Ive been using the Purology hydrating shampoo/conditioner for about 4 months and decided to try the strength cure about a month ago. omg, i noticed a difference in my hair immediately after the first wash. The B&B leave-in conditioner and oil last a long time and work well with varying types of hair. My hair is so different from Abbey's (coarse, grey, wiry, and wavy) and yet these do well by me. The UV protection has become especially important since the sun can turn my silvers yellowish.

I've been desperately looking for a lightweight oil or conditioner to help with mid-week frizz and detangling, that doesn't weigh down my hair and make it look greasy. I bought JVN shine drops on a whim based on the ingredients (I had never tried anything from the brand before), and I'm lowkey obsessed. It does everything I need and makes my hair shiny, not greasy. It legit feels like magic. It might be an ever so slightly more affordable option than Bumble.

Regarding Apple Cider Vinegar - Sometimes you say to use this before shampoo, in other videos you state to use it after shampoo. I am just wondering what the difference would be. Also, I have been using the Hairitage By Mindy An Apple a Day ACV Hair Rinse since it is so much less expensive than ACV by dpHUE. Wondering if there is much of a difference. Thank you for always sharing and teaching.

    • @Rielsufficiency
      @Rielsufficiency 2 роки тому

I know you were asking Abbey but wanted to mention that ACV should usually be used at the end of your routine to help lower the pH particularly if your products are higher pH. If you use at the beginning it might negatively impact how your shampoo and other products work. Unless a product is specifically designed for before shampoo like the product she mentioned is designed to remove build up which might impact where in the routine it is used.
      Just my two cents 😃😃

You may have discovered this in the 10 months since posting your video, but you can condition your hair after using K18 😊 so wash, apply K18, wait your 4 minutes then condition as normal. It states on the K18 website that it doesn't wash out so hopping back in after your 4minute minimum to condition is fine 😊

    • @WaitingForTheSubway

@@WaitingForTheSubway It says not to condition before you use the K18, and once you have waited the 4 mins it has then penetrated the hair so you aren't rinsing it 😊 so shampoo, rinse, k18, wait 4 mins, pop conditioner straight on, wait however long your conditioner needs then rinse that.

I have only ever used shampoo, conditioner and spray on leave in. My hair is not looking very good now. No body, tangles and thin/fine tending to frizz on ends, just not smooth and silky. I need advice on products but also best way to use.

I tried the Olaplex system and didn't see a change. The moment I changed to Pureology Strength Cure even my hairdresser noticed a huge difference in my hair. I do still use Olaplex number 6 on my ends before blow drying with It's a 10 Leave In. Thanks for sharing. Love your videos!

Does it have a strong smell?

@@DogMommy. imo it doesn’t. A strong smell to me is the Kristen Ess line shampoos and conditioners with fragrance not sure if that helps.

Am I the only one who finds the pureology leave in conditioner too heavy :( I tried using it multiple times after washing my hair and it left my hair stringy and looking oily

Yes I need to some good ideas to put on my hair midweek before I curl with my straightener. I use the Bumble and Bumble Go Big treatment spray before blow drying but not sure what to put on dry hair before I heat style

It would be helpful to include products from the drugstore that are more affordable.

She does those kinds of videos but this one is supposed to be what she would keep if she could only have 10. If none of them are drugstore then that's just the way it is. I prefer her telling us honestly than including something she doesn't actually love.

I guess she could do a drugstore version of this one though. That would be handy.

I read all 1 star reviews on pureology shampoo and most of their complaints is that they experienced hair loss while using it. I'd love to try it but I'm a little concerned about that..

I have used Pureology Strength cure and Olaplex 3 for awhile now. Those are great! I bought a small tube of Curlsmith bond rehab salve and love it! You should try this product. I think it has done a great job of strengthening my fine hair, in addition to the Olaplex. Love your videos!

What is your lipstick color? Also, thoughts on Innersense shampoo and conditioner? I’ll have to try that detangling spray. I LOVE Amika’s “The Wizard” for detangling. It is the best!
