Can you literally just start the car in the spring? Some say to try and turn the car over without starting it by pulling the fuse for the fuel pump? To move a bit of oil around…Thoughts?
Why do the springs need to be kept loaded? They are stored in a box on the shelf unloaded. Many cars dont have a safe spot to lift it on jack stands where the springs would stay loaded.
Usually i wouildnt recommend stands, It's not good for your suspension bushings to be stretched in their non-normal direction for long periods of time. So, if you do store on stands, putting the stands under the control arms makes sure the suspension remains under compression and prevents stretching.

Funny. For motor week, Pat said you should drain the gas tank for long term storage.

What is your comment on Flat spot preventing ramps ? Are they worth it?
