going around corners because of the extra height? You're probably thinking what kind of question is that haha🤣.
When I first drove one yeah it did feel like that but after some time it feels like you're driving a single decker you tend to forget that it's a double decker I can see why so many bridge strikes do happen because when you are driving it doesn't feel like there is an upstairs
@@TaylorStraub I can imagine that it would feel like that at first until you get used to it. When you talk about bridges being struck by a high vehicles, I know when I go underneath a bridge in my Bus, it always feels like I'm going to scrape the roof of by Bus, or that I won't be able to make it all the way and end up taking the roof off lol, but I know there's plenty of clearance. I guess it has to do with depth perception?
Hi, What safety measures have been put on place during this pandemic new omicron variant how safe is it to drive bus during this time? I to have applied to become a bus driver it is one of my dream job. Thank you
How long has the 177/Amazon Rota existed for? Also since you're on this rota does this mean you don't get any late shifts because the Amazon routes run in the morning?
The mixed rota started in August of this year and there are Amazon trips in the morning and the evening the last bus leaves Amazon at 8pm you still finish late I’ve got a couple shifts where I finish at 01:17 in the morning you just do your Amazon trip then go back to being a 177
@@TaylorStraub It's the same for the Amazon warehouse at Tilbury, there's the Z1, Z2 and Z4 operated by Ensignbus which operate from the likes of Aveley and Pitsea (Even from Canning Town on the Z2) and the Z5 from Southend for Amazon employees

Wow, That’s a long sheets of stops, times in a route. We only have one sheet called a peddle that tells you everything for that specific day.
Nice work bus.
Nice video! And yeah it happens, hope you're alright.
Most of the time I start my shifts between 4 and 5 am and I finish between 1140am -2 pm sometimes I love and sometimes I hate it
Down East London Barking have Amazon Route. It’s Operated by Ensign Bus operator

Some of these hybrids cut out at random points. Its like the generator can’t keep up.
if the generator cant keep up it will go lim, or lack acceleration, what are you on about🤣🤣🤣
I do hate the 96 sometimes coz once I think coz of petrol it took 4 hours for the bus to come
Yes that was a very annoying time, but also a very easy time for a bus driver as we were all just sitting in traffic all day.

Hope the engineer turned up eventually😂😂 are the Amazon routes just for their staff and nothing to do with TFL?
Yes they turned up with another bus eventually and yes it's just a staff bus for Amazon employees.

The safety procedures are the same. They haven't really changed the cab is still sealed to protect the driver.
The lights were flickering
Do the Engineers usually do the checks of a new bus when they're bringing down to you??🤔
Yes but everyone that drives the vehicle has to fill in the defect card so we all have to do the checks anyways
yeah, usually spare buses have just come from its monthly service
@@TaylorStraub hello mate how are ya
Off work Sick but apart from that not too bad thanks
Another bus in UK that broke down…. What a pieces of shit they have overthere….

Have you ever been turned at Woolwich before on a 177 trip?
No I haven’t it’s extremely rare most of the time they’ll just turn you at the garage
What are the Amazon routes?
AZ1 and AZ2
@@BusesinLondon345 no I mean where do they go and if they’re TfL routes
It’s not a tfl route it’s a staff bus for Amazon employees to the warehouse in Dartford
