  • When the family was asked to sing at Utah's sesquicentennial celebration, Aunt Vonnie was asked to put together a clip for the show. Of course, she went overboard and they didn't have time to show the clip she put together. This was what she created. Enjoy!

This is marvelous, Jennifer. Vonnie had such a winning, happy personality, and seeing this makes me miss The King Sisters all the more. Also, I really enjoy your Dad's performance videos. Thanks for continuing to post!

Enjoyed watching them on TV in the late 60's. What ever happened to them?

They continued to do shows into the 70's then retired. Quite a few of them have gone on to do pretty cool things...continued to sing and cut albums, become authors, voice over artists, etc.

Jennifer.. I remember some of these from our youth. I forget how good Liza was on the harp. Tell your dad I had a bit of health scare but getting back on track. Best, Bill

Most LDS families are large, many children

I was a teenager then and loved the clean wholesomeness of the King Family specials. Remember this was right in the middle of the rock n roll explosion of the 1960's - with their parade of ugly prancing swaggering egos. Such debauchery - we've never recovered.

A lot of people call them corny. But they were /are such a lovely, genuine family.

donn sunderland I too grew up watching the King family too I wouldn’t call names and say there was a parade of ugly during the 60s although it was very different from the music everyone else was listening to. The Beatles the Rolling Stones people like that nothing ugly about it their music will live on forever just like the King family

Do you know the dirt on the King Family? I don't either, nobody does cause there isn't any.
