Glad you point out to pay extra attention to the thermal pads when assembling your waterblock 🍻 Literally 99% of the support I do for BPC is related to the VRAM thermal pads and not the actual product we sell XD. Wrong pads, bad contact, cheap pads or missing pads entirely... we've seen it all now 😁 3000 series are all messed up in one way or another and sadly all these issues are left to the end user to fix :/ PS. Next checkpoint 10K subs :) 🍻
Noob question if i were to build loop only for this can i use parallel and connect it serially assuming for now this and pump and radiator only would be in the loop ?
Always dropping knowledge & straight fire for free, can't wait for your next stream ✔️🙌 gonna drop a little cash your way! Btw this is Christopher! I was in your last stream very interesting and I can never get tired of those eyes when you see something messed up 🤣 always gets me
I bought this dual waterblock kit for my Gigabyte RTX 3090 Vision OC. The blocks came with all 1.5mm pads. Once my 280mm copper radiator arrives and I can assemble the loop, I will be able to share your pain by trying to match the pad sizes. Your video is really informative and provided exactly what I was searching for.
So true! I try to help certain Twitch streamers with troubleshooting and simple things like delete cache. They are lost and don't know basics on how to navigate the C Drive let alone try to guide them through the BIOS or other overclocking/optimizing features.
Nice nice, thats an awesome drop. I really love these Bykski blocks, i really dunno why anyone would waste their money on EK stuff anymore, i mean its half the price and just as good and to be perfectly honest, i really like the visual look of them too, with the frozed plexi edges and accents that capture the lighting. I slapped a Bykski on my FTW3 3080, don't regret it at all, have zero ideas how people have managed to fry their cards, everyone carrying on like EK made their blocks wrong, 100% its just people pulling them apart wrong or bending the shit out the cards with the wrong pads. Great video though man, lovin the straight talk!
I just got my 3090 EK activate backplate for my Strix 3090 OC last week, going to put it in my new build and try out the hash rate /cooling on it too :) Will post update as well, but those numbers look sick! Great work! If I get similar numbers to you, I'll be buying more 3090's from now on ! :)
Found your videos when looking for solutions for watercooling the backplate and saw you used the mp5works on the 3080. I just got my hands on a asus ekwb 3090 but was got disapointed that ek didnt have the fitting backplate for so looking for the next best/simple solution for this. id gladly wanna have your opinion on getting the best result for getting the best possible cooling on this toy. Good and informative videos, no hussle. keep those great hardware videos comming. :)
i never took it back apart checking the pads made contact after just doing a pad change, temps ramped up real quick when starting mining, shut down the rig opened the card changed some bits and then it wouldnt boot, managaed to get a rma in the uk , was super lucky
Aren't you afraid of degrading that memory IC faster with that high of OC? I have that exact same block on my 3090 zotac, results are amazing but my temperatures aren't that extreme because I only have a single 280mm radiator in an enclosed case with a 5900x in the same loop, still 80c here while mining at 1500mhz+, 125mhs with a combined 450w load. not bad. For the zotac (and any refere cards) with that bykski cooler, thermal pads thickness are: Back: 1.5mm for memory, Use the provided 1.8mm for the rear caps. Front: 1.0mm for memory, 1.5mm for mosfets, 0.5mm for chokes and caps. A single thermalright 85x45mm pack is enough for each different thickness.
Well I have seen the other video about the putty and I guess that is the reason for the big reduction in temperature. I wish I had heard about the putty before blocking my 3090. I think I may purchase 50gb and reblock my card with the putty when the summer hits here in south america.
My 3090 Kingpin with Hydro Copper KP waterblock runs insanely cool. Memory Tjunction is 54C Hot spot, and the actually Memory 1, 2, and 3. Reach an absolute maximum of 39C. This is on test 19 of 20 during (Port Royal Stress test) my ambient is 24C. I do NOT have a MP5works backplate. However, I am Planning on trying one out. Also, why does this guy think he is so smart and special? Lol. It is the funniest shit ever. Like he talks of enthusiast level Overclocking, like he is the only person who knows this shit. like seriously man??
Unless you're voltmodding or creating your own custom bios thats an exaggeration. Haswell was much more difficult to overclock than any recent intel cpu, for example.
I put an cheap alphacool eisblock for 86 usd on my 3090 and for the backplate I put an EKWB waterblock with thermal paste on it XD. Max 75 degree while hashing
which block is this ? my card is on waterblock 3080 only front not back .. my memory temp hit 92c .. i want to bring it down so i can mine while not gaming .
where is the best place to order this from? aliexpress? or? and is there a chance EK might be making an active backplate for the tuf 3090? ..also, ho far does the plexi block that connects the 2 halves stick out from the side of the card?
I got a question about my pc temps Is is ok 3090 ftw bykski active backplate to go 50⁰c and 65⁰c hotspot and my 10900k 65⁰c /70⁰c. In warzone With 2x 360GTS pull bottom. What's your ambient room temperature? I get 56ºC at 25.2ºC Room Temperature on my Strix 3090. I could only mine 125mh/s. Also, I could not go any higher than +1400 on mem clocks. Would I get better hashrates if I plug my monitor to a different GPU?
what is the specs and settings for the fans + radi + pump because on my 3080 auros ekwb i am getting 74c on vram running on 240 radi + 2 vadar fans and 250L/H water pump
(Bykski)water block you can get them of ali express i just ordered the exact one you need ,just search (rtx 3090 dual) and find the one the says fits rtx3090 aorus extreme

if anyone has the thermal pad thicknesses necessary for the AORUS RTX 3090 XTREME 24G Feel free to post them here. I ordered 1mm and 0.5mm Let me know if you think i need more sizes :) have a great day people

Goddammit, now I'm gonna have to order one for my tuf 3090 thats just mining. That is absolute crazy results.
Very cool, the block looks like it’s a quality product especially for the price!
Thank you for doing Gods Work.
Remember Gabe Newell is watching.
