I always love seeing comments like this!! My name is Nicole Mahon and Kevin is my uncle!! Can you tell me any awesome things about him?? Thank you for loving and respecting him!!
Wonderful interview. Thank you. I walked up those stairs in October of 1972, into a new and different world. All I can say is that you can leave the Gramercy, but the Gramercy never leaves you.
Uncle Kevin, my Dad, Pat, your brother, ALWAYS spoke about you like you were everything! You made him and our family so proud!! I grew up watching you and I was always so enamored by YOU! Life wasn’t easy or perfect but we always loved everyone. I remember telling my friends about you and anyone who mentioned “Raging Bull”! I remember as a kid knowing that “We’re Fighting Back” was coming on and I literally had stars in my eyes. You are so much like my Dad, just a good good man. I hope you ALWAYS know that we, especially your brother, talked about you and just how proud he was of YOU!! You look just like him- and just like Bebop!! I traveled the road just like you and Dad. Somehow we always find our way back!! I love you and miss you ❤️Nicki!!
Mr. Mahon mentioned Gramercy boxers such as Bobby Cassidy, Walter Seeley, Bobby O’Brien, Justice Ortiz and Ray Elson. Other Gramercy boxers from that era were Johnny Turner, Chu Chu Malave and Golden Gloves champion Michael Miles.
Thank you I enjoyed that interview.
Kevin is a great human being! Thanks for sharing his story with us!
