    I've been watching rusty for a few months now, and since my playing and improvising has improved immensely, from using the tiads , fragments of the chords , combining movement to chords within the tonal centers, you can go on forever, up and down the fretboard, like rusty says ,. I knew the neck from years of droning over the pentatonic patterns all over, now with the combination of rusty's lessons it's been an all out unleashing, I find myself taking a single chord , breaking it into the triad , using the chords from that triad and having a lot of fun.....Thank you RUSTY! ...you are the man ! ...my note to all those that watch rusty, if you don't get it, keep watching and you will....

    Hi Rusty,
    I am always amazed at how easy your lessons are to understand.
    The other advantage in your method is that you leave room for the bass player.

I enjoy the little melodies and movements you make on the guitar, and I now have better access to recreating some of them. • @TheWorshipGuitarChannel2
      @TheWorshipGuitarChannel2  8 місяців тому +3

      Thanks a lot Stephen! Arpeggios are just playing the notes of the chord, one at a time. And I was actually doing that some of the time in the lesson. I honestly don’t like to put labels on things. I just look at a triad shape and see what I can do with it. Using it as an arpeggio, double stop or rhythm chord shape. I really do appreciate your question and taking the time to leave a comment! Talk to you soon buddy🙏

I always had an interest in playing lead guitar but over the years I have grown to like playing rhythm more with melodic lines in between. Still very new to me. Hey Rusty, at 6:20 you mention the 9, 11 and 13th. I'm confused because when you say 9, you are on the E which is the Root or 8. When you go the the 11 your on the 9. I'm I correct or am I missing something? Assuming we are in E Major.

    • @TheWorshipGuitarChannel2
      @TheWorshipGuitarChannel2  5 місяців тому +1

      9-11-13 are fret numbers on the G string. So yes, the ninth fret is the root E. Yes the key of E. I’m not calling out any intervals. Just the fret numbers. Thanks for checking out the video.👍

    Rusty, I have a question.
    In your opinion, what is the difference between worship music versus other secular music?
    I know it's just opinion, but what is your take on it?

    • @TheWorshipGuitarChannel2
      @TheWorshipGuitarChannel2  8 місяців тому +4

      First would be that we are worshiping God with music. Second would be that modern worship guitar uses a lot of chord melody and lead Melody. And the third element would be the use of thick reverb and delay in the guitar sound. A lot of ambient guitar sound. But I certainly take a lot of my rock and blues influences and use them when I play at church. Another thing is you don’t hear a lot of big guitar solos in church. The vocals are the primary instrument. Thanks so much for the question my brother! I hope you have an awesome Sunday Jeff.🙏
