Snatch was such a perfect film. The script is so good that i could watch it for the 20th time and it will still have me buckled. Each of the actors really made their character come to life, and it all culminated into one of the most memorable, most quotable movies of all time. Perhaps i'm biased, being British and having such a strong focus on British humor.. but Snatch is both the only British crime and only British comedy movie that will never get old no matter how many times I've seen it.
Truly a benchmark for British cinema, I really cant overstate just how much i love this movie.

A director universe that may or may not be connected is far more exciting. Picking up on little things in Tarantinos films is fun, but the different movies crossing over any more than a small nod here and there, wouldn't add to any of his movies, same as Guys stuff, but almost most certainly restrict the creative process and the end result wouldn't be as good.

Rock'nRolla is suposed to be the 3rd part. Not an actual sequel but, as you said, in the same universe. It has the same style and similar weird characters. But much like Snatch went from the small-time local gangsters of Lock-Stock to the next league with gangs that operate on a higher level, Rock'n'Rolla is set in a city with crime syndicates. And that's why I, personally, consider The Gentlemen to be the 4rth part of this saga, which moved to the highest echolon of criminals (but still with weird and memorable characters down the chain). If he ever makes a 5th one he probably has to do supervillains or space gangsters next ;)

We popped back to London in the early 90's and ended up in an office in Soho watching the showreel used to sell Lock Stock to Polygram...Graham brought that showreel back to HK, but it went missing after he showed it to a few people he thought might be interested in financing it...Graham sadly passed away in 2000. Possibly the saddest day ever losing a mate. He told me so many stories about him and Guy and their school holiday exploits and that one day Guy would be making a movie about all his mates...Guy would tell you that GJ The G-Force would be the dude growing and selling weed from within the fortress...I actually fitted heavy duty grilles on his flat in Hollywood road...such awesome memories flooding back typing this...
