Wow oh wow! I was six years old and remembered watching this! I asked my mom whats going with that lady singer? Mom replied "She received her Christmas present"! Pure sincere moment that I still never forget!

Besides the beautiful Mother/son moment, Alyce shows what a pro she is as she continues to finish the song perfectly 👏👏👏

Alyce had a rich and lovely alto voice, and her rendition of "I'll Be Home For Christmas" was appropriate.

PAUL FROM TORONTO. I WAS 14 YEARS AT THIS TIME AND I LOVED THE KING FAMILY SPECIALS. WE GOT THEM HERE IN CANADA ON
A CBS CHANNEL. BUT I MISSED THIS ONE THOUGH ALL THESE YEARS LATER IT BRINGS A LUMP TO MY THROAT. BLESS THE KING SISTERS
AND THE ENTIRE CLAN. THANKS FOR BRINGING SO MUCH MUSIC AND LOVE TO THE WORLD. TOO BAD THE DECENDENTS DID NOT KEEP THE TRADITION FROM CARRYING ON. LOVE PAUL.

I love this! I remember watching this when it aired in 1967, my brother was away serving and he couldn't come home that Christmas. My Mother started to cry when Alyce's son walked onto the stage. This was so very touching and a wonderful surprise for everyone!!

I don't know if you'll see this Jennifer. I went to elementary school (at Campbell Hall in Studio City) with Priscilla Burch, daughter of Bill Burch and step daughter of Yvonne King Burch. Priscilla and I were in the Tinkerbelle Blue Birds and Camp Fire Girls from 1956 - 1960. I knew Priscilla's mom, Becky Burch, when she died of Leukemia in the late 1950's. My dad was a musician (his trio was "The Cass County Boys") on the Gene Autry Melody Ranch Radio Show in the 1940's-1950's at the time when Alyce, Yvonne, and another King Sister were also on the show. My parents socialized with Bill and Becky Burch in the 1940's-1950's.
