11:01 "things are for wearing and enjoying; we should wear the clothes, they shouldn't wear us" that philosophy earned a subscribe, my friend! As someone who loves quality footwear, watches and other clothing, the wear is something you have to roll with.
Exactly the way a cobbler, here in the Netherlands, told me some 50 years ago. Works absolutely fabulous. You can also buy a course rubber bloc to clean nubuck leather but it also works fine on your suede shoes. I always treat my suede shoes twice a year, store them clean and coloured for the next season which is guite practical. One pair was completely soaked a couple of weeks ago, dryed them carefully and only had to brush them with a course brush. These sprays are magic. Take good care of your shoes and they'll last for years. My oldest pair of shoes are more than 35 years old.
I just found out how tedious maintaining a pair of suede shoes. But this is a big help to keep my footwear in pristine condition. Thank you very much for sharing. I enjoyed watching your video. 🤩
Fantastic, thanks for sharing this. I've got a very similar pair from Church's, and wear them, not just admire them in my wardrobe. This guide will help me to spruce them up and keep them looking great.
Just got me a pair of suede loafers at a thrift shop. They’re dark green (almost to the point of seeming black), and fit just perfectly. This video was most helpful to guide me on renovating them
Excellent and yes, very helpful. I already used the suede brush after each wearing and don’t wear anything suede in the rain. However, the stemming and conditioning underneath the shoes on the sole was a new twist (and dressing on the heels…normally just wiped them with a cloth). Thanks!! Would love to have one of those Church’s aprons if you have time to tell me where I can get one!!
Thank you very much. The aprons came with a special range of shoes we did years ago along with a polish kit. Sadly Church ( owned by Prada ) doubled their prices two years ago and are now only available in their own shops. They may still do an apron🤝🥂
Excellent video. You’re right about spraying in a well ventilated area, preferably outside. I knew a woman who died from shoe protecter spraying too much indoors.
I have two pairs of light suede Chelsea boots from Crockett&Jones, while driving the car I was "scrubbing" the heel part on the rubber mats, but I couldn't (and still can't) remove the stains. Thank you for your program, it taught me a lot.
brilliant vdo Jeremey, having lived in a cadet college, i know wat 'military shine' means....my preferred shoe brand is the Spanish designer - Magnianni
Thank you Sir for showing me how to care for my suede footwear. Might I add an important point? Wait till the wife is out of the house before doing that in the kitchen. lol
I am seriously considering buying a pair of not inexpensive Crockett & Jones Chukka boots, because unfortunately for me they are (to my knowledge) the only UK manufacturer currently producing narrow fitting footwear. Your cared for boots look fantastic, although like many people I am a bit nervous about wearing suede in the rain. My understanding is that it's basically OK unless they get absolutely drenched. But anyway, thanks again for your helpful video.
Your well spoken retail patter was informal yet not rambling, the tips were well explained, although I wouldn't use the kettle, I'd rather keep it for its intended use.
Do you agree that a suede chukka boot is interchangeable with a suede chelsea boot or do I need to by myself a pair of chukka boots aswell? In my opinion they share the same silhuette.
do you have any advice on how to properly care for witner bots im talking abouta beautifull derby bott with oxford toe cap somethign like the bots crocket and joens sells
Same as shoes , brush out the weldts and uppers. Apply cream renovating polish and brush off . Apply shoe wax , dry to haze and buff off. Store boots with ankle boot trees🤝

Happy to help!🥂🥂
I was taught at Yves Saint Laurent Haute Couture to use a Scotch Brite green scouring pad....just like on the back of sponges in the kitchen!!!
Mmmm will give it a try on some old ones…. Also the eraser ( magic sponge) is good🤝
Always wondered how you restore suede boots & now i know. Thankyou.
Glad it is of help🤝

Glad it was helpful… enjoy your shoes.. what a find!
Enjoyed your video. Good tips.
But the most important thing I learned:
I need one of those Church's aprons. : )
Glad it was helpful!🤝🤝
Indeed changing laces and lace colour is one of the quickest and most cost effective ways to renew, elevate or dress down footwear
🎯🎯🤝
Absolutely amazing content, every video very informative and with much clarity and quality. Superb job! 🔥
Thank you very much 🤝🥂
I just came across your UA-cam channel Mr. Woods and I love it. Keep making the videos. I really appreciate it. Thanks.

Sorry to hear that…. Suede protector smells good…. So I suppose we inhale… so better outside 🤝
Excellent video. You vould do a bideo or discuss suede jackets. I have not worn suede for many years.
It is really helpful … thank you
You are welcome!🤝🤝

Thank you, I have ordered Saphir Renovating Edge Dressing Cream, and hopefully learn from this great video 👍
Hope it helps.. but do be careful with dressing the edges if suede shoes 🤝🤝
Thank you for this. I haven't done more than brush and spray. Would love to have some tips for suede jackets.
🙏🤝
Thank you. This is very useful information. I recently purchased a pair of suede boots and was wondering if I should spray them before my first wear?
Yes definitely . We ask all customers purchasing suede shoes if we can spray them for them with suede protector 🤝
Thank you. Should any suede protector work?
That was helpful and timely for me to learn as I just purchased a pair.
Hope it will stand you in good stead… don’t forget to spray them before you wear them🤝
@@rhodeswood5513 Thank you; I surely will.
Excellent 👌🏻 thank you for the guidance I can now give this a go on my suede Chelsea’s
Go for it🤝🤝

Thank you …. The style ‘chukka’ is a D fitting so narrower…. Douse them with suede protector …. You’ll be fine 🤝🤝🥂
Awesome cleaning of suede.
Thank you!
Very useful tips for. Can also be applied for suede sneakers....

Thank you , I’ve bought a steam gun now which is a game changer… video soon🙏🤝🤝
Thank you for sharing, this will be so helpful!
Im enjoying your videos and have learnt a few things. I wonder, would you be seen in a pair of Dr Martins?🙂 Thanks.
Used to wear them as a teenager, polished with Tuxan red and I had yellow laces.
Do you ever come to New York City for made to measure suits and jackets?
It is something we are looking into. Please email us info@rhodeswood.co.uk
Same pair i have by mistake shoe glue sticked on suede,,very thin layer along side sole,,how to remove it
Thank you! How would you treat a grease spot on a suede shoe?
Put some cornflour on to soak up the grease, brush off and repeat if necessary . The clean and protect . S difficult one . 🤝
@@rhodeswood5513 Thank you so much.
Thank you so much, very simple clean didn’t need to buy many products, and saved my prom
Glad it helped!🤝
What about using a suede cleaner or shampoo ?
Yes if needed…. I seem to get most things off with this though🤝
Thank you, Sir. Regards from Germany
🤝🤝🥂
Do you agree that a suede chukka boot is interchangeable with a suede chelsea boot or do I need to by myself a pair of chukka boots aswell? In my opinion they share the same silhuette.
I think it’s down to preference… I have several pairs of suede chukka…. One pair of Chelsea…. Which I just don’t get on with🤷🏻♂️🤝🥂
Both!
Who would have thought cleaning shoes could be so cathartic
If in the mood… it is 🤝🥂

Can blue dye from the hems of jeans be removed from mid brown suede boots?
If it’s penetrated to skin … like a tattoo .. could be difficult
Try rubbing lighter fuel over , then dry and apply neutral cream and then polish
Hello! How does suede shoes resist rain, dirt and dust over time?
They need spraying with suede protector for rain and brushing with a suede brush for dust🥂
How about jackets? Took mine to laundry, they said no water, still can see some "old spots" ❤
I'd like to know what boots these are. Look nice.
They are by Cheaney🥂
@rhodeswood5513 thank you !!
As soon as I heard his voice, I knew this video would be exquisite.
Thank you🤝
Great vlog, could watch this all night 🌙....jeddi master at work....massive respect 🙏 🫡....
Glad you enjoyed it Mark and thank you 🥂
Great info here! Cheers!!
👍👍👏👏👏👏🤩 BRAVOOOO!!!
Was that black polish on the sides of the sole?
Renovating polish/cream🤝
I am afraid, you've already "dyed" a bit os suede with this shoe cream. Maybe a good idea would be to use a masking tape?
Yes I did say be careful …and …wasn’t. However they are ‘old’ day off boots and look a lot better than before🥂
Thank you .
You are welcome!🤝🤝
Lovely video. Cheers.
Thank you! Cheers!
Great video
a steamer is better than a kettle
It’s what we had in the shop and this kettle won’t boil continuously
I prefer a large pan at home 🥂
thanks for your tutorial
You are welcome🤝
Sir: Thank you for this valuable video.
You are most welcome🥂
Bom trabalho,mas poderia falar menos?

Nice task, dear Sir.
I'll put hands over a pair of carpincho loafers
👏🏻👏🏻 I’ve got a pair I can drop off 😅
Casual fix ? Suede shoes? More like Adidas tracksuit and under armour trainers
Gym clothes?…🤷🏻♂️😂
