Just ran Timespy on my 3090 with an Aquacomputer block pulling the same wattage as Jufes, the temperatures peaked at: 36.6C CORE, 46.5C HOTSPOT and 50C for the memory. I'll gladly pay a little extra if it means that kind of performance, and the bonus is that you are not pouring your money to China, but to a small European company that actually tries to innovate instead of just copy-pasting.

@@AntzuPC That block is $199.99 + $62.12 import and shipping fees to Israel, buying through Amazon. As you can see the options we have are far and few and we can't just 'pay a little more' to get something more premium, because it ends up being 2~3 times more expensive. Believe me if I were in US/UK(anywhere else easily attainable) I'd gladly pay a bit more to get what I really want when due, instead of settling with Barrow/Bykski alternatives when it comes to watercooling components.
I can't really order from sites like Aquatuning, PerformancePCs, TitanRig etc... Unless I wanna pay ridiculous shipping prices to my country, not to mention %20 VAT at customs, and to add insult to injury the shipping companies (like DHL) these sites use have utter bullshit additional charges since they "technically helped" release your package from customs.
Altogether I paid I paid $107.95 for the 3080Ti Bykski block, since you literally never get taxes when buying on AliExpress since the packages and shipping methods used slip under the radar. And while it may not be the best performing it I'm extremely happy there's viable alternative, otherwise I probably would have never ventured into watercooling as it simply have been too expensive for my liking.

Looked like you were mixing methods for changing the VF curve which probably explains why you saw some regression in your 3DMark score. You need to watch effective clocks in HWINFO to really know how much your clock speed is changing. Most likely you dropped (or at least didn't increase) effective clock due to pulling up a single point on the VF curve (rather than shifting the entire curve, or at least the 3 points to the left of the 1100mv point).

I basically bought this card for the cooler myself and came here to see if it's even worth watercooling it instead. It's fantastic, this is what the 30 series always should have been. Copper shim memory modding, custom watercooling? Does diddly squat, doesn't even need it,slap it in there and it cools 500 watts at stock and under warranty.

@@FIVESTRZ As much as EK gets bashed here (for a good reason tbh), if you buy ZMT tubing and EK Torque fittings, it's basicly impossible for it to leak. It's actually hard to get them off the fittings sometimes, and if you want real life proof, my pump+reservoir combo has literally been freely hanging from a piece of ZMT tubing for over 2 years now. If you are really worried, get a leak tester and PSU jumper, only plug in the pump. Even if you somehow leaked a little, the premixed coolants aren't conductive (atleast for a short while before contaminants can make it conductive). I once forgot the main gasket for my 1080Ti waterblock, it literally sprayed the water everywhere on my computer while it was running and everything was fine after letting it dry off.

15:25 wow! That is where it leaves the 6900 XT in the dust. I have a Gigabyte RX 6900 XT with the memory at 2150MHz and the core at 2750MHz and it does about 120FPS at max 1440P. At 4K the fabric thing I have heard people talk about seems to become a bottleneck and it falls flat on its face with something like 60 FPS. Your card is about 40% faster at 4K. That is incredible and at $1100 that is a deal. Even though you only got a little more fps with water there is something to be said about not listening to the little fans squeal as you play.

Hey man. Thanks for the vid. So I am exactly the opposite of the guy that can just put on headphones and ignore the sound. I would like to know your input on this
I record and edit a lot of high res video and audio for living. I just picked up a 3090ti for insanely cheap to upgrade my setup. My set up now has a 5950x and 3090ti, ssds only. I have an aio on the cpu, stock fans on 3090ti, a psu with fan, and a semi-open case with a couple fans. Fan curve is set to silent in bios and I turned down the fan speed for the gpu in afterburner. I want to go as silent as possible to ensure no interference will be recorded in vocals during sessions… my current case is just way too loud (and has more than adequate air flow). I am using mainly cardioid mics which pick up sound from the complete opposite direction of the pc and it still picks up quite a bit, and the room has been acoustically treated. Moving the pc further away is not an option.
What would be your recommendation to achieve 0% noise (or near 0% to the point where the tolerance is so low the mic would not pick up any interference) from the pc? I have been researching the monsterlabo beast but I don’t think it can be set up for a 3090ti without serious underwatting to where it would artifact.
So would the best solution be a fanless heatsink for cpu, fanless psu, fanless chassis, waterblock for 3090ti? Please lmk what would be the best solution. I’m already in deep in terms of $ so I’m not afraid to spend more I just need to know what would achieve the absolute best sound reduction without sacrificing performance.
    Thanks
    Dave

The problem you're running into is your changing the parameters of your test between air cooled and water-cooled tests which is skewing the results. Re-run the test back-to-back without changing the settings. Tha way we will see the actual difference in operating temperature between both cooling methods. You're putting a higher heat load on the liquid cooled set-up, not an "apple-to-apple" comparison. The benefit to liquid cooling is the electronics don't get much hotter than ambient when you're not overclocking them hard, which extends the MTBF (Mean Time Between Failure) greatly and the system tends to be more stable and reliable. My liquid cooled rig has been going to 12 years without a hitch. Only changed the water twice it on its 3 refill and never leaked a drop. Time to build a new one rig :)

I would say that because GC memory seems to be getting hotter and hotter ( more heat output ) every generation, personally water-cooled would be the best option imo.

I still prefer Liquid cooling over air cooling … but my main reason is to reduce noise
I am still waiting for my 420 radiators to come in and I am still looking to get a new GPU but not at current prices (especially since I the US the 3090TI is over 50% cheaper than it is here)
I really don’t get why you are saying that EK is double the price … the only one I could find that cost double that of the Bykski block is the one where the active backplate is included … and seeing that the Bykski comes without an active backplate I would say that the price difference is valid
And you don’t need to bend the support on your I/O Slots with those
I am aware that EK might in some cases be a bit more expensive but not by that much
But than again it might be one of those cases that I live in the EU and that getting the Blocks to the US adds extra costs

there's a chance it would fare better if you didn't abuse the system with a Resolution change via Exclusive Fullscreen, that it would be stable :)
as for what's "better", for most people Liquid is better since they're going to be running their Fans at like 1000RPM either way. or they'll have poor Case Airflow or a small Case overall, Et Cetera.

Bro I'm not knocking you. But you simply don't have enough t.d.p. on that signal rad that can only hold 250 to 300 watts of power to heat dissipation. Get a mo-rae 420 pro that has a 2000+watt T>D>P then rerun your test's and check your 15C drop on water. so much more head room its insane.... Thank me later.

Air cooling is prolly better in this scenario cause the performance difference isn't that much. Keep it at air and save some money for next generation.

One thing I actually didn’t test yet is undervolting the card under water, it might be worth it if I can get a steady 90mhz boost while cutting that power in half. Probably do that in future content. At max power unlimited mode though definitely not worth

all Amd did is raise the memory clock speed limit and they have looser memory timings to allow the higher memory clock speed its still they same exact gpu chip. Id just sell it or try to return it. I have a 6900xt and I plan to sell it but I've never sold anything so I'm kinda stuck for now.

How is it that the card can stay at 1.1v and hold it at 2220MHz without bouncing up and down? I don't have a 3090ti though, but every time I set my card to the curve to 1.1v, it doesn't like to stay there.

Jufes, you are better than this. Get a water temp sensor on the loop, and possibly re-mount the block too if the water isn't boiling hot. 60C is way too much, even if you're pulling 600W+. My card stays under 40C @ 600W+ with regular paste.
