- Nothing is going as planned today... Issues with the water heater in the barn. Merger broke before we could finish the field. Only got part of the peas and oats off. But, on a good note, Sydney turned 22 years old and at the end of the day we ate cake. :)

So sorry for your loss of Chloe. My best friend recently had to put an 11+ year old dog down, so hard on him & the Family😥. Happy 22nd Birthday to Sydney! He's such a handy, hard worker! Boy they sure don't make literally anything like they used to!! An only 3 year old water heater already shot, ugh. Major household appliances are the same. "Maybe" will get 5 to 10 years out of them. Old ones used to last 20+ years easily. It figures that industrial hot water heater is "just" out of the warranty period too. McKenzie sure seems to enjoy driving the tandem truck, grins from ear to ear! Hopefully you can continue with NO more issues, problems or breakdowns now for a good long time!

@@12345NoNamesLeft And that's your opinion. Fact is I'm still alive. I've seem a whole lot of people go see a doctor when they were sick. The ones that the doctor didn't kill are a lot worse off than I am.
Master plumber here, 40 yrs., not trying to rain on your parade, but be very, very careful working on hot water heaters,boilers, ect. Make sure you know exacly what your doing, and operation of unit, because they can be very dangerous, farm looks good

As a retired truck driver, I love the sound of a diesel working! You ladies do a fine job of driving. Remember, loud pipes save lives!! Farm kids are lucky to get all the experience and knowledge it takes to make a farm work.

Sorry for the loss of your dog. Water heater looked pretty rusty inside. A water softener would make the water heater last much longer. You can also change the anode inside the water heater. I used to get about 5 years out of a water heater. Then I got a softener and changed the anode periodically. My current water heater is pushing 20 years old. Just a thought. You have a great family.

You,re still lovely even with the Pink Eye if that water heater is only two years old I would contact the manufactor and explain the problem and they may exchange it for you thats a defective heater....

My folks used boric acid mixed with water when we were kids for pink eye. These days I use a multi purpose solution, for contacts. It has boric acid in it. Hot wash cloth compress works well too.

And they seemed to get better and better the longer we got into the video, seems that your treatment worked good..and btw I love the sound of your old red truck, the turbo scream of it is a song I never will grow tired of
I also keep my thumbs that the heater will not cost to much to get working, heating water to the cows is important for the girls, and its sure a lot nicer to have warm water and not cold
Had that happening when I was a teen on the farm, we had to heat water by boiling over a fire, that was a crazy adventure for sure, will never forget it doing it in the middle of a snowstorm :D
P.S the dislikes is the cows that didnt get fresh grass delivered to their bellys :D

My boss just bought a hood for a 8130 John Deere that cost almost as much as a new water heater then lol it’s crazy how much the cost of everything has went up

I hope your eye gets better soon Ronda, I had an eye infection once and the doctor prescribed a cream to put on the eye lid, it had the same ingrediants as a milking cow mastitis tube

Growing up we used Boric acid for pink eye, you have to mix with water to make an eye wash.

Sorry about the loss of your dog. I have had two dogs to become suddenly paralysed like that, and both times it was a tick along their spine. I pulled the tick off and they recovered within minutes

Happy birthday Sydney! Very sorry for your loss Ronda and family.. it hurts losing a pet. Lousy about the hot water heater, isn’t that the way it goes, very shortly after the warranty runs out something goes wrong. I’ve always wondered if the engineers designed it that way at times lol.. The good thing is time changes everything. If I don’t like the way things are going I always notice as time passes nothing stays the same.
I have to add, your daughter ROCKS at shifting that truck, and seems to enjoy it !

Hope that eye heals. Water heaters these days are not made very well. We've had 2 or 3 go bad in a vary short time. We have had ionic rods inserted to help stop the corrosion from inside. Those rods have to be replaced periodically. Also flushing the heater out every month also helps
