I confess. When I had 3 seconds to find the Bb on the D string, I couldn't find my guitar.

I never understood why this guy always says "age reveal at 1M subs" in all of his shorts, but one day I randomly wondered how old he was, and realized I couldnt tell if he was 17 or 30. Now it all makes sense.

I initially disliked ur page and went for the more academic seeming ones but I’ve since realized ur info is legitimate and concise while a lot of those guys just ramble for 20 mins and i learn nothing

I learned all my triads by writing out every note of the major scale on a fret board diagram and highlighted roots 3rds and 4ths, and I did this on absolutely every key each on their own sheet of paper. Then I memorized the names of each note of every triad and memorized which was the root and 3rd in every inversion. By proxy I learned where the 5th is by process of elimination and also learned all the notes of the Fretboard as a result. Knowing where the 3rds and 5ths are are obviously useful because you can change a chord to a minor or sus, or diminished. I can do this shit with my fucken eyes closed. Changed my life.

@@user-ko1bg5wg8n It would be pretty hard to do in the comment section but ill try. Get a diagram of the Fretboard board with at least 15 frets and make several photo copies. Pick a key and circle ever note of the major scale all over the Fretboard. If you don't know where they are, it's not hard to figure out. Say you wanna write out G major scale, first locate every G, then circle the whole whole half, whole whole whole half from G. Repeat that process for absolutely every G. You can even go backwards from a G which would be half, whole whole whole half whole. Once you have done that, highlight the Gs , then the 3rd note after it and then the 5th note. Do that all over the fretboard. Now you have a diagram of every single major triad. Those same shapes can be applied to every key (also known as the cage system).
Here is how I memorized every note in each triad.
A - spells ACE but you gotta remember the C is sharp.
B- Big sharp Dam sharp Fork
C- Could End Good
D- Dead sharp Fucken Air
E - Every sharp Good Boy
F- Fake As Cake
G- Good Boys Die.
Note I wrote the word sharp in front of the note that is actually sharp just to make the acronyms make more sense.
I realize my acronyms sound silly and unimaginative but it's what I used to remember it and it worked.

Google Fretboard map. This will show you all the notes on the guitar. Just go through all the notes on all the strings. Try to learn the top two strings first for barre chords :)

I clicked on this video to find out what counting from F would even look like. I never I've been playing (bass) for 25 years and never would have even thought about using F as a reference point.

by doing every note in the circle of 5ths with voicing the note in a drone,
and then in the circle of 4ths.

How do I let it generate automatically?
@@chandanshrestha6289 on the very first box that says select from the 12 key names. Right to the left of the GO button there is a box that says generate list. Make sure to check that box, then press go. That will give you a randomized list of every note.

So what’s the best way to learn the fret board when you mainly play in lower tunings like drop C? Is it what to learn it in that tuning? Or memorize standard and learn to covert it on the fly in your head???

I feel like the first method is how you start to be able to the other method in the first place. When you do the first method, just dont be stupid and ONLY learnt the relationships between the notes but instead where that note is located. I dont think anyone is practicing the first method by only thinking "G, 1 more frets up is A" theyll likely think "3rd fret is G, 2 frets up is A, so A is 5th" Being self taught, i ended up learning like this then using a similar method to learn the notes all across on every string and found it to be pretty straightforward and easy.

A# D# is like calling C B#. Technily correct but no one in the real world calls these notes like that.

I usually use sharps instead of flats but i could find the b flat in 2 seconds. Because there is no b sharp but there is b flat. So A sharp = b flat.

Okay I volunteer to start off by saying there is a right way and a wrong way I do it right you don't. Just saying even if you know something you still might not know anything.
Theres no fast and simple way to do this....but you cant do it free. Do your research...read books...watch videos..put the work in.
