ah! i saw the grey dots in my notification and was thankful i watched it in time but now i can always rewatch :D In sort of the same category as the ordinary do you plan on doing a review of the inkey list?
Hi Abbey, do you have any recommendations for shampoos and conditioners that are fragrance ( and essential oil) free. I tried the Amika shampoo and conditioner as per your recommendations- my hair loved it but my scalp breaks out/ gets itchy with fragrance. I wish there were more hypo-allergenic products that had brilliant ingredients!
There are only two things I concentrated on and it helped me to grow back my hair: 1. Lowering the factors that cause hair fall like anxiety, fried and spicy food, smoking. 2. Boosting the factors that cause hair growth like adding Coco Onion oil and shampoo, using reactivate hair growth serum of litlleextra, hydration, fresh fruits, and veggies.. What ever the reason there is always a solution to grow your hair. Just remain confident and don’t stress over it.
i shampoo my hair 5 times a month with cocooniion shampoo and apply the reeactivate serum once a day. i also apply the coccoonion oil and hair conditioner four times monthly. sticking to this regimen for several months has resulted in positive results
This shampoo and conditioner have actually been amazing for my hair. I have shoulder length hair that is thick and my scalp is chronically itchy and irritated. I’ve tried soooo many fragrance free shampoos and my scalp is always itchy and greasy from most of the things I’ve tried. My hair is feeling less dry with this pair
that's good to know. my scalp is always itchy because i have eczema. i also found out my hair has too much protein in it from all these super moisturizing conditioners, and it's causing my hair to be brittle and break. so i've been looking for something very simple.
I'll never understand why sulphates are considered so bad. When I used sulphate free shampoos, not only did they not clean my hair properly, I had DRY hair. It was like hay. Some sulphate free stuff can still remove silicones and are more drying that sulphate based ones.
Same. I have better luck with regular old sulfate shampoo. With sulfate free, it’s much more work to get it into my hair. I have no idea if it’s even getting clean. I don’t know why we just can’t have foamy soap.
@@luckyDancer100 like shampoo bars? I've not found a good one of those yet either 😂 Its true. Its not easy to work sulphate free shampoos through your hair. The foam and suds help you distribute the shampoo in my opinion
I got eczema from shampoo 8 years ago and I have never got rid of it. I use a shampoo without SLS and it lathers so well I wash my hair twice. It is so difficult to get SLS shampoo for coloured hair though.
Well check the Black Hair isle for cleansing sulphate free shampoos . We generally can’t use sulphate shampoos as frequently as other hair types because coils, curls get dryer quicker than other hair types
Love your videos… always so thorough. My hair was always so dull and dry, no matter what product I used. Then I came across one of your older videos where you recommended making sure the hair is not only properly washed (parting it and making sure the shampoo is well distributed) but thoroughly rinsed too… game changer! I wasn’t rinsing well enough! Also love your recommendation for Purology Hydrate Sheer, perfect for my fine hair. Now it shines! Thank you!
IM OBSESSED!!! I loveeee the shampoo and conditioner. I have super baby fine hair and wash every 4 or so days! Im a grease ball normally and use to wash every day til I used monat- i know. but this is my holy holy grail. 😅
I had a post partum hair crisis. My hair was dying by the day it felt like, I stumbled on your account and binged your videos and I’m now on a journey to healing my hair and already seeing results! Thank you so much! My daughter has fine, curly/wavy hair. Wondering if you have a Go-to UA-camr you would recommend for curly hair hair care!? :)
Hey girl, Swavy Curly Courtney here on UA-cam absolutely saved me on my wavy/curly hair journey, she’s very knowledgeable and such a sweet person. You should check her out for your daughter!! :)
i feel like these brands are all trying to apply the skincare principle of simplicity for sensitive skin types to hair care but it just does not translate this directly.. from all the reviews of these products and similar 'basic, fragrance free' hair lines like vanicream, i just feel like if you are the type to have a sensitive scalp (esp ezcema or just dry scalp), these are not good products.. like sensitive dry scalps need mild shampoos but all the 'basic' ones are essentially clarifying shampoos. not good for every day tbh. if you're looking for a fragrance free actually sensitive scalp friendly shampoo, i recommend the theorie hypoallergenic shampoo. that one is actually pleasant to use too
@@katejohns3284 yes ive used it for a while! its definitely the best fragrance free / sensitive skin conditioner ive tried like it actually does work as a conditioner. i only mentioned the shampoo because i found that the texture/experience of that shampoo was so luxe while still being gentle enough for everyday use made it the best shampoo ive ever used period (im very passionate about this shampoo lmaoo ive gone through like 5 bottles now). that being said, ive gone through multiple bottles of the conditioner as well and i do love it. miles better than the bare bones conditioners but i would say the texture/experience is relatively normal / slightly better than normal. also never had any irritation from either product TLDR: if you're on a budget, i would go for the shampoo first. if you know you need fragrance free, get both. other fragrance free / sensitive skin conditioners dont really work (for reference i do not have curly hair, but i have seen several reviews from ppl with curly hair who really like this brand so i would read some of those if you have curly hair)
10 month have past since this video, can you tell me how good it was the leave-in serum? And if you think it could be good and not damaging to atopic kin? Thanks, Abbey, you are the best!
Love your videos! Super informative. I just started using the scalp serum and it is amazing. It got rid of itching and flakes after the first application. My scalp isn’t greasy after 2 nights of applying before bed, just soothed and happy. Definitely the hero of the hair care line.
Enjoyed this review but as someone who has thick, fine hair that tangles easily I don’t think this conditioner would be a good fit. I am excited to try this shampoo or the other released by the ordinary with SA and the hair growth serum. Thank you for being so honest and informative always!
Very good hair serum. I have been using liittleextra reactivate growth serum for a month now for my severe hair fall issue. It is quite effective for me. Also, new hairs are growing now. This is my 2nd bottle. Hair fall decreased immediately and new hair growth is happening now. LOVING THE SERUM!
I've been wondering about the shampoo and conditioner so thanks for making such an informative review!! I have recently been trying to use only fragrance free products for haircare after some pretty extreme scalp irritation and I was wondering if this set would be a good option. have you tried the briegeo be gentle be kind shampoo and conditioner? I was looking at those as well. do you have any fragrance free haircare recommendations?
I wish you didnt chicken out and then used your own conditioner after. The conditioner does work and if you would please be brave and try again with just The Ordinary shampoo and conditioner. Thanks
I have curly hair and I liked the duo, the only thing is that the shampoo would frizz my scalp a bit. Other than that the conditioner was good and my wash day lasted pretty long using these products. I recommend the conditioner maybe not the shampoo, I have yet to pick up the serum, but I plan on it!
I bought the new scalp serum a few days ago and I found it made my hair greasy. It looked like I hadn't washed it. I have short hair mind you and it's fine hair. Not sure if maybe this is too heavy of a product for me.
@Erin Karels Yeah I was going to look into that. I went awhile back but they didn't really give me any help really. I struggle with a very sensitive scalp that breaks out in red like dots and itches like crazy. I have tried everything from non sented product's and a handful of scalp soothing products but no help. Thank you for your advice :)
agree with all your observations on all three products. I have a dry scalp and like the hair serum. already thought it. unlikely to rebuy shampoo and conditioner. will use up shampoo as a clarifying shampoo, and use the conditioner before a richer conditioner to detangle hair
Sulphate free shampoo were not targeted for straight hair that gets greasy, its target market is coily and curly hair as they get dry more easily than straight hair.
Have you tried the Glycoli Acid from the ordinary for scalp treatment?? Seeing many claims it promotes scalp health, just wondering if you have tried yet? Thanks doll
I’m gonna have to start trying stuff from The Ordinary now. I wouldn’t use their shampoo and conditioner on my dry, damaged hair unless I want my split ends, breakage and frizz on FLEEK 😭😭😭 I’m willing to try the scalp serum though.
