    The Adonis was an interesting pick, you rarely see this IEM be mentioned in audiophile circles.
    Hana 2021 kind of kills everything in the $200 price bracket, a pick Tim missed out on was the JVC HA-FDX1 which is is strong on technicalities and can commonly be found for around $175-200, kind of like a slightly worse B2 for less.

    • @Gizaudio
      @Gizaudio  3 роки тому +5

      QoA as a brand which include Adonis, Vesper, and Pink Lady is generally more popular and talked about in the Japanese IEM circle. Also, I do own JVC HA-FDX1! :D But since MSRP is $270 it was too expensive for this list.

      In regards to the FH3, I've heard it before and a review of it is coming up in the near future. The quick summary is I think it's a very good set, but it doesn't push above what the price is.
      For Under $150, it's competitive, above that it's a bit tougher.

    you're the first that told the true about ikko oh10! i had it for a week and ...yes in someway they are fenomenal....most of all for the buttery informative highs, but the dawnfall for me was the muddy bass and the recessed \ hide mids, you cannot listen to any singer with them. Another downfall is the weight!!! so i sold them, after only a week, and now i'm playing with the moondrop chu , best tuned and great organicity for me also good basses. and i'm waiting for the hzsound heart mirror, but i guess that i won't have back the ikko highs! i miss them, and i imagine that i have to spend a lot more to have that special highs (or better cause for me the ba tymbre it seems synthetic) with a die for voice experience am i right? following your reviews you think the blessing 2 could give me that special highs or i have to go to the oracle.... or clearvoyance ?thanks

    So I got the arias, but i find them lacking energy and having a bit recessed mids for my liking. I would like something as natural sounding as the arias but with more engaging sound and more forward vocals. I have narrowed down my options to hana(afraid of uneven mids and too much treble maybe?) , hana 2021(afraid of having recessed mids like arias because of v) , kato(afraid of recessed mids because of v) and fh3(afraid of unnatural timbre due to BA). Any help with that please, new recommendations under 200 will be appreciated as well?

    • @jakefoxx7978
      @jakefoxx7978 Рік тому

      Well I can say for sure the Kato slap but the fit is odd for my big ears. The ear hooks are also stiff in how they wrap around and I'd imagine it's that way because they're meant for smaller ears or something. The tone/timbre is very natural/realistic especially in regards to any lead instruments, though a very slight hint of smoothness can be heard around 5k-6khz and that at least keeps Thrash metal cymbals from coming through too clashy for the guitars to sing properly. I found vocals to be very gorgeous, and I mostly just pay attention to the instruments but damn do 80s female singers sound good. Drum section feels actively portrayed with a slightly warm attack to the snare drum hits. Bass guitar is especially nice sounding but these aren't basshead iems- just strong and authoritative enough across the low-end to stand out but not screw with the midrange much at all. Cymbals and high-hats are pleasantly delivered though these have a fairly safe amount of air that I wish there was more of. Wish they offered bigger eartips as the spring tips aren't necessarily bad, they just can't keep the buds in my ear when the ear hooks are pulling the buds out. I've tried spinfits cp145 in a large size but my ear canals kept rejecting it, especially my right ear. I did order an extra large version of the spring tips...we'll see- and I got some random DUNU eartips from Amazon coming in tomorrow. For now I can enjoy the Kato as long as I don't use the ear hooks, but of course that's kinda impractical. I'd say there isn't a genre of music they can't handle- just don't expect one little dynamic driver to perfectly pick apart super busy portions in music, but I'd say it still performs notably well in that sense with busy metal or rock tracks. The atmosphere these create is gorgeous, very nice soundstage all things considered. But yeah that's all I can say about them for now.

    Which would you say is the smallest iem? I’m considering one of these: ikko oh10, Hana and the kxxs. I currently have the tin P1 and I love the size but I could use some more bass and I’m looking for something similar in size.

    • @Gizaudio
      @Gizaudio  3 роки тому +1

      They are all about the same size with OH10, KXXS being just slightly bigger than the rest. If we're talking comfort wise, they are all very comfortable to wear. The smallest of the 5 would be the Hana.
      If you want bass OH10 is the best choice. But size wise compare to Tin P1, OH10 is noticeably bigger. Your next best option would be KXXS, but still size is bigger than P1.
      Honestly....I didn't realize how small P1 was until now haha.

      They are completely different sound signature. OH10 is much more of a v-shape with focus on the low and high end while Starfield is more neutral across the board.
