How to Fix Hair Breakage- Damaged Hair to Healthy Hair Care Tips.

I’m glad you’re not one of those people who’s like “no heat, no bleaching” because for some of us, that’s not possible. I have hair that really wants to be curly but just can’t seem to cross that bridge so I have to straighten it at least 1 time a week. Anyway, thanks for the tips

Been super down about my hair breakage lately and going to make a much more strict effort to stop with heat styling for awhile, stop tying my hair back so tightly, and maybe even condition throughout the week (I only wash/condition once a week right now) to see it it helps. TIP if you want to prevent additional mechanical breakage, but your hair gets tangled really easily: apply oil or serum to your Jaír before you brush it out! This will make it easier for your hair to detangle, and plus, the product will get distributed throughout your hair as you brush it out!

I only use the shampoo and conditioner because of how expensive it is so I'm gonna switch to Hairitage products which I'm so excited for. I feel like my hair does break pretty easily and it only gets to a certain length then stops growing. So I'm definitely gonna change some things in my routine.

I deal with the tangle super power by mostly doing braids and buns and coconut oiling before washing. I really worry about protein over use. I can't wait for your video. Do you know if certain hair is more susceptible to overdosing on protein. I think a year or so ago that might have been my issue. It's so hard to figure out. A d I have very fine hair so I can't find to much that moisturizes without weighing down. It's a bummer! And heat seems to damage my hair worse than others because of the thinness of it. Thanks age!

Hi Abbey! Love your videos! I gotta say, for all ladies that started bleaching their hair - bleach somehow increases your hair porosity. Having said that, though I have straight hair I tried some conditioners and masks dedicated for curly hair and, DAMN! My hair never looked better. I think that’s because conditioners dedicated to curly hair have a lot of humectants and emollients. If you have bleached hair or damaged hair you need to make sure you have the balance of all. Proteins, emollients and humectants.

You’re hair is so pretty!! Don’t use Olaplex!! It’s horrible because it’s just a silicone attractor. When silicone coats those weak spots, it makes it so nutrients and moisture can’t get to the hair and it causes breakage from the silicone buildup. K18 is a much better product that is silicone free

I've bent dyed my hair and never straighten, blow dry or anything like that and my hair is so damaged and dry. I love humidity though 😭 I also wet it everyday too refresh the curls, do sit in the sun without a hat, don't plait my hair at night and just let the elements destroy it really. So it's definitely not just heat/styling, dying, bleaching. I feel like my hair is and looks more unhealthy than the ladies i know who do all of those things BUT the damage and dryness actually amplify the curls for me personally. Definitely going back on a healing journey, my hair used to be enough to use as a scarf, I want to get it close to that again. ❤❤❤❤❤I started washing my hair once a week a few years back now, and give extra leave in on the middle and ends and my hair is down to the middle of my hind end now and looks much better. I don’t use heat in my hair at all now and let it air dry, one quick squish in the towel and leave it be with some leave in.

HOLY $HIT!! THANK YOU! Just found you. I have been dealing / struggling with tangled hair my whole life and have been trying to find WHAT ON GOD'S GREEN EARTH I NEED TO DO. Even the detanglers (sprays/creams) don't work. So I'm curious about the products you mentioned!! THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!

for sleeping if scrunchy always fall of your braids (or in daily life if it suits you aesthetics) using satin ribbons woven ito the braid helps keep it secure and is less abrassif than hairties, plus it's cute

You really did your research! LOL. I love that you mention water as damage inflicting. A lot of people don't realize that. What I find confusing though, is how do we prevent the damage of washing while keeping the scalp clean? So many people nowadays use the dry shampoos and oils daily to avoid 'washing', but then that leads to buildup of product on the scalp that ends up clogging the follicles! It becomes overwhelming to form a hair strategy while thinking of all of this. LOL. Thanks again - your hair is beautiful!

Haha I sure did! Some of it is inevitable. We have to keep our scalp clean! So for me minimizing exposure to shampoo by washing once a week has been the most helpful

Your videos are great. I'm on the mend of repairing my hair. I had thick, healthy hair about 3 years ago when I wasn't in the sun and ocean so much. Now I spend almost everyday of the summer months at the beach and on the boat. I took hair of my skin, but other then having my "its a 10" in my purse, I really neglected my hair. Since then, this winter I've made a lot of changes to try to repair my hair. I've gotten down to washing twice per week, purchased a satin pillow case, using olaplex 0,3,6,7, and the ordinary oils. Sorry for the long-winded comment. As summer approaches I will soon be in salt water often, so I will have to start washing more along with trying to hydrate my hair and hide it from the sun. Other than a hat and hair masks are there any products you would recommend. You are super knowledgeable, I've learned so much from you! Any tips are appreciated!

Thank you for all your tips and reviews. Hair products is not one size fits all. Just have to find the right product. I have thick and wavy hair. I cant get it to grow longer. It's probably due to breakage. On a mission to find what will work for my hair.

I cannot go a week without washing my hair but what I do is put my hair in a ponytail and just wash the top part of my scalp where I tend to get oily since the rest of my hair can go longer without washing. (I then condition just the ends) It has made a huge difference!

Hi! I love your videos and this one was really great! But you mentioned sitting in the sun and UV rays as being one source of breakage but you never circled back about it with a product that protects against that. I think it would be really helpful to research UV protection for hair that doesn’t weigh it down but really works!

I got my hair bleached and colored platinum blonde for the first time ever last october. I have the typical guy undercut with a quiff haircut. My stylist, Who is also my barber and friend said to me "ok now you have to start really looking after your hair", so I took some of her tips but also started looking for more tips on UA-cam and I found your channel. I started my hair training journey to wash it less and now I'm up to 4 days without washing. My hair has never looked healthier and fuller despite the bleaching, which I kept doing, so I have to thank you for that :) Greetings from Argentina!

Get the Olaplex 3 treatment, mist your hair before applying it and use a lot to saturate your hair. Then I put my hair in a shower cap and use a heat bonnet to help open up the cuticle. I leave it on a few hours before washing it out.

I woke up this morning wanting to ask you (since I've been watching your Channel all week;) great Channel by the way,) if you recommend heat protectant and which one because I always feel like they make my hair sticky and heavy feeling and hard to brush through. I straighten my hair all the time. I have a lot of damage now from bleach and it's gotten worse because of my health issues😥

I had COVID that lasted around 10 days. At first, I believed I was fine until I began to notice a loss of more hair than normal. Following some research, I've come to realize it’s from the stress my body had during that time and also due to the shampoo that I was using. So I began doing yoga and meditation daily and changed my shampoo and conditioner to littleextraa cooconion anti hair fall kit. And today I don't face any hairfall.
Thanks for this video! I'm feeling so much better.

So I started a healthy diet and stress free and getting vitamin d and multivitamins and my hair has been way better and we don’t have balding genes since my dad isn’t bald or my grandpa on my moms side isn’t either but from 6th grade thru 8th I would use heat tools and bad products for my hair to stand up like teasing and dying it so I still dye my hair but for 4 months been healthier and hydrated and it works a well and sleeping early too

Olaplex saved my hair. It’s been a long journey of about 3.5 years of getting my hair back to a healthy condition and is finally growing. I never used to care about whst products I used on my hair And use to swap and change and pick things out from boots all the time ahhh do think if you have bleached hair you need high quality products. How often do you bleach your hair? I have found the main thing which has made my hair healthier is not to bleach it as Often and only do half a head rather than full head each time
