Seeing Roger Clark hold that colt and spinning it is the best thing I’ve seen today

I always knew he’d have a weapon with him

@@wadewyatt2408 fav horse is the white Arabian that you can tame in story mode in the snowy area and idk what’s Arthur’s first horse in the story
''You sir are a fish'' Arthur Morgan - 1899
its such a good line I have it tattood on my leg lol
You know back before he ate the president, my daddy was a fish.

@@uglen7420yeah it is. You're just bitter. Don't shit on other people's fun
Doesn't John say that as well? Haha
The talking to everybody in Saint Denis to increase the honor was actually fantastic lmao
It genuinely impresses me how much "gamer" knowledge Roger Clarke has. I understand that it's his biggest project but at the end of the day, he's an actor. Throughout all interviews regarding the game he shows a very good understanding of mechanics as well, not just the story. I think that's pretty cool
It doesn't increase it though

Its honestly the easiest way to get your honor up 😂😂😂
Me too, im creased here🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
The way Arthur says "sure" is probably my favorite line in the game; the drunken "I'm an American!" when running and stumbling over a fence at the end of the night out with Lenny is a close second.
"You'll neva take me aliiiiiiiivvvveee!"
“Life, Liberty and the pursuit of happineeeess!”
I actually prefer the scene when you don't make it over the fence. LENNY: "That was a quiet drink?" ARTHUR: "The first one was pretty quiet."
@@ChocolatePiazza You can make it over the fence?! I've played through eight times and never made it over. I thought it was a fixed script to get caught.

It's kinda wholesome even though its been how many years now? Five six years since released. And yet he still has that spark in his eyes everytime he talks about rdr2
Don't we all? 😅
@rip.van.winkle_ fully agreed on this. Years later and 3 playthroughs later, I'm still in love with this game.
@@marko9695 GTA wishes it had this kind of shelf life. I'd argue RDR2 is the BEST game Rockstar ever made.

Roger Clark really created one of the most iconic game characters in history and he still has the passion for it and he is actively engaging with the community! That's so wholesome and that's why his honor will always stay on high.
I could see you playing a medieval knight, maybe even King Arthur
@@michaelhagerman187 it'd be funnier if they made a joke out of it, have roger playing a different character that's also the narrator and he says something like "and that man is king arthur, but that's not me, i'm one of his knights {insert character name here}"
its crazy how even 6 years later the rdr2 fanbase is still alive and popping, i mean tbh its probably my favorite game ever.
Best game ever
Me too, friend 🤠👍
If only Rockstar Games would love their fans and provide proper content for such a dedicated fan base…
Just started playing the game a week ago this is neat
What’s tbh?
Somehow Roger Clark looks more and more like Arthur even tho he is older than Arthur ever had the chance to be. If we ever get a life action adaptation I hope they‘ll cast him. But even without a movie/series I‘m happy I‘d the chance to play such a masterpiece.
If he ages a bit more, he can just dye his beard and he'll look exactly like Arthur Morgan
But take the fact that when Roger acts Arthur and works on early RDR project (which was right after they finish GTA 5) was around his mid 30s, so in fact in that time he looks like Arthur 😀😀
@@rip.van.winkle_And get more in shape 😂
Agreed haha, when the game came out i thought he looked not much like arthur really, but as the years gone on, his resemblance has become closer as hes gotten older i swear haha
I love how roger Clark has actually extensively played through the game himself. Seems like lots of actors like him never get that engulfed in the game they worked on.
@JohnDoe77099 i didnt know that!! Thanks for sharing that and thanks for him for telling us as well
glad hes so in touch with the community
Fair play to him. When he gets bored he can just act Arthur Morgan and be loved
I also love his explanation of Arthur's accent - he literally travels all across America, so it makes sense when his accent has random southern drawls or sounds like he could be from anywhere in America
That revolver spin at 0:50 was clean
I didnt expect Roger to reference greeting everyone in Saint Denis to gain max honor. That was hilarious.
I haven't played RDR2 since my mom passed in April. She loved watching me playing that and GTA story mode. She was amazing. And no words can even begin to shape that.

“I have no idea. And even if I did know I would tell you I had no idea.” He definitely knows something
I felt that, too!
Doubt it
Unfortunately he definitely doesn't, just like the actors of GTA 5 knew nothing about GTA 6. Arthur Morgan is gone and wouldn't show up in any sequels so there is no way he would know anything.
after 6 years we still get interviews about Red dead redemption 2 , such a masterpiece.
Roger Clark: how do you motion capture fat, skinny, normal Arthur?
Normal duh
@Gasen-gf6pw why did you have to say duh? Does it make you feel better to be condescending to strangers who like the same games as you?
He must be skinny in 2013 right?

For anyone who isn't aware of it, I'd highly recommend checking out Roger Clark's audiobook narration for Tore C. Olsson's recently released Red Dead's History: A Video Game, an Obsession, and America's Violent Past.
It's a great book on its own, but his clear and genuine love and passion for the subject really elevates the experience.
He records Audiobooks!? My respect for him has just doubled from that!
@@BLET_55artem55 same, I had no idea! my own mother is a professional audiobook narrator, so I know how much time and effort goes into even just one book, it's crazy. Roger is really such a cool guy.

Whoa I never knew Sean actually has dialogue about the proper pronunciation for Colom, that’s wild
The weird thing, imo is the way Arthur's character for the most part, is an open-minded guy. I feel him sayin it wrong, then learning how to say properly from sean would have made a lot of sense.
@@Markus-br5zh Would be funny if Arthur started saying it the right way if you experience that scene with Sean, but if you miss it he would keep saying it wrong.
Man, I love Roger Clark. You can tell from the way he talks about the game and his time playing Arthur Morgan, as well as from how much he knows about it, that he really loved Red Dead Redemption 2 and playing Arthur Morgan. You know he actually played the game multiple times and maybe even watched UA-cam videos about it. Sometimes I doubt if the actors have actually played the games they're in, but Roger Clark definitely has and that makes him even cooler.
Honestly? RDR2 is already so cinematic and captivating that I don’t think a film could do it justice. Not to say that it would be bad by any means, but I genuinely do not think a film can match or surpass what the game did in terms of storytelling. The first game perhaps, but certainly not the second
i thought about how awesome an RDR2 movie would be, but then i came to the same conclusion which is that, it doesn't matter how incredible of a movie you can create, there is absolutely no way it comes close with the storytelling potential in a game, which can take both the good parts of a movie and the good parts of an interactive game and combine them into one. rdr2 is one of the only games that reaches that potential.
I always thought it would make a great HBO show
Roger is the gift that keeps on giving. Love these vids
12:49 how he's trying to piss off Ned Luke😂

I've been playing rdr2 since release, got 5 playthoughs, all with every side quests and as much time spent looking around for dialogues and lore elements. Learnt today about Colm being pronounced "Colom" and Sean suing Kieran for saying it wrong. Amazing.
12:49 Ned Luke better respond to this
It's true tho
Even Ned would agree
@@gracelynnblack Fr
R* VA beef, I'm on it!
I could swear I've seen a recent thing where Ned says that Arthur's Dead Eye is cooler than his.
Do NOT make a film adaptation. The game’s more than enough of a cinematic experience, exceedingly so. You’re basically in that movie. It’s one of the games that made me *really* look at video games as the natural evolution of film perhaps as it’s interactive and true immersive media.
Besides, there’s a already a treasure trove, a whole history, of western films that RDR series was inspired by.
100% Agree
they would make arthur g@y if that happened lol , and a lot of sjw stuff
I think I heard somewhere where rockstar said they’ll never do film adaptations for their games because they wouldn’t have any control over the movie. I’m not sure if this is true though.
And I truly do not believe anyone else can play Arthur, John, Dutch, or Micah the way their actor’s did
@@Idkwhatmynameshouldbe662 You mean actors, not voice actors
5:05 for me it's in one of the last missions when arthur begs dutch to help abigail, but micah manipulates him into not caring. after so many playthroughs through the years that moment is one of the few that still makes me tear up to even think about. his last father figure is betraying the people he preached to about loyalty and salvation and his own son is begging him, on the verge on tears and his father is ignoring him.
11:06 "but now.. i'm afraid"
He is so knowledgeable of RDR.This proofs he put his heart into this game.Love the man.
This man broke my heart and made me a better man I stop doing dumb shit in my life thanks to the character he gave voice too and I'm forever grateful Mr Clark
the moment Roger spin the gun, i had a little freak out
I adore that Roger still loves this game and is very involved with it. I thought it was kind of a shame the way Trevor Phillips voice actor got tired of it.
I love how he keeps doing these interviews
Roger Clark himself should play the live action version of Arthur Morgan if it were to ever happen. He is quite literally the embodiment of Arthur and his looks is spot on as arthur
This, I think they should bring back as many actors as they can to reprise their characters on whoever they bring back. I cant really imagine ANYONE being Arthur, Dutch, or especially John.
Danny DeVito or we riot 12:27
Had me rolling
i opened the comments while watching the video at this exact second
Hells yes Danny devito ❤
Fun fact: in uncharted, they did reference the OG actor Nathan drake, which was pretty funny
Made me wished they had just stuck with Uncle nolan as Nathan
I love how well versed he is in the actual gameplay. Not many VA’s would know to spam greeting people in saint dennis to recover honor 🔥
0:44 Micah's holsters are more historically accurate thanthe ones arthur/John wears
No they’re both equally similar choices availible at the time
Micah uses what's called a cavalry draw, which was used by cavalrymen for using their gun in their off hand and their saber in their strong hand. In the real world it would be more likely the holsters would be more square on the hip and facing down because its much more comfortable when walking and on horse back and less likely to fall out of the holster. But, for a competition shooter or a gunfighter the front part of the leg is quicker to draw from and easier to re-holster.

That whole conversation between Arthur and rains fall was a heart breaking slap from nowhere. He had a child that he never ever mentioned til that point. So sad
8:03 it could go either way of course, but that's a really cool way of revealing something without revealing something.
It's way too funny😂
It's crazy these videos are coming out now, I just picked up this game for the first time, and I fell in love with it.
I love how red dead still live after all this time it amazing how voice actors still talk about after this time it nice
7:30 I literally was going to Saint Denis to do that while watching this😂😂
The ending where you go back for the money is badass. Arthur leads dutch and micah away from john as well as the pinkertons to go get the money for john. Arthur even calls out for micah taunting him.
That ending for me was the best, it’s more realistic seeming that dutch and micah are money hungry and arthur knows that. He put himself on the line and sacrifices himself so that john can slip away before anyone notices.
I like High Honor Helping John the most too but man Low Honor Return For The Money has the best acting of all the endings and the way the music kicks in when Dutch realizes he's messed up... So good.
7:35 couldn’t help but laugh that he knows players do this😂😂😂
Roger, I want u to play as Arthur Morgan if a movie or series adaptation of RDR 2 is ever made! Please, you are my Arthur, nobody can replace you! U r the only guy who can play your own role, and that is what I long for to ❤
"Danny Devito or we riot." LOOOL, Imagine though. That'd be chaotic, Danny as Arthur Morgan 😂
I love when a voice actor/ actor seems to really enjoy what they have helped made...

“Danny DeVito or we riot”
Danny DeVito: “so anyway, I started blasting…”
8:04 guys i think he has an idea
He has
That is a such an amazing point. People don’t realise how in depth the voice actors are in the character they’re playing. They actually become the character that we love. Whereas actual actors can never achieve that intimacy with those characters when they are adapted in a show or movie.
2:30 Wait isn't John Wayne the Lumbago guy?

Such a legend. Gosh, I wish we could have another Red Dead game. I wouldn't feel ripped off AT ALL, if they used all the same mechanics, maps, textures etc, and just recorded new lines and missions for the RDR2 architecture for a RDR3 release. Would be so awesome

Going to Saint Denis and saying hello to everybody was just too relatable🤣🤣🤣
I love this, this level of enthusiasm for games years after is increasingly rare. Its a real testament to Roger's performance and Rockstar's hard work that theres still so much love for this game.
Movie magic Roger, they could make you look younger, THERE'S ONLY ONE ARTHUR MORGAN, and that's you Roger Clark, the same with Dutch, John and the eternal rat Micah, also the female voice actors, Mary Beth, Abigail, Sadie, literally everyone should be on the cast for an upcoming movie(WHICH I HOPE IS COMING!)
Movie magic Roger, you already know it from the game development and all motion capture scenes you did, IT CAN BE DONE!❤❤❤

After this, can you make video about michael franseze review gta IV and the godfather games?
Now that he mentioned it, I genuinely believe that playing as a Sheriff or maybe even a Pinkerton would be cool. Be on the other side for once, trying to catch the leader of a big gang that's going around doing horrible things. Maybe have a similar approach like the honor system. The decisions you make and what route you take towards trying to catch him. Perhaps a crazy plot twist where you are a former member trying to bring the whole gang to justice etc.
I’m dead Pa Pa? 😢 4:55
I was a 42yo man BALLING MY EYES OUT during Arthur's final ride.
14:39 HOLY SHIT!

Damn I'm still feeling his voice under my skin. Thank you so much for such a performance
Roger Clark is literally Arthur Morgan in real life too
I’m just so happy that he enjoyed working on this game and is able to share his experience. We rarely ever see any other mo cap or voice actors sharing their experiences. This truly shows that rockstar payed them well and gave them purpose for their characters

What was the funniest scene that you motion captured in RDR2?
I think an underrated line from Arthur is when he tells Mary "because I'm the best you know at frightening decent people" it goes to show how much he hates this life and wants out but can't find a way out
And by the time he does it's too late
