We desperately need a blu-ray of the show, including all the songs you've played (Gates and Rhythm of Love weren't played every evening)! And please, pleeeease, book more dates! And if it isn't to much to dream, come play in Brazil!
I was wondering what might have become of her with Jon joining in for the tour. She truly is a phenomenal talent, and I hope she's not sitting at home brooding. Background?
Richie, I know you and the other band geeks put in a lot of hard work on this project. I also can see that you all are absolutely giddy with excitement both on and off the stage. You’ve just realized another musician’s dream! I know I’ve been living vicariously through you the past few weeks. Hoping that Jon and the geeks will reunite for more shows this fall!
You guys are all such badssses. Love the five part harmonies on Suite Judy. Andy Graziano is just hitting it out of the park. Saw you guys at the Palladium. Best 2.5 hours of my life in a looong time. Thanks 👏
What an amazing group of musicians. You guys probably will never be household names, but you are filling some mighty big shoes! Thanks for keeping the Jon Anderson and Yes legacy alive!
Damn Andy - couldn't tune up for the big video? friggin E strings! One point that was left on the cutting room floor is that I practice classical before the show because if I can muster the poise to play that music correctly, especially like a Bach piece or other concert piece from my repertoire, then I can have the poise to go out and play Yes music correctly :)
Any time I have a gig where I need to play bass with the pick, I warm up with (ironically enough) Heart of the Sunrise. Same philosophy, I think ... if I can play that opening riff correctly, I can usually play anything else the gig calls for. I saw the show in Collingswood, NJ, and you guys crushed it. I've seen various iterations of Yes shows over the years -- the 90125 tour in 1983, Big Generator, ABWH, Union, the classic Yes lineup in the early 2000s -- and your show may have been my favorite of all.
So interesting to see your warm ups and ‘rituals’. Thanks very much Richie, for showing us. I’ve been a massive Yes and Jon Anderson fan since 1971, aged 15. I fell in love with your ‘Band Geeks’ Yes covers quite a while ago. I couldn’t believe how good you all are. You’re all amazing musicians. It’s wonderful that you’ve teamed up with Jon to perform the great Yes Classics. I’ve been enjoying the videos from your US tour and it would be brilliant if you were able to come with Jon and tour over here for us, in the UK. Here’s hoping. Thanks again and all the very best to you all. 🎶❤️🎶
Yes has been my favorite band since 1971. I've seen them 12 times, and had given up ever seeing Jon sing the epic songs again. That was until I saw him play w/ you guys in North Tonawanda, 9 days ago. You guys were incredible. I hope you go back out on tour again. Thanks for doing Gates that night!
I love how you make me feel like a friend welcomed to watch your rehearsals. I share in your excitement of being able to play Yes, and of course playing with Jon being the pinnacle of your hard work. Highlights for me have been learning how you get Mr Squire's sound, and when you first introduced Chris Clark, and said that he knows all the prog stuff. Then he noodled off everything you mentioned. So much talent all you guys have! Completely enjoy anything you post online. It's a real treat. See you in South Florida (previously from Long Island) when you get here.
Best Yes/related show in terms of sound quality and band performance I have seen. The Yesheads sitting around me were blown away. Ritchie your concert production was outstanding and please do a video on what that entails.
Steve Bean gave us his "book report" Sunday about the three shows he attended. He said something to Chris that echoed my thoughts. "Not only do you guys have the chops to play Yes music, you also have the respect and passion for it." He said Chris appreciated that complement. It's like playing Beethoven and doing it well. The inner flame has to be there to do it right!
Chris said to me, "When you play Beethoven, you have to play it a certain way. When you play Yes, you have to play that a certain way, too. But there's still room to improvise - and they tell you where you can do it in their live recordings."
Thank You so much, Band Geeks and Jon Anderson for bringing this great show on the road! Much respect for your dedicated efforts and hard work to continue the Yes music canon for us!
I watch every clip or video since this tour began. Totally blown away by how good it sound despite there’s no sound to talk about when recorded on a smartphone. 1. Hope there’ll be shows in Europe. 2. At least a suit of well filmed & recorded shows that one can listen and watch in the sofa at home.
Saw Jon and The Band Geeks in Albany last week with a couple friends...I can't begin to describe how blown away we were with the show! Jon's voice is still strong, and the band was really into performing the music. They all absolutely nailed it! Honestly, it felt like it was a labor of love for them all to give a really authentic performance of all these classic pieces. It was just perfect. Well done!
The only thing I can say is thank you so much from the bottom of my heart man! For me to hear gates of delirium, in the way, you guys played it was a lifelong dream of mine! Thank you, thank you thank you!
So, you guys absolutely nail the Yes catalog. Nice going. Has it come up, I wonder, whether Jon would cut an album with you guys of some new music? That would be something.
Los vengo siguiendo hace varios años, agradeciendo la calidad de cada cover. Me sorprendió (gratamente) la colaboración con Jon Anderson, me imagino que es un honor tenerlo lado a lado en el escenario, felicitaciones por el logro
Best Yes music I’ve heard in years hope you stay together & that was with Jon being a little under the weather !! Was hoping you would’ve swung through Philly
Cool vid! As a musician it's great to see what goes on behind the scenes before you guys play. I've got one of those Godins that Andy has, love it! They're not just good for classical, but also for flamenco as well. Marcus Nand plays one on both his solo records and also with his neuvo flamenco group Ziroq.
that was just about the best warmup/backstage version of Suite Judy Blue Eyes I've ever heard. How I wish I could see this show. I'll have to suffice with the UA-cam clips for now. Hopefully someday you guys will play closer to me.
Great video. I really enjoy hearing how musicians warm up for a show. One unrelated question. Have you and the rest of the Geeks written original music? Thanks.
Please schedule a concert in or near South Mississippi such as IP Casino, Biloxi or Saenger Theatre in New Orleans. It is my dream to see/hear Jon Anderson in concert❤
I saw you last night at the Wellmont… I’m 69 years old… I’ve seen Yes 16 times I think… I was a drummer when I was a kid, and when I heard Yes I knew I had to play guitar… anyway around 10-15 years ago I saw yes and I said OK that’s over, never saw them again… I never ever thought I’d see and hear what I experienced last night… I just want to say thank you… I know this has been a huge effort
Way more of what yes is about.. better than the band that uses the name. Yes....they don't have it....all they have is the name.....not the soul of yes... Thank you jon

Just watched some clips of Steve Howe's YES band, the band Geeks are so much better, that Steve's band is almost embarrassing. There is nothing wrong with Steve though, it is the people he picked out to accompany him on his tour.
I grew up on YES. Am a big critic as well. You guys should be very proud of you work. Fantastic

Getting your former singer back would be a great thing to do pre show.

The harmonizing on leave it is dead on! Excellent!
You guys are all such badssses. Love the five part harmonies on Suite Judy. Andy Graziano is just hitting it out of the park. Saw you guys at the Palladium. Best 2.5 hours of my life in a looong time. Thanks 👏
I am going to start doing some simple vocal warm ups before I record. Thanks for the tip Richie. Us Hecklers are 110% behind you guys.
What an amazing group of musicians. You guys probably will never be household names, but you are filling some mighty big shoes! Thanks for keeping the Jon Anderson and Yes legacy alive!
I know it'd be tough but if you can get Jon to participate in these...... Always nice to see him laugh or smiling
Damn Andy - couldn't tune up for the big video? friggin E strings! Be honest - who else sang “real”..? ;)
What they should be doing is choosing a better name. Like Soldiers of Fortune.
