- Every NBA draft has some busts. Sometimes, there's a lot more of them in the same draft class. In this video, we're gonna take a look at some recent draft prospects who are barely hanging on to their NBA careers.

Corliss Williamson was a projected Top 2-3 pick after winning the championship at Arkansas; went back to school and the Rookie Salary Cap was instituted coupled with being exposed a bit his Senior year. Probably lost 40-50 million.
I literally had a communications class with him and sat next to him in said class. He was a let’s say not too smart in an easy class. So when he turned that money down, I wasn’t surprised at all.
I hope it was HIS decision and not his agents...!
I feel bad for Okafor and Noel. They got caught up in that "Process" mess, their careers were damaged being apart of that scene.
And both are having comebacks but yeah that place was bad for both of them

Jamel Watson nerlerns noel is having a spectacular season with okc. great backup to steven adams and he’s a huge key piece to them winning games this season. his career was revived in oklahoma
Yeah and everyone on that draft night thought okafor was going second and dlo was going 3rd if that were the case maybe okafor would’ve been helping the lakers on that title run

That draft was weak tho. When Charlotte didnt get the first pick it was obvious what the NBA did. The fall off from 1 to 2 was amazing.

Well the prize was the 2nd overall pick. They chose to waste their pick on him. Could’ve got lillard or Beal but nope, let’s pick the kid with no jumpshot or offensive game.

I thought he would be all right, he was nba ready physically and his defense was on point. Dude just couldn't get a jump shot, which is something you should be able to improve.
I always remember Dion Waiters regarding a "which is the best backcourt in the East?" Waiters was like "It's Kyrie and I for sure." Then Bradley Beal was like "To be the best backcourt, both players have to start."
I feel for Okafor. Right as he was entering the league, the game absolutely changed and evolved to become entirely 3 point focused. He would have been a beast in a more post focused league.

@LaRue Mathis Clarkson's been in the league long enough where GMs know what his role is. It's a contract year for Clarkson, chances are they'd lose him in FA so trade him to a contender where they need shot creating for a couple late picks with potential. Doesn't seem like a bad idea to me.
All I could remember of Nerlens Noel is how good he was in the rookie showcase of 2k14/13. And I refuse to remember any different

Noel is, at least, a solid rotational player. He may not live up to the hype he had surrounding him when he got into the association, but he will be in the NBA for awhile. The fact he resigned with OKC this off season shows that he is even accepting that role, which will make him better in the long run, because he won't be one of those players that refuses to believe they cant live up to their expectations.

They stacked draft picks to drafted superstars like Joel and Ben. Drafting is a risk in every sports, but the more draft picks you stack, the higher chance you get a superstars player.
Eh, Simmons and Embiid are both way better. I don't think the 76ers are complaining.

He is one of the worst defenders on his position and his offensive game is insanely limited. And basically never the case that he has a positive plus-minus. Don't blame the process, he is simply not an NBA level player on a winning team.

i hate it when people think that scouts are dumb when they think a player will be great but they dont turn out to be because no one can really tell if they'll be great or not and they probably thought the exact same thing as the scouts but for some reason they think that they can just rip on the scouts for making a mistake

Andy, you should make a video about NBA drafts who had potential but got injured (if you haven't already.) I've always wondered what Jabari Parker's career would have been like.
Andy, please make a video on how good James Worthy was as a player...he is hard to evaluate because of the talent he played with. He was great in college and a #1 pick but was never the team leader with Magic and Kareem around. His stats were good but would they have been greater on a crummier team? Or did his stats benefit from having defenders have to worry about the other stars on the team. Somehow nobody has really done a video analysing his career. Would appreciate your thoughts.
