Tyler Herro. I know he just won 6th Man of the Year, but dude just signed a 4yr/$130mil contract. He needs to be the #2 guy behind Jimmy and the Heat need another Finals appearance...which seems unlikely this year
Hey Andy Tyus Jones is pronounce as Tie-us not tee-us. Also Dillion Brooks was injured off and on last year. He’s the Grizzlies best defender but I agree his shot usage rate needs to come down.
@@elizabethgeorge168 I don’t think u have been watching the heat, he’s been playing well.. the problem is Bam, idk why but he’s not playing to his potential for us and seems to have taken a stepback
Russ’ lack of self-awareness is his biggest problem. He refuses to change the way he plays the game. When you’re a part of an organisation like the Lakers who are “championship or bust” every season especially with LeBron on the team, you have to take accountability for your poor performances. Unfortunately, he doesn’t ever do that and his poor play demoralises the rest of his team.
@@AnimeMemesz I don't think he convinced anyone of anything, Lakers just can't get rid if him. No one wants to take on Russ' price tag and give up draft capital on top of that
He has games where he is on fire and those games the Grizz seem almost unbeatable. I think front office probably hopes he can find consistency. There's also not a lot of good defending great scoring 2 guards in the NBA today, so not a lot of options to replace him.
This is Russ' last chance to prove that he can still play. There is a real, legit chance that Westbrook could be out of the league next off-season, whether a trade from the Lakers happens or not. He could legit be the next Allen Iverson with the way his career is winding down. An unwillingness to accept a lesser role plus being oblivious to the fact that they are not what they used to be. With the way the first 3 games have gone, it's not looking promising.
I see Westbrook is the next OKC Thunder Carmelo in the making. He'll realize there's no place for him in the league sooner or later. At least Carmelo adjusted his game and gave himself few more years to play
@@teenoneofyabusiness1424 They are looking the same in terms of how their careers have ended or are ending. I ain't saying 2022 Russ is as talented as prime Iverson or anything like that. Westbrook is going down the same path as AI IMO, which ain't helping his already desperate state.
@@aizen3606 It took Carmelo to literally be out of the league for him to essentially drop the starter ego he had. Same with Dwight on his own diva like attitude when he was younger. Dunno if Westbrook is gonna do that.
Westbrook's game has always been reliant on his physicality and explosiveness. Now he's lost it, his weaknesses are so much more aparent. I don't see him developing a jump shot or increasing his awareness overnight. That makes me think of Vince Carter, who became a really good three point shooter later in his career. But again, I can't imagine Westbrook having the commitment or even self analysis to do something like that.
Westbrook has never been held accountable by anyone over his career. When KD left, he ran the show and his poor care of the basketball(turnovers, forcing shots) was overlooked because casuals have a hard on for triple doubles. His ego is out of control, and you’re right, he doesn’t have the self awareness to understand how to actually play basketball. It was the biggest critique of his game out of college, and he still has the same habits 15 years later. If he slowed down and took care of the basketball, shoot, even if he just dished it out without playing 100 mph and made some off ball cuts, screens, etc, he’d be a good player. But he’s too stupid to understand that, and it doesn’t help that there’s tons of people out there who refuse to believe he is a problem
Jason Kidd would be a far better comparison, IMO. He used to be called "Ason" because he had no jumper, he's a stat-stuffer like Westbrook, and yet he's made his way to the all-time 3 point list. Though I guess he's always had the awareness needed to adapt.
Horrible basketball IQ by Westbrook. Instead of using the clock to their advantage he attempted a jump shot early in the shot clock also there's no Laker players inside the paint for a possible offensive rebound.
Westbrick always had a low basketball iq for an nba point guard. But he has good court vision that allowed him to make good assists but his playmaking and decision making is a clear indication of his low basketball iq
The fact that this channel hasn't reached at least the 1 million subscriber mark is absolutely absurd. I always look forward to Andy's uploads and love what he covers.
It's simply because he's Asian...and I honestly mean that. Not trying to pull the race card or anything but sometimes ya gotta just say it. It is what it is unfortunately. 😓
@@Shaz-Daz I don't think that's the issue. Most likely because he's had the same video style. (Same font, music etc.) There's nothing wrong with having your own style but it just feels so out of date because it's been years and he still has the exact same editing.
It's funny you mentioned it because Andy actually did a video that explain why his percentage went down, apparently the league changed how long players have a break between taking free throws? Something along them lines
Green is overrated, sure but to say he is useless is a reach because he has no problems being support and passing the ball to better players, his defense may had slide over the years but he still puts up real defense none the less, not that fake hustle shit Russ be doing. I'd 100 percent believe if green was swapped with Russ that the Lakers would no doubt get into the playoffs last season at bare min.
Draymond is a glue player. He won't be the best scorer, rebounder, passer, or (in his current age) even the best defender on most teams but he can guard all five positions, be a competent playmaker, and make energy plays that amp up his team. I can't think of any championship aspiring team that doesn't need a player like Draymond. If the critique were of Draymond's antics (the flailing, flopping, technicals/suspensions, etc.), it would be warranted but his play and contributions on the court are undeniable.
@@flyinghawaiian007 Draymond IS they best passer in Golden State and a lot of the offense runs through him. And he is the anchor on defense. Yes he is useless if he's your best player but he is top 3 in the NBA in B-Ball IQ up there with Paul and Lebron, and if you look at analytics he is easily the second most valuable player after Steph. He's unique in that his traditional stats are not impressive, a lot of his passes don't end up being assists but they are great reads that initiate ball movement and lead to great looks for the star shooters.
I think one of the biggest issues with Westbrook rn is just the fact that he starts every season injured. This dates back to his last years in OKC, even his short stints in Houston and Washington. Idk why he continues to do this when you see a player like Dame who took an entire year off to seriously take care of himself, then comes back playing at the same MVP level. I guess there's just levels to committing to greatness. keep on your grind Andy, you inspire me to stay on mine.
That wasn’t Dame’s only reason he sat out. He also sat out because Portland wasn’t gonna be good anyway so he sat out in order for them to do even worse and then they have a better chance in the draft.
I truly believe IF he came off the bench and just steamrolled to the basket 95% of the time and took 12 shots a game, he could be a final piece on any contender including the Lakers but that's a big if 😎.
na if he took 12 shots a game that would be enough for teams to just leave people open because there's no way he's getting open layups and dunks for even a half of that
Great commentary Andy. I was not aware of the Simmons left hand/right hand thing. At least that makes some possible sense of his awkward shot attempts, and his seeming fear of shooting.. He's positively graceful other than that.
I also don't think his play style works in other teams. His poor offensive skills are covered up by the superior shooting of Steph and Klay. Green is a good passer but that's about it on the offensive side
I know his athleticism has declined, but am I the only one who’s noticed he doesn’t appear as conditioned? He was like steph curry, always had great conditioning probably did a lot of cardio but he seems just gassed 24/7. Even in Washington two years ago he had the same energy he had in OKC.
I remember watching a game with russ on the break. He used to be lightning fast from end to end. Now he just seemed to be running super hard but not going anywhere..
I can forgive many of Westbrook’s shortcomings. His lack of basketball IQ is not one of them. He plays with the heart of Allen Iverson and the brain of Ricky Davis.
Why would you force a basketball player to switch hands? Why would it matter? It’s not like it’s baseball where being a lefty pitcher or hitter could possibly give you an advantage.
I remember when I tried to tell people 3-4 years ago that Steph was better than Russ and people swore it was cause of Currys team. They really swore up and down that Russ was better. Now curry got 4 rings and Westbrook bout to be out the league because of his attitude.
Ive been telling people he is trash since his mvp season but getting bounced in the first round or regular season every year while bricking every shot he takes wasnt enough proof apparently
I been saying it about Russ since 2014 never liked his play soon as he got the big head over with KD left because he knew “I’ll never win with this guy” Plus the stat padding triple doubles it’s sickening to watch!!!!
Anthony Davis is the actual problem for the Lakers. It's easy to pile on. Sure Westbrook is bad but a supposed top 10 player in AD is playing like trash.
Russ needs a change of scenery. That's it. If he can't make the adjustment, I can see him go down in the same path as Allen Iverson whose career ended terribly because of the inability to adjust. If I'm Ben Simmons, I would definitely switch to my natural right hand since he is one actually and I've seen evidence of that by seeing pics of him signing autographs using his right hand.
He doesn’t need a change of scenery, he needs to adjust his game and get better in certain areas. He also needs to accept the fact he’s not OKC Russ anymore and be willing to come off the bench, otherwise he definitely will end up like A.I
Westbrook's struggles should not be a surprise to anyone. He has never been a good shooter, and has been terribly inconsistent for the most part of his career. The triple-double, as it is for everyone, is not always indicative of a efficient play. He proved me right when I was telling anyone who wanted to talk about Westbrook, that OKC would be better off with a classic point guard. OKCs record percentage improved the first year he was gone.
Yep, been saying it for years when they were comparing him to Rose. Russ is one of the most athletic and explosive players ever. However, he’s always been a poor shooter, average handles, average basketball IQ, not effective off the ball, and either too stubborn or unable to adapt to the role he needs to play to win.
7:09 As an organization, they can tell Green, "next time we hear about you getting in fights, we're just going to call the police and let them sort it out."
@@matthewbartke4424 Righto! And the way you do that is suspend Draymond. Giving Draymond a slap on the wrist sends a message that as long as we are winning games you as the offended party have to eat shit. Jusk ask Steve Kerr.
I honestly don’t want them to make the playoffs just because of the shit Pat was saying during last year’s playoffs when he was on NBA shows. Talking like he’s some fucking all time great “if I’m on the Lakers, I guarantee they make the playoffs…Lebron’s playing with me, I made the playoffs…ima hold everyone accountable.” Dude is clown and they’re looking like the same Lakers from last year. They need to make some moves or they’re gonna fighting to make the play in lol
Wastebrick needs some time to realize himself have to change his initial role. He’s no longer what he used to be. Here are some examples of players who didn’t realize the decline in themselves. Carmelo Anthony, for example, he was a superstar who could score 30 pts in a game if he wanted to, however, as he aged, he was not able to score in a efficient way and his defense was getting worse as well but he still thought himself a superstar, a team leader. Therefore, he couldn’t receive an offer even a minimum contract. After few seasons of the reflection, he came back to the court with a new mindset and he was willing to play as a role player in the team. Dwight Howard, another example, he’s been to lots of different teams after his failure in Los Angeles. He, however, still won a chip with the Lakers and he actually made a contribution to that lakers’ success. Wastebrick is at the situation where he haven’t known his decline. But I think he is more struggled than Melo and Dwight cuz he can’t hit the jumper and play good defense either.
With the first 3 games of the season , it’s absolutely not very promising for Russell Westbrook but it’s truly going to be his last season in the NBA even with the Lakers for that matter to prove if he’s still got it offensively We all know that he’s not the same player he was in OKC that’s for sure
Thank god someone finally called out Brooks. The number of podcasts I listen to that still praise him is insane to me. And I'm talking smart podcasters too. For some reason they ignore all statistical evidence as long as a player looks like he's playing hard.
I was at that preseason Game when Russell was benched. Saw him leave the game mid 1st qtr and looked pretty frustrated tbh he didn’t seem to be injured.
I think you're a little harsh on Draymond Green's game. It's true his offensive game has deteriorated to at times unplayable on the court, but he's still a great passer, a great screener, and his synergy with Steph and Klay is unmatched. His defense is still superb. Having an effective Green on the court elevates both team offense and defense. The season just started and the Warriors are slacking on defense, as does he, but I expect that to turn around comes mid season. I fully expect him remain in Golden State beyond this season.
No he was always bad. Only the teams he was in were always built around him. Now he's getting older, for sure. But most importantly he plays in a team with no spacing and where he cannot be ball dominant.
Blame all you want you cant just accept the truth the team is trash cant shoot 3s, even they trade westbrook you really think they are good at 3s now? you just blaming 1 person not the whole is one correct to blame
Exactly, it’s not ALL on Russ. Yes, he’s not great fit with this team and he’s been playing poorly BUT there is a whole lot more to why the Lakers aren’t good. It was such a stupid fucking move for them to get him in the first place. When Lebron is your best 3pt shooter, there’s gonna be some problems lmao
hi Andy. nice video as usual. I agree about Dillon Brooks, he should focus on the court and helping his team instead of trash talking or talking in general. Draymond is Draymond, but he was and will always be a solid asset of the Warriors. Regarding Westbrook, he's finally defending!!! If the Lakers have good shooters, Russell should only worry about assists and defense. His ego is legendary, but if he was elsewhere (ie: not in L.A) he would have bounced back very early. Imagine everyone everywhere trash talking you on a daily basis, this will affect you for sure. We are talking about human beings not superman or a robot, so I hope the media and the so called analysts can give him some space and leave him alone. Finally, Simmons didn't arrive at Brooklyn as a top tier shooter, he came as a top defensive point forward. The problem with the Nets is the amazingly low contribution from their bench, check the 5 games stats. Also, the overall defense is .... let's say that I didn't see any proper defense except some efforts from Simmons himself. In addition, Simmons is still adjusting to the system, he has 2 ball dominant teammates in Durant and Kyrie, a underperforming bench and a team playing kind of chaotic basketball. And we should always remember that this guy is a big kid, somehow immature but with an amazing talent. He needs guidance and encouragement, and he hasn't found any yet, and Durant and Kyrie can't help him in this particular issue if you now what I mean. Let's say he is with the Spurs or the Warriors or the Raptors, the system and culture would have helped him to the extreme. But with the Nets, alongside Durant and Kyrie? With the current team? I'm afraid he'll get worse on a daily basis. Anyway, as a summary, Brooks is a liability who needs to shut up and help his team, Aquaman should smack him every now and then to keep him focused. Westbrook needs to lower his ego and neglect everything surrounding that got to his mind and focus on helping the team win, especially that his team is not promising and needs him badly. Simmons requires help, guidance and strong personalities around him or he will crash. Finally, no worries about Draymond or the Warriors, everything will be fine. Thanks Andy, and as always, see you next time with another good video. My Sincere Regards,
Simmons is still doing good, some of the fouls called were really cheap. He is not a scorer even in Philly, i believe everything will improve after 10 games
Russ's biggest issue is his horrible decision making and his unwillingness to change and acknowledge it. Draymond definitely declining but the whole issue was covered pretty well on inside by chuck and them lol. Fights happen all the time, the video was just leaked.
It's kinda poetic to see the Nets crash and burn and having Ben Simmons on this roster is straight karma. The Nets downfall will be a celebration for Houston as they practically OWN Brooklyn's future thanks to that Harden trade. As for Draymond - it's safe to say that without Steph and Klay he's just another guy and the extensions on Poole and Andrew Wiggins pretty much sealed his fate at Golden State - if he wants to stay, he needs to take a huge pay cut and no other team will meet his salary demands. And then, there's Westbrook - a lost cause indeed. The worst of all for the Lakers is that they're stuck with him unless they want to gut their future even further by adding the 2027 and 2029 1st round picks (the only valuable thing the Lakers have apart from LeBron and AD, but even their trade value is sketchy due to age/health) in any trade package involving Westbrook (even if they do it for say Buddy Hield and Myles Turner, they won't win the championship anyway). Thus the Lakers have to concede that this season will be a wash and to wait for the next offseason when Westbrook's contract will be off their books anyway.
This is the first time I’m seeing this lakers clip cuz I refuse to watch any lakers games unless my team plays them….. I’m glad I have not watched one lakers game yet I’d punch my tv watching russ play.
Well for Simmons, that switching from right to left hand it will affect his shooting and all. Just like a pitcher in baseball, you must be pure right/left handed to show the full potential of your arm in pitches
I've been saying since OKC days that Russ isn't a PG. He can't be the one making decisions and controlling the flow. He should be off-ball, running the wing, slashing and cutting. Like how Warriors use Andrew Wiggins. Russ would probably avg more points that way anyway. Too late now tho. Now even Lebron can't reel him in and keep him under control.
Athleticism is always the first thing to go. You see it with every player who uses their athleticism to their advantage, they don't really have any other game, that's the problem with Westbrook. He's never really been a great shooter or player, he was just very athletic and could get away with a lot of those shortcomings because of it. but now that his athleticism is diminished, he's trash.
I do believe Draymond is more valuable then you think just as much as Andre iguadala. Stats aren’t everything there’s a system to everything and he is a very smart person. He definitely benefits the warriors. His teammates all stand for him
Usually I agree with what u say and honestly I still do.. but as long as u can admit that it’s the same thing for Dennis Rodman or even Ben Wallace… they played their roles into the hall of fame and Draymond will do the same
@@ry_an. They don’t need him anymore but they absolutely did in their first championship and those Bulls rosters didn’t need Rodman, they needed a rebounder and were lucky to land Rodman BUT I guarantee they still would have won had they gotten a different a player who grabbed around 10 boards a game.
I don’t understand how Rus been in the league and never developed a Shoot, like In this era you gotta be able to Shoot. Rus is gonna be like Mello a few years ago but he may not get another chance
Draymond is the best passer on the team, and the offense fails to function without him. He takes less 3-point shots than he did earlier in his career, but that's worked out fine. Competing for DPOY in 2022 isn't really a, "step back," either
Sad thing if Russ was humble enough he would try adjust his play style to help the Lakers,(maybe come off the bench)but the dude is too stubborn to try, he'll probably end up playing in China within the next few years lol.
People need to start holding LeBron accountable. He created this team, he wanted Russ, and no one blames him. He gets a pass every time when he's the real reason Lakers are in their current situation
He receives less blame because he was consistently the best player last season. Not because his name is LeBron James. This narrative that he receives special treatment for any reason other than his own play is stupid.
Russell Westbrook's game reading was never that bright early on Durant kept him under lid at OKC, then once Durant left OKC needed a star and focal point so they let him do whatever and built him up. it got to his head and he got totally shown up in Lakers when ball IQ is actually required and there's no one there to cover for him
10:33 i am one of those saying it for years. *He is bricking using the wrong hand.* He mostly layup/shoot on the paint using right. Plus his right hand looks better when shooting the ball compare to that ugly awkwardly bent left elbow.
Okay as a die heart grizzlies fan I agree with what you said about brooks but I also strongly disagree if that makes sense. The grizzlies have a great young core but brooks is what every team needs which is a player that can and will guard and at times stop the other teams best player, look at his stats when brooks guarded curry in the second round last year, look at what he did to d Angelo Russell in the first round, he was averaging over 25 a game during the season against the grizzlies and the grizzlies put brooks on him and Russell had one of the worst playoff performances by an all star point guard in maybe the history of the nba and that was because of brooks. He is a dog and the grizzlies need him, you can’t win without defense and the grizzlies need him and jaren Jackson for that and his offense,it is bad but at the end of the day he isn’t ben simmions a player who is scared to shoot and will run away from the moment, brooks knows he is the 4th guy on offense behind ja,bane, Jackson, but he is aggressive and when he is on the floor with the 3 players I just listed he defers to them, the problem with that is they’re not on the floor often because when one guys comes to the line up another one gets side lined for a month with a nagging injury so he takes more shots. Overall brooks is needed and I am from memphis, we aren’t miami or la or nyc, we won’t get wing defensive minded players to come to memphis for some team friendly deal because the player loves the city or the off the court stuff much like the cities I just named. Brooks wants to be in memphis and small market teams keep players that want to be there and memphis knows we aren’t pulling players away unless we over pay and after chandler parson I am telling you we won’t be doing that ever! Again! Unless we’re extremely desperate. Love the channel I respect your dillion brooks take.
D-Lo isn’t really an all star pg. He’s a very good and skilled pg but he’s only made 1 all star appearance and that was like 5 seasons ago now. I do get what your saying about his defense BUT @Andy Hoops is 100% right about his offense. He shouldn’t be taking the 2nd most shot attempts and should not have the 2nd highest usage. He’s a solid defender but he is not that dude on offense and if he just focuses more on being the defensive anchor and then a 3rd or 4th option on offense who’s looking to make plays for his teammates first, he’ll be more productive and beneficial for them.
@@svk_5104 he isn’t ever going to a all star point in the west he was a all star in the east when he was on the nets very true but he’s still in his prime and these are his numbers last year vs the grizzlies( also I like to add dillion didn’t play in any of these games when he put up these numbers) 31 points per game , 6.8 assist per game and 3.8 rebounds per games in all of the regulars season games vs the grizzlies during last season. Then the playoffs come and dillion guards him for all six game he average 12 points per game,6.7 assist per game and 2.5 rebounds. My point about dillion is during the he looked all nba vs us and during the playoffs it was Timberwolf’s fans that wanted his ass traded after what dillion did to him. Dillion is needed for the grizzlies and I ask this question for anyone that thinks the team will not resign him, who are they going to get to replace him, a guy that does what he does without over paying him? Because dillion is on a team friendly deal now and I have a strong feeling he’ll be on another team friendly deal, if we want someone who so called knows they’re place and role is he taking 4 years 45 million? Or do u think he’s going to tax a small market team that he doesn’t want to go to and make the team pay something more like 3 years 70 million and take away any cap the team would have for players that the team doesn’t own the bird rights of they’re contract. I hear what your saying but as a grizzlies fan I know dillion is wild but he is needed and I speak for myself and some grizzlies fans he is wanted
@@youtubeguy9316 you went on this long rant but it had nothing to do with what I said lol. I never said anything about there being players that could replace what he does for Memphis(although let’s be real if you’re not a top 20 player, you can be replaced)or anything about Memphis not resigning him. On offense, do you think that he should be getting the 2nd most shot attempts and have the 2nd highest usage on the team?
@@svk_5104 you replied to my comment 😂 I stated the facts to show why the grizzlies need him, your coming from this as someone who maybe never paid attention to the grizzlies, I’ve been there since they moved to memphis. Also I explained why he took a lot of shots on the team if you actual read what I wrote, when ja,bane and Jackson are on the floor he defers to them but they have rarely been on the floor at the same time so he ends up taking more shots on the offensive end. if you think dillion shouldn’t be taking the 2nd most shots on the team I agree even though nobody ever said he should be doing that in the first place. Dillion is what he is and he should and will be on the grizzlies unless someone else is willing to take his level of a deal and be on the team which I doubt unless we overpay them
I really hope Draymond does not end up signing a huge offer with the Lakers this off-season it's going to be a another Russ type situation. The worse thing is LeBron keeps pushing for frontoffices to get former stars but he does not understand they haven't aged the same as himself
Thanks Andy. Everyone always on me about draymond greens skill set when I say he’s not a third star just a great ROLE player for defence nothing else and a 8 ppg when klay and Steph was out proves my point
He isn’t anymore but in his prime, he was the perfect third star because he was defensive minded and one of the leagues best defensive player, then on offense he was a perfect facilitator for Steph and Klay. He’s been declining the last couple of years so he’s not at that level anymore but in his prime he was a deserved all star.
@@robbiecomo5953 do you know how stupid that type of argument is? You can literally say that about most players and situations😂. “If MJ doesn’t have Scottie or Rodman,” “if Lebron doesn’t leave for Miami” “if-insert any players name here-doesn’t get hurt” Those arguments don’t mean a single thing.

But you spared Lebron, who first admitted he made the trades, and now he speaks on the team having roster construction problems as if it were not his fault also. Besides, many guys underachieve at his side.
You really brought up Draymond and talked about his scoring as if his career high for a season isn't 14pts which he only did once.... Everyone that watched the games knew he couldn't score consistently he wasn't even scoring much in college.... Crazy thing is at the time of you posting this he is shooting 64% which is a career high ft% is 83 which is the highest it ever been and averaging close to 10pts a game which he has only done 3 or 4 times in his entire career....
I thought it was LeBron who wanted Westbrook as his teammate. Careful who you wish for. Maybe LeBron signed the extension as penance. Westbrook's playing days are over, he and the other Lakers don't realize it yet.
Draymond is the greatest scam artist in NBA history. Benefited from luck unlike any player in NBA history. Just happened to get drafted into playing with the two greatest shooters in NBA history. Would’ve been out of the league 5 years ago if he had played for any other team.
Dylan Brooks and Draymond Green are not important because they are talented superstars! they have a great value as enforcers and leaders! game changers they are like what Rodman use to be for the bulls, you can't look at their stats and simply get rid of them, they have other ways to contribute

Don't dare compare this clown to A.i
No Russ NO 😂😂😂
@@teenoneofyabusiness1424 They are looking the same in terms of how their careers have ended or are ending.
Vince has always been a shooter compared to his peers even in his earlier days
Vince Carter was always a good shooter though. He had numerous seasons where he shot over 40% from the 3 point line from very early on his career.
Jason Kidd would be a far better comparison, IMO. He used to be called "Ason" because he had no jumper, he's a stat-stuffer like Westbrook, and yet he's made his way to the all-time 3 point list. Though I guess he's always had the awareness needed to adapt.
Pop pop’s 😅p
Horrible basketball IQ by Westbrook. Instead of using the clock to their advantage he attempted a jump shot early in the shot clock also there's no Laker players inside the paint for a possible offensive rebound.
his confidence and his abilities are no longer on parallel trajectories..
Westbrick always had a low basketball iq for an nba point guard. But he has good court vision that allowed him to make good assists but his playmaking and decision making is a clear indication of his low basketball iq

Sad thing about it. Westbrook had a nice mid range & made his free throws and layups. He really declined smh
They forget that his pull up from the foul line was money in OKC and he actually was making free throws
His efficiency was always something to be desired 😅
He would run full speed at the rim and somehow pull up on a dime and make it. Smh.
It's funny you mentioned it because Andy actually did a video that explain why his percentage went down, apparently the league changed how long players have a break between taking free throws? Something along them lines

Ben Simmons Exploded 4 pts Sighs 😤 6 fouls😂😂😂😂😂 That Was Savage😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

Green is overrated, sure but to say he is useless is a reach because he has no problems being support and passing the ball to better players, his defense may had slide over the years but he still puts up real defense none the less, not that fake hustle shit Russ be doing. I'd 100 percent believe if green was swapped with Russ that the Lakers would no doubt get into the playoffs last season at bare min.
He said useless if not surrounded by stars. Which is true.
@@dallastexas5653 Well, yeah. 90% of the league is useless if they don't have a star to help them. The other 10% are stars.
Draymond Having 4 rings and still overrated? Haha
Fax cause he always looks better mid season when he’s healed.
@@kennethsantana7242 he's no good healed injured or whatever he's done he's not a team player
I agree but at that point he has to make the shots or atleast half
na if he took 12 shots a game that would be enough for teams to just leave people open because there's no way he's getting open layups and dunks for even a half of that
Great commentary Andy. I was not aware of the Simmons left hand/right hand thing. At least that makes some possible sense of his awkward shot attempts, and his seeming fear of shooting.. He's positively graceful other than that.
Mans really said Teeus Jones😂
Even without that punch, it would have been stupid for the Warriors to extend Draymond Green since his playstyle will *NOT* age well.
I also don't think his play style works in other teams. His poor offensive skills are covered up by the superior shooting of Steph and Klay. Green is a good passer but that's about it on the offensive side
@@elizabethgeorge168 yes, he's like ben simmons but instead of not trying to score he misses
I know his athleticism has declined, but am I the only one who’s noticed he doesn’t appear as conditioned? He was like steph curry, always had great conditioning probably did a lot of cardio but he seems just gassed 24/7. Even in Washington two years ago he had the same energy he had in OKC.

Russell is trying but his body and confidence says otherwise.. Westbrook will be out of the league next season cause he can't keep up..
I can forgive many of Westbrook’s shortcomings. His lack of basketball IQ is not one of them. He plays with the heart of Allen Iverson and the brain of Ricky Davis.
lol
😂😂
8:33 “tee-us jones”😂😂 love you Andy😂
Lol I was looking for this comment 😆
Why would you force a basketball player to switch hands? Why would it matter? It’s not like it’s baseball where being a lefty pitcher or hitter could possibly give you an advantage.
I remember when I tried to tell people 3-4 years ago that Steph was better than Russ and people swore it was cause of Currys team. They really swore up and down that Russ was better. Now curry got 4 rings and Westbrook bout to be out the league because of his attitude.
If he could shoot he would be just fine. His shot is wack.
Same
Cud easily say 'if' Steph had his athleticism, works both ways.
The fucking "down on his luck" blues music killing me! LMMFAO 💀💀
Anthony Davis is the actual problem for the Lakers. It's easy to pile on. Sure Westbrook is bad but a supposed top 10 player in AD is playing like trash.
The trumpets in the beginning of Andy’s Videos and “*sigh* alrigh i didn’t wanna make this video” are the most iconic sounds in YT basketball😂😂
This is Russ' 4th different team. At this point its on him
He doesn’t need a change of scenery, he needs to adjust his game and get better in certain areas.
This..

I honestly don’t want them to make the playoffs just because of the shit Pat was saying during last year’s playoffs when he was on NBA shows. Draymond Green would have been the perfect player the Nets needed!
Too bad he can’t get along with KD tho…
Westbeast
With the first 3 games of the season , it’s absolutely not very promising for Russell Westbrook but it’s truly going to be his last season in the NBA even with the Lakers for that matter to prove if he’s still got it offensively
We all know that he’s not the same player he was in OKC that’s for sure

@@chi-town6305 I didn't say he couldn't, bro.

I realized dreymond was a system player his entire career. He wouldn’t be a hall of famer on a bad team. Without Steph and klay he looked awful
Bruh who is Tea-Us Jones???
hi Andy. nice video as usual.
Russ’s downfall will be worse than AI’s

He's great cutting and slashing but rarely do so off ball, he just sit in the perimeter instead of moving

The "no russ no" will be on the internet forever. This guy literally thinks he's like Jordan out there, and he's just not anymore
Yeh Dillion Brooks doesn't exactly stand out the way that Russ or Draymond do but he is still kind of a wild card 🤔
Dillion is what he is and he should and will be on the grizzlies unless someone else is willing to take his level of a deal and be on the team which I doubt unless we overpay them
Draymond Green want Max Contract Extension 🤣😂🤣
I really hope Draymond does not end up signing a huge offer with the Lakers this off-season it's going to be a another Russ type situation. The worse thing is LeBron keeps pushing for frontoffices to get former stars but he does not understand they haven't aged the same as himself
Personally, I'd love that. Nothing better than watching the Lakers front office make fools of themselves.
Nice. Also make the points or shut it. It is hard but true. Like the power of $. You can scream all you want, but $ is oil exchange currency thus boss
@@svk_5104 still if he went to any other team he wouldn’t be where he is chip wise and stuff so
the warriors were completely hopeless when draymond was out. they need him in their system.
@@svk_5104 no what’s I saying is draymond can’t win without klay and Steph and klay and Steph can win without draymond. Get over it draymond becoming irrelevant. And after punching his teammate I bet his ass gets booted off of the warriors
Btw the ty in Tyus Jones is pronounced like it is in Tyler
Lol who's tea-us Jones?
Thanks for speaking truth on Draymond Green. Triple single will be a declining defense guy on another team next year, and nothing more (if he leaves).
But you spared Lebron, who first admitted he made the trades, and now he speaks on the team having roster construction problems as if it were not his fault also. Besides, many guys underachieve at his side.
Thanks for watching 🔝🔝

You have just won a gift🎁🎁🎁...
I just don’t get how u make the NBA and ur basketball IQ is comparable to the bum at the local park who plays with the kids… like HOW!?!?
Draymond is the greatest scam artist in NBA history. Benefited from luck unlike any player in NBA history. Just happened to get drafted into playing with the two greatest shooters in NBA history. Would’ve been out of the league 5 years ago if he had played for any other team.
Dylan Brooks and Draymond Green are not important because they are talented superstars! they have a great value as enforcers and leaders! game changers they are like what Rodman use to be for the bulls, you can't look at their stats and simply get rid of them, they have other ways to contribute
You can't change someone's _Ego_ unless life humbles you *BIG TIME*
Na that Draymond-Jordan picture crazy 😂
Simmons all the hype around him I never understood
To think they traded Kuzma for Russell Westbrook
