This was one of the best drop shot presentations I have listened to. I agree that slow and steady is preferable to overworking the lure. It is finesse.
This is great, like all of your videos that I've seen. But, if you are dragging the bottom, you are likely to get snagged very often and lose a ton of bait, lures, and hooks. How do I avoid that? Thank you
definitely use a size 1 or 1/0 ewg dropshot hook. If you go to TW, look up Decoy hooks. They have a killer offset Worm 117 ewg type hook. For casting a dropshot, you cannot beat it!!! I have one drop shot rod that I use for vertical presentation and use a standard dropshot open hook on med-light rod. But for casting, I have a completely different, more medium rod with the EWG dropshot hook. It has made a huge difference.

I pre tie my own dropshot rigs,i use a small swivel and hook of choice. I store my longer leaders in a 3×4 polly bag and shorter ons in 2×3 bags
You always make the best videos…. Great info!
Thanks
Thank you Sir for the tips. Getting ready for a July RoadRunner derby and I got a feeling that drop shot is gonna be a key bait 👊😎
Purple awsome drop shot color
I use mostly Roboworms on drop shots. Aarons Pro Shad, Aarons SXE shad, Margarita Mutilator and MM3. I also like Zman Long Shotz.
Sounds like I need to get on board with this
My buddy who taught me to fish always says that if there is an apocalypse, and you need to feed your family, dropshot. It catches them. Big and small
When I fish it deep, I’ll fish it on semi slack line and move line slightly. Preserves life like action. You miss a fish or two this way though
I fish the drop shot too much, any advice on how i can put it down and use a bigger presentation? Lol i rarely put down the fairy wand
I drop shot with a split shot.
U drag u snag 😢 what to do?
Try Texas rigging your drop shot. I use owner down shot hooks because most of the areas around me are large granite rock piles or heavy with grass

Getting snagged too much. Your either fishing a drop shot in an area that you shouldn’t or go lighter pencil weight. Hope this helps.
