  • We turned the traditional tiller on its head to create the smoothest, fastest tilling experience ever. The Bronco Axis Tiller features new vertical tines work together like a giant eggbeater to break down hard packed dirt and clumps to create finely tilled soil in just one pass, so you can get your hands in the dirt and start planting faster. It also tills forward through the soil at its full depth to create a smoother tilling experience. Learn more about the Bronco Axis at www.troybilt.com/equipment/tro....

I have the Cub Cadet VT100 version - the same as the TB, just different handlebars and it has a front bumper that the TB does not. It’s the best tiller for clay soil. If you till through roots or vines they can wrap around the tine drive shafts and tear the seals. Like all roto tillers, be sure to check the transmission oil level prior to use for best longevity. Also like all tillers; when new be sure to grease up the axles that the wheels bolt onto - or deal with difficult to remove wheels that later rust onto the axles.

I read that this tiller was discontinued. None appear to be made after 2019. What’s wrong with it?

How do the tines handle relatively large rocks? Looks like the egg beaters would jam up in my soil.... I had one rock jam a 42 inch hydraulic tiller. The Axis doesn't look beefy enough to withstand much rock abuse...Are there plans for a larger model? I would like to put one to the test here before buying it.

We have a Troy Bronco Tiller, but we are doing something wrong. It runs away with us. Help!!

+itsyboo1950 It's too light and the tines turn too slow. There's not much you can do to get a bronco to break ground, It's pretty much a cultivator.

Does this have a reverse action? I "wore-out" one Pony and the second I decided to save a couple $s, and didn't get the reverse feature. BIG MISTAKE. Try not to let anyone buy one without the reverse feature. This new one looks good, but I'd hate to have to drag it backward.

I'd just like to know who the genius was that invented the tiller blades on the Bronco to go clockwise and the drive tires to go counter-clockwise. This causes the dirt and clogs of grass to plug up under the shroud. So the drive tires are pulling the tiller forward and the tiller tines are pulling the tiller backward. Stupid.

Those are called counter rotating tines. There one word for your whole paragraph. Why would you want them to spin the same direction...so it runs away on you?

I had a Troy built Horse years ago and the tines rotated forward thus helping the machine pull forward and the clogs of fresh ground would not clog under the shroud. Makes sense to me.
