Li'l Dizzy's Cafe - goo.gl/maps/mXLZ5Zy4uktPVM2v9 - When I was in New Orleans, one of the restaurants I was most looking forward to eating at was Li'l Dizzy's Cafe, serving Creole soul food. They use family recipes and they have daily specials that rotate. The day I went, there was fried chicken and smothered okra which I ordered along with a smothered catfish plate. The food was home-cooked tasting and outstanding. Again, one of my favorite restaurants in New Orleans. Price - $14.99 per plate
Frady's One Stop Food Store - g.page/frady-s-one-stop-food-... - Next up on this New Orleans food tour we headed to Frady's One Stop Food Store to eat plate lunches as well. On this day the daily special was red beans and rice, one of the signature dishes of Louisiana. I got it with sausage, and it was wonderful. Price - $8 per plate

They are most famous for their chargrilled oysters, which are grilled over fire, lathered in butter and cheese, and set on fire. They are some of the most amazing cooked oysters you’ll ever eat, and they are without a doubt one of the best bites of food in all of New Orleans and the United States!
