    I keep coming across videos of incredible musicians doing Yes songs as if they were born doing it. I'm so impressed. And yes, at 78, Jon can still SING!! What breath control he has.

    Oh my..Jon's voice! this is fantastic!! Those talented kids must have worked so hard at this but it totally pays off. I'm an oldie btw. I first saw Jon sing with YES on the 22nd of December 1970. I was 15. Events like that stay with you for ever

    How the devil do you get Jon Anderson to come to your academy to sing Roundabout with you?? A wonderful version of this song and Jon's voice is indistinguishable from the 34 year old Jon I saw at Wembley Empire Pool in 1977.

    This is more spirited and entertaining then anything I've heard from the debacle that is the current lineup of the pseudo-Yes. Jon should take these kids on a world tour. I bet they could make my teeth rattle on Gates of Delirium if given half a chance.

    I saw a version of Yes in a live concert, around 15 years ago. I’m a long time fan, but found the whole thing rather tedious and lacking in any sort of energy or enthusiasm. The whole of their output seemed to have slowed down to a snail’s pace.
    This seems much more like the dynamic band I first became enamoured with, over 50 years ago. Maybe it’s the youthful nature of it and of course Jon is brilliant as ever.

    This makes me so happy! Perhaps we have a future after all!
    What a shame that so few people have seen these videos, when a girl in a vest doing nothing much gets millions of views. Such is life! Well done to the academy and thank you to Jon for all he has contributed to my life without knowing it.

    I feel a bit sorry for the bass guitarist - he should have been front and centre of the stage and of the mix, given that this is one of a handful of the greatest bass parts ever written.

    Jon's still got it. Amazing! Lead guitarist is ripping.
    I love this incarnation of Jon playing smaller venues with Band Geeks and Rock Academy. Jon should keep doing it long as he can. Forget a Yes reunion, this is better. Jon surrounded by all those talented, dedicated young players and singers that absolutely love Yes music. The perfect way to round out an amazing career and hand off classic Yes for the next generation to love as we have.

    The voice of YES ,Steve Howe isn’t a founding member unlike Jon Anderson.

    • @rosskstar
      @rosskstar Рік тому +2

      Jon was the central moving force for the ethereal character of the band - but i can't dis what Howe's guitar did for them. Business decisions eh

    • @simduino
      @simduino Рік тому

      @@rosskstarSteve Howe is an experimentalist. He plays pieces nobody does but he's incapable of playing the same song twice in the exact way. He's amazing on slide guitar but on guitar he definitely can't beat Trevor Rabin. Trevor is far more accurate, never seen him missing a note.

    • @simduino
      @simduino Рік тому +4

      Does it matter? Rick Wakeman wasn't a founding member either but he did elevate Yes to another level. Without him and Chris, Yes would be a different story. Awaken is the exact proof of that.

    • @rosskstar
      @rosskstar Рік тому +3

      @@simduino They're both legit in their own ways ~ no doubt about it; but YES would be a lesser animal if TR had been in Howe's place.

    • @rosskstar
      @rosskstar Рік тому +1

      @@simduino I wouldn't argue with that one bit. Too bad Bruford didn't stick around ~ he was attracted to a darker animal in KC.
