That child should never have to go back to that school. Really, NO child should have to go to that school. It's not safe.

The hock on the bathroom door is above head. What was a fourth grader doing in the stall with a second grader?

Lack of teachers & staff looking out for kids today’s schools are not the same that’s why many parents homeschool! So much bullying in elementary from kindergarten on up smh!

They learn it from the parents. Don't blame the teachers bc parents aren't treating their children to respect others.

Is the school supposed to put cameras in the bathroom and monitor the cameras? Please kids screw up. They do stupid stuff hanging. A kid on a hanger in the bathroom is unacceptable, but the age difference in the kids is only a couple of years.
That doesn't excuse. The stupidity of the older kid, but for the people not to show their faces on camera and say that the school is at fault.I feel that is not right either

According to the Washington Post: The younger boy almost died from strangulation. Someone found him in the stall foaming at the mouth, and he was rushed to Children's National Medical Center in D.C. When his mother was contacted by the school, she was told that he was choking, and she thought that meant he was eating lunch at the time. When she arrived at the hospital, she realized this was much more serious.

Those couple of years make a BIG difference at those ages there's absolutely no reason they should be in the rest room together. In my daughters school k-2 are on one side of the school and 3-5 are on the other side and the only time they are mixed is on the bus. There's absolutely no reason they should have even been able to be in there at the same time at all. And if it was kids just being kids then why didn't the 4th graders go get help? He left that boy there to die.

@@l.a.3479 That's true, but it depends on intent. I could see a child lifting up a little kid by their jacket and then leaving them dangling by the jacket on the hook because it seemed funny to swing around, but not obviously deadly. They don't know about safety harnesses and whatnot. (Which are what make it possible for stuntmen and other pros to do safely.)
