Rusty, you are a genius. This is one of the greatest guitar lessons ever for bringing triads to life. Thank you for publishing. You are a gifted teacher.
I'm definitely going to practice what you taught in this video. I've been learning triads, this will be a big help and make learning more fun and musical. Thanks for the great lesson!
Great video Rusty! I am 37, been playing guitar over 20 years and been playing in worship bands for the last 15 years. Still always learning something new!
Really love the melodic sound of this Rusty, step by step I am adding the many tricks you show us and getting better and more musical, thank you very much!
I also really like your 2nd channel here! 👍 I think this lesson helps a lot of guitarists! 🎸 And I really appreciate you using my backing tracks 😁 Thanks buddy ✌️🤗
Great Ideas. I like to think of the triads in relation to the CAGED system. This gives me the option of using the lower or upper strings as needed. Love the bending. Great Lesson Thanks God Bless Bob C.
The caged system is a great way to visualize a fretboard for sure! Thanks so much for the comment, and I appreciate you taking the time to watch my videos Bob! Talk to you soon🙏
There are 2 options here, either a 5-4-1 progression or a 1-7 lower-4 if you count the first chord as a tonic. As a result, you can play G mixolydian will fit like a glove, as you say.
You provide a great foundation!!! 😁. I have been using and sharing your lessons with a number of players. I am hosting jam sessions and am hoping to introduce some of the principles you teach. Where were you 20 years agoing, there is so much catch-up I am doing. Any thoughts on pick control/speed?
@@robertcassell782 thanks so much for taking the time to watch my lessons and for sharing them also! Means a lot! A good muting technique is the key for control and speed for sure! A lot of beginner, intermediate players struggle with this. Controlling the strings, gives us a lot of confidence! Thanks again for your feedback.👍
I'm in Australia, and we have just got home from our Good Friday Festival. There was an excellent message, and we are so blessed to have talented musicians in our church. Then, to add to that, another insiring video. Thank you, Rusty. - Rod
Came across your other channel about 6 months ago or so. I remember saying to my wife, i think this guy has a bible in the background of his videos. Just discovered this wee gem of a channel tonight, and was very pleased I was correct. Glad to see it! God bless
I often wonder how many people notice the Bible in the background. I’m so glad you did! And it’s great to see you here. Thanks so much for checking out my videos.🙏
Wow you just connected the entire fret board without thinking about it . Just picture a bar chord then take a piece of it and create movement with feeling. Awesome rusty!
I’m glad to hear that! Just playing the Notes in a different way! I did go over the minor chord toward the end of the video. But it’s basically the same move just the minor third instead of major third. Which is only three frets up instead of four. Thanks for the comment.🙏
I’m using the Revv G 20 amp set clean and driving it with the Revv tilt overdrive pedal. Also some reverb from the Strymon BigSky and delay from the Strymon Timeline. This is my set up for almost every video. Thanks Rick for checking out my lessons 🙏
@@TheWorshipGuitarChannel2 I've watched some of your videos and can relate to your teaching methods and the information that you're teaching. I have a strong understanding of the minor pentatonic and the wah pedal 🙌🎙do you have any " Triads 101 " videos on your channel that you would suggest? Thank you again Rusty.
Hey Danny, you would just locate the D chord and use the triad shape like I did in the video. The movement I used will work over any major chord in the exact same way. Thanks a lot for checking out the video. Catch you later.🙏
The major pentatonic connects the stuff very well, but you might have to force yourself to strum the chord and then play the triad shape, and then the next chord and so on. Then just play the Triad shapes only over each chord. Then you can start connecting them with the major pentatonic scale. You are working on some fun stuff and you will get this down.
