I've been using ali express for years to import my phones from China. I've been able to get flagship experience devices for a quarter of the price that apple and Samsung are selling their phones for.
Where are you from? and have you paid any custom duties? that's the only thing blocking me from buying..i heard some people paying insane amount to clear their phones out
@@moncef2466me too
@@moncef2466 Ask the seller before hand to state the price lower so you don't pay charges
thanks, this was helpful!
Glad to hear!
Jumping into this video for my 25th podcast today
Nice review.
The list is changed?
Always good to repeat the good word as part of my 15th video of my Hump Day Average Dadathon!
i really wanna import the new xiaomi 14 pro from them, but im nervous they offer 3-5 days delivery im in the us..phoenix arizona🤷🏾♂️
Did not know about the warranty being pointless when imported 😮
But if there is a problem with your tablet - you have to pay like 70 euris to ship it to them which sucks
I have a question when Samsung phone arrives do I have to install google play ect and change Chinese things??? or just set up the language and insert the SIM?
Can all those importers you mentioned import global versions of phones, for better English localization?
Especially when it comes to importing Vivo phones.
Can you post the link to your Vivo notification setup video please- cheers
I will be listing a full set up video on the Vivo C Note tomorrow 👍
I have a OnePlus Ace 2 pro I just started using but I am worried about region lock. Has anyone had their Chinese phone locked ?
Hello sir can you help me please please update issues with honor magic 4 pro global device not get any updates
Me worried about the import duty and vat on a 400 mobile the tank 3 it is only available in china from the manufacturer 25gb ram 1tb rom plus 1tb tf card version.
Can I import to Poland
Does anyone know if the Poco F5 works on AT&T 🤔
Going through all your videos to get the best idea before making the plunge!
Have fun!
Vivo X Fold 3 standard!! do it!
@@AverageDadOfficial I'm definitely leaning towards the pro as water resistance is a big thing for me as well as the camera because I take a lot of photos on my phone for work.
Just wondering if it's an upgrade over the pixel 6 Pro the cameras? If it is then I think I'll make the splash!
I'm in Sydney, Australia and sadly enough, only Samsung's Z fold series are available in Australia as fordable smartphones.
I have been thinking of getting Vivo x fold 2. Can you suggest a reliable site to buy it and any idea about custom charges in Australia?
Thanks.😊
wonda mobile. link in most of my videos 👍
My best ever phone was the Huawei P30 pro, too bad the US can't compete with them and ban it
Nice video mate, thanks. I was just about to pull the trigger on a Find N2 Fold (from Wonda) but I heard phones with Chinese ROM and Google Play Services DON'T have Google assistant. Is this true? Thanks mate.
Hey, thanks for watching!
Google Assistant works in a couple of ways put not as you might be used to... you can add the Google widget to your home screen, this includes the Google assistant button. you can also download 'OK google commands' from the playstore.
Hope this helps.
Thanks mate, that's a great help. I wanted the N1 but held out due to the China only thing. Waited a year for the N2 and they did it again!! I'm in 2 minds, might just get it as I'll have it for 2 years and I'm sure there will be plenty more workarounds or even a Global \ custom ROM in that time 🤞
Hey! Thank you for the video. Do you happen to know how would the experience of buying from Giztop to France or Portugal be? I'd like to purchase a Xiaomi 13 but I can only find it on Giztop, which isn't your best choice in terms of free-tax shipping.
I have ordered a Mi 9 Lite which was around €200 tops to France from Aliexpress back in 2019 and had no issues at all. It shipped fast (less than 2 weeks iirc), no issues at all with customs, I just don't know how it is nowadays.
Xiaomi 13 256GB is around €530 on Giztop and I can't find anywhere with a similar price. Do you also have any suggestions for european online stores to buy Xiaomi phones?
why Giztop is not best choice in terms of free-tax shipping? did you have to pay?
@@nasserjabi I meant Giztop is not the best free-tax shipping option according to this video. The best one is Wonda Mobile, since it's the only store where AverageDadOfficial never had to pay any additional fees. I haven't bought from Giztop yet neither, sorry, but I am considering it. The only thing pulling me back is the fact that AverageDadOfficial has already been taxed a few times when buying from it.
Will the Vevo X Plus foldable work with Straight Talk in South Carolina I'm trying to figure out how can I order that phone
no idea.... guys??
Have you bought the oppo find n2 fold? considering purchasing, bit not sure if i should expect any issues....
The find N3 will be out soon!
@@AverageDadOfficial i hear that, however it wont be the same size as the n1 and n2, as it'll be slightly bigger i believe.
Can we still get OTA updates on Chinese devices with Global ROM installed? A Chinese seller told me that only Chinese ROM receives OTA updates. The device that I bought had the Chinese ROM but the seller unlocked the bootloader and installed the Global ROM!
No it won't
Being from Italy, i'm unsure if i should import a Redmi Note 12 Turbo from GizTop because i don't know if they will let me pay extra VAT and customs because it could go out of my budget
i just buy same phone and they send me this email: hello,
thanks for your order.
we just process it by Express shipping, the tracking number will be offered later today by email.
here we offered two files in attachment, which is the lower value invoice and paypal certification which we put inside the package, if any customs clearence documents needed, please use them for solving the issue.
attention:
1. If the marking value under 160Euros as we showed on invoice, the taxes will be paid by our own IOSS account, normally, there is no taxes charged for you at most time.
2. Once you offered the higher value invoice more than 160Euros, then the taxes will be paid by yourself.
3. If local customs office didn't accept this lower value invoice which we put inside package, they will contact you to offer the new invoice, then you can email us here, we may offer solution, or responsilble partial taxes as compensation.
thanks.
@@gustavosobreira6169Hey Gustavo! Do you happen to be from Portugal or Brazil? Just guessing from your name, as I'm brazilian myself and I'm actually planning on buying from Giztop to Portugal, as I'll be in Portugal on a trip soon.
Mind sharing how was your purchase experience and what was the value of the phone? Did you get taxed? I didn't understand much of the e-mail. Have they already included inside the box a value to be paid to the customs, but if the customs won't accept that the content is below €150, they don't accept the value offered by Giztop and ask you to pay for customs yourself? Is that it?
I'd be really grateful if you can clarify those things, and you can do so in portuguese if you are portuguese yourself or brazilian, of course!
@@LostJak eu comprei o xiaomi 12 turbo, paguei o envio por expresso e veio por dhl. Não paguei nenhuma taxa, o celular chegou perfeito. Tudo certinho...
Does the phone come with a Chinese charger and is giztop safe to use? Thx
Yes a Chinese charger but adapters are cheap.
Gizstop are one of the best 👍
I use a oppo find X6 pro and Huawei P60 😊 imported from china
Hiya mate, I might have missed it, I think someone else asked but I couldn't see an answer. Can you get Android Auto to work on Chinese versions, kind of a deal breaker for me if not. Also there seems to be Global Versions, any idea if they work on Android Auto? Any help appreciated. Cheers.
Hey, global versions will all work fine with android auto! the Chinese versions need to be bootloaded and flashed to a global ROM... not hard but takes a while to do.
@@AverageDadOfficial thanks man, like the look of the OPPO Find X6 pro, just read notifications don't work properly on Chinese imports either 😒 looks like I'll potentially be sticking with the X5 pro for now... Shame, really looks a class phone.
@@AverageDadOfficial did you have a video on that? I couldn't find anything on our channel
Hello my friend, I bought the vivo x fold plus phone from Bludiode, is this site reliable? Is it late in importing? I live in Sweden,🌹
Hey, totally reliable! there was a delay recently due to the Chinese new year however, this should no longer impact. Thanks for watching!
Hello from the UK
Do you have any safe sites you could recommend me?
Wonda mobile, link in video description.
Gizstop also great
@@AverageDadOfficial thank you I will check it out
If I import it in Belgium (European country) i have to pay extra customs duty or any tax?
Not through Wonda mobile, they sort that for you included in proce.

Do banking aps work in the UK on an imported Xiaomi phone
Yes, I use RBS, Barclays, virgin money and Revolut. All apps work. Normal 👍
Is this for Global version and Chinese Versions if ordered to the UK?
I’m considering to import an OPPO find x6 pro from china, do you know if these phone receive regular software updates disregarding their version (Chinese/global)?
indeed they do, i am buying the same device soon. reviews coming up!

Yes, 1 year warranty
Does Android pay and Android auto work? And how has service been? I'm actually on t mobile in the US so very curious! I'm looking at the Oppo Find X6 Pro
Same here, thinking about getting the Find X6 Pro in the US
Same here, any update?
@@Goldenkloobus Android auto doesn't and no way to get it, Android pay does though. I wish OnePlus would just rebrand it as a OnePlus Ultra and sell it for $1,000... One can dream. I don't think I'll buy but if you do let me know how it goes! P60 Pro just wiped the floor with its cameras!
@@hdwblade yea but huawei without google is kinda pointless

I am in India and thinking of getting oppo tab 2 or any similar tab. Should I get it from them ?
no reason why not! cheaper than anywhere else.
@@AverageDadOfficial but taxes on imports are high here. Gotta look at them once. Nevertheless thank you for reply 🙌

Yes 👍
What do you think about chineese version with global rom?
best of both worlds!

thanks for pointing out what a nightmare this is. all i heard is drawbacks for 15mins. why would anyone do such a nonsense?
For UK users, which would you recommend out of Giztop and Wonda? I dont care much for Google Pay, but would Global Rom be a good choice for UK users? Want to get a Xiaomi 13 Ultra but hesitant 😬
It might be your lucky day. I have a brand new and unused 13 Ultra and I will sell for the right price.
Global ROM

It’s a great looking device!!
Not sure about Verizon as I’m in the UK
Hi Im living in UAE right now, I'm looking to import chinese rom xiaomi 14 , for this moment globel version is not launched,,, so my question is,, If I'm buying chinese rom now, after few months launching of global rom, still can I install global in my mobile??
Hey, of course. as soon as ROM is available, you can flash to the device. well worth buying now because the global version will be well over £1000
@@AverageDadOfficial If you don't mind one more question,, after flashing to global ROM still I'll be getting regular updates??
I imported the vivo x fold to California, I sold it in 2 days. Nothing worked it was a shit show. I was very disappointed. To ensure proper function and compatibility, I will only be buying phones that are sold by T-Mobile 😔
That sucks! Such a great phone.
I thought it was only Berizon that had issues with imports over your way.
You have to make sure the phone supports the same network bands as T-mobile. T-mobile uses GSM network so choose a phone that supports GSM. I have T-mobile and bought a Oppo phone and it supports GSM network
