    2 Q: 1)does the Hana 2021 have a longer nozzle than the O2, or is the shell+nozzle identical? and 2) did you actually A/B the Hana 2021 vs. the O2? reason I ask is I have heard others saying they have the same clarity,detail , shine and resolution... that there is no difference at all, whereas you said the Hana 2021 has less resolution , clarity and detail.
    Without any facts, I have assumed that the O2 "version 2" that was discussed in late 2019, and never realized, is in fact the Hana 2021... same shell, same driver, same internal tuning, same sound profile, but slightly longer nozzle to address the fit issues some had with the O2 in mid 2019.

    Thanks for the review, now I know what to get soon. I might either get the Hana or a used Oxygen. I love the sound signature of the T3+ (similar Harman tuning) so upgrading to the Hana / Oxygen makes a lot of sense.

    On dans sound demo the Kato sounded super thin and bright. Only the oxygen sounded bodied. Does the yume lean more towards kato or more towards hana? Also the moondrop variations lacked impact and vocals were too far back and thin. Really trying to find the right iems

Other than that the other purchases since then have been the timeless, yume:midnight, variations and the cheaper stuff like chu's and truthear zero. I have been dailying the Zero's for around 3 months and couldn't be happier. From gaming to music, there's just something about them that I just love over the other stuff in my arsenal.

    Timmy, need your advice, please.
    If I want to get Hana and make it sound similar to Oxygen, will cable or dongle help? And if yes, which one would you recommend? I'll have quite a few cables and DACs in my possession soon, and I just wonder do I need to pay more.
    Or there's really no point and I should better get Oxygen from a get go? Like money isn't problem situation.
    Thank you in advance.

    • @Gizaudio
      @Gizaudio  3 роки тому +1

      I'm not a big believer in cable changing the sound in a any significant way. The Hana 2021 already sound very similar to the Oxygen. If you have original Hana sadly it is too different for any potential fix. For me it's better to get the Oxygen out right rather than spending $179 on Hana, $50+ on cables and etc.

      @@Gizaudio thank you so much, Timmy!
      I'll look for deals then.
      I think like a beginner I probably won't see a big difference between Hana and Oxygen tho, but it's always cool to know how a better IEM sounds like.
      Have you listened to Tanchjim Prism?

  • @jasonbhatnagar7134

    Is it better to upgrade from the moondrop starfield to these, Yume, or the Legacy 5?

    • @Gizaudio
      @Gizaudio  3 роки тому +9

      Depends on what you want.
      Hana 2021: if you want to keep the same signature but more refined in the upper midrange area.
      Yume: If you enjoy a beautiful midrange and vocal performance, this is a must-try and best you can get under $200 regarding those two categories.
      Legacy 5: If you want a versatile warm leaning set that's good at just about anything but doesn't really stand out in any particular area.
      My personal recommendation for Starfield owner is that anything under $200 would not be a big enough upgrade to the Starfiled. I recommend saving up more to get a more noticeable performance differences with IEMs around $300. Especially because you are already considering $250 Legacy 5, saving up a bit more is better. Here are my recommendations.
      Blessing 2 or Blessing 2 Dusk: These two are the best you can get at around $300. The tuning is amazing leading to fantastic vocals, realistic instruments, and overall smooth listening experience with great detail on top of that. This is true $300 benchmark IEMs.
      Tanchjim Oxygen: This is if you want to keep to the signature of Starfield but want the best of you can get out of the signature at under $300
      Hope you find this helpful! :)

      @@Gizaudio Have you tried the Mangird Tea? Some reviewers say they are better than the Blessing 2

    • @Gizaudio
      @Gizaudio  3 роки тому +3

      @@jasonbhatnagar7134 I own the Tea and for me it's not better it's different.
      Tea feels more full and smooth than Blessing 2 while retaining a decent tune and decent level of detail, overall a very versatile set. Bass is smoother on Tea than Blessing as well.
      Blessing 2 is midrange monster, nothing beats it in cheer vocal reproduction and overall detail around $300. Compare to Tea, tea is definitely more relaxing while Blessing 2 is more analytical.
      Both are great, but I personally prefer the Blessing 2 / Blessing 2 Dusk.

    I love your videos man. I am torn between the new Fiio FD3 and the Tanchjin Hana 2021. What’s the major difference between the two. Please be advised that I listen primarily big band and classical orchestras.
    Thank you in advance!!

    • @Gizaudio
      @Gizaudio  3 роки тому +1

      FD3 is warm and bassy, Hana is more clean in the midrange than FD3 and also have more details as well. It depends, if you like a lot of bass and a more relaxing listen than FD3, if you want a slightly cleaner version of that than the Hana 2021.

  • @YannickKhong
    @YannickKhong 3 роки тому +1

    Awesome review Timmy! When you mention less energy on moondrops vs hana2021, you do you also mean that the upper-midrange is less crisp?

    • @Gizaudio
      @Gizaudio  3 роки тому +1

      The moondrop offerings all have a more relaxing upper midrange, faster roll off than the Tanchjim's offering. I would say the Oxygen 100% has more crispiness, the Hana 2021 is not as crispy as Oxygen but crispier than KXXS in that upper midrange region.

    • @Gizaudio
      @Gizaudio  3 роки тому +2

      I would say the upgrade to the Aria would be the KXXS but not my much.. Aria is one of those special IEMs that really is punching above the price. KXXS has more details overall and a tighter more punchy bass response. Hana 2021 is also good option if you want more treble energy.

      @@Gizaudio My arias are great, but I was thinking on upgrading to the kXXS or the hana 2021s for a while, I was thinking hanas because they look more comfortable for sleeping in than the kxxs, and I listen to bassy music, but this music is more highs focused.

    Hi and thanks for your good reviews. I have the first Hana version, and just wanted to warn people that despite sounding awesome (a little too bright for me), these IEMs aren't for everyone's ear. They are small, quite heavy, and have short nozzles, the result is that they will fall out of your ears. If you usually use large ear tips, this is what is likely to happen. I have never been able to find a good fit, it is very frustrating.
